I always have a great experience at CoCo. The ambiance is really nice, the place is clean and welcoming, and the food always looks fresh and appealing. The service is consistently good--staff are friendly, efficient, and make the whole experience even better. Most importantly, the bubble tea never fails to impress me. The quality is always consistent, and you can really tell they know what they're doing. My go-to order is the taro milk tea with pearls, and it's amazing every time. All the locations I've been to are amazing and maintain the same high standard. The only thing I'd love to see is a location in North Delta--it would make it even more convenient! Your average bubble tea shop. There was a promo for a 3.99 floral latte (osmathus/Jasmine/rose teas) with purchase of a large drink, so we decided to try something new. It could be served hot or cold. The osmanthus flavour did come through but the drink tasted watery overall, not sure if it was because we chose cold and there was ice. The whipped cream on top was a nice surprise! Service was quick despite a busy store and lots of takeout orders. They were also able to answer questions we had about the promo and drinks. Came here for the first time recently- tried the Brown Sugar Pearl Latte, which is basically a Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea since you can't taste any coffee. Bigger and cheaper than most bubble tea shops. The pearls we had were nice, fresh, and hot. Not the best Brown Sugar Pearl Latte, but decent. I've been here twice, it's ok. They don't have an extensive menu like other bbt shops. I ordered the Mango Yakult and my friend ordered the Passion fruit and Mango slush. Mango Yakult Not as yogurty as I thought it'd be. The mango taste was there. I thought mine was pretty sweet. Nothing special, I probably rather just go to T&T to buy a pack of Yakult. Passion Fruit and Mango Slush He ordered his drink with pearls and coconut jelly. He didn't think his drink was sweet , but when I tried it, it was way sweeter than my drink. **3.5 stars** A lot of people taking advantage of their great Grand Opening Deal of Buy One Drink and get a Free Regular Milk Tea! The line was up to the door and it was hot inside (no air con. felt where I was). There weren't any prices on their menu either but I think a Large drink is $5.30 and a Regular sized drink is $4.30, or at least that's what was on my receipt. There's only about 10 available drink choices currently. I chose the Lemon Yakult. It was really really sweet but had the expected lemony calpico taste. It was good, because when I took it home I diluted it with water, which gave me more bang for my buck! But if you order this, try 1/2 sweet if you can't dilute it. I got the free Milk Tea with pearls. The milk tea was rich and deep in tea flavour with the milk making it creamy and smooth. The Pearls were really chewy and had a subtle sweetness, plus they gave a decent amount to last me throughout the drink. The wait time for the 2 drinks was about 15 minutes, considering about 4-5 people in front of me. I always appreciate the options to change your level of sugar and ice %. Always no ice for my milk tea, don't want to dilute the drink and it comes decently cold from the start. Overall, it was very bright and clean inside, nice seating, and friendly staff considering the massive amount of people. My go-to bubble tea spot. I've never had Coco ever waver, it's been consistently decent and the drinks come out pretty fast. Staff does their job quick. My only complaint is that new (teenage?) girl they hired at the front can't listen properly or needs to process things slowly and iteratively. And I know she's new because I've been going to this place consistently. I think this is also the staff in a previous review who was condescending and stares daggers at you, because I notice she tends to do that. I've tested this several times, when I get to the front I'll say my usual order, including temperature and side (it's not too complicated, trust me) - and she'll ignore that, she'll only hear what flavour it is, and then ask you what temperature, and then what sides. It's like she can't remember the entire phrase when you first repeat it to her, for example, try "hot taro milk tea with pearls", she will say taro milk tea? and you'll be like yes, and she'll be like, do you want it hot or cold? And you'll be like, hot ?? and then she'll be like, anything else? And you'll be like, I said pearls? This happened like twice. Coco used to be a relatively cheaper option compared to other bubble tea franchises. Sadly, at over $6/$6.50 a drink I think there are better options out there, especially with all the new shops popping up in Richmond. The pearls for my drink were chewy and quite yummy, but the drink tasted very artificial even though I ordered from their fresh milk series. Needless to say that the young female cashier is super rude. She speaks to you in a condescending way and stares at you with a straight face when you ask her something. So make more!!!!!!!! If you have a customer calling to order it all the way from Vancouver, then put it on the stove And make it right away!!!!!!! It's happened where I arrived TWICE before they began to make it, even when I was notified on the phone it would take 20 minutes. Keep up with the supply & demand... Or don't serve it AT ALL. 2. Order is always WRONG. There is tea, there is milk tea. If I say tea... I mean tea. Geez. 3. Toppings are wrong. It came wrong too. Not sure why they can't punch in orders correctly. 4. BOBA is hard. I stopped ordering boba here. Boba is pretty much the main topping to any BBT shop. It's always hard. I gave up on it. Other than all those issues, the tea is fantastic. It just takes very long to get your orders right with this specific location. I really hope they open another one closer to me soon. (1 STAR UPDATE) Update: After ordering by phone, and waiting 30 minutes at the location for my drink, one of the workers was super rude to me and said 1 out of 2 of my drinks that had Sago couldn't be fulfilled because they ran out and it would take ANOTHER 20 minutes. I already waited 30 min and was aware of the sago wait. I told him the situation how I already waited long before I stepped foot into the shop because I ordered specifically by phone. His response was "did you see the line?" WTF!!!!!!!!!!! There was like 3 people ahead of me only. CHA TIME HAS LINES 10x this size. I was shocked. I'm pretty patient. Also another one out of my five total drinks was wrong and they had to correct it. Gave me milk instead of regular tea. Whoever is running this shop, your workers are incompetent. Not only did they get my order wrong on the phone, at payment, and at delivery... they were rude too. I'm the type of customer that buys 5+ drinks a DAY, 4 days out of 7 per week. When I'm doing everything I can to get my order, even calling in advance... and you have 10 workers running around and can't have SAGO ready when you have 3 customers only in line... your doing something WRONG! Although it seems picky, as someone who doesnt like "fresh milk drinks" (reminds me of having cereal with milk- which I eat every day lol) just the slight variant between milk tea and plain milk makes a huge difference in taste. 5 stars for perfect chewy tapioca pearls - the best I've had in a long time. I like the pearls here better than other bubbletea shops. I think I've found a new favorite bubble tea place, as well as Chatime, ever since my terrible experiences at Fair Bee bubbletea at both Lansdowne mall and Richmond Center (read my previous reviews on Fair Bee venues). 2 stars for the small space and hard wood/plastic type seating. I'm giving the venue 3 stars for now since they are only offering ten flavors, but I will probably update in the future with more stars if I try more flavors. The seats are kind of hard though (wood) while the Chatime in Richmond has comfy sofa chairs and fabric chairs. I will definately come back for more and I recommend CoCo since they have the buy 1 get 1 free promo from now till June 12. CoCo has become one of my favourite places to get bubble tea in Vancouver. Ever since their grand opening, which attracted a lot of positive attention to their brand throughout the city, I've been addicted. Their pearl milk tea (just regular black milk tea with pearls) is one of the most flavourful, complex milk teas I've ever had. It tastes so different from every other franchise's milk tea and that's exactly what keeps me coming back! I can't help but gravitate towards their milky drinks every time, and they've never left me disappointed. For their grand opening, my friend and I waited over 30 minutes in line because they were having a buy one get one free promotion. The line ran out the door but customers happily waited for their orders nonetheless. Around 30 minutes in, a server comes out and tells the line that they've run out of tea. Run out of tea!? A bubble tea shop with no tea?! They then told us that it would take at least 30 more minutes (more like 45 minutes) for them to make a new batch of tea, so whoever wanted to wait could stay. Having been in line for half an hour already, my friend and I decided to scrap the BOGO deal and leave. The servers seemed quite flustered (I don't blame them at all; grand openings can be ludicrous) and their time approximation promise seemed a little shaky. Despite my first experience with CoCo being an unfortunate one, I didn't allow it to leave a bitter taste in my mouth. Giving CoCo one more chance (and many more) was the right decision. They delivered awesome drinks and good service and kept me coming back for more. Their service is also reasonably fast for the volume of customers they receive. My mother ordered the large matcha milk tea with red bean. The red beans were sweetened to the right degree but there was barely any matcha flavour. I got the milk tea from the buy one, get one free deal. I couldn't taste any black tea flavour which was disappointing and they didn't have any pearls at 11:30am. If you want pearls, go later in the day. There is also an option of less ice or less sweetness to better suit your taste buds. Staff are polite and helpful. Although maybe they could understand the customers needs for NO sugar options a bit better. They do offer no added sugar options or sweetness levels and you can add extra tapioca or none at all to the drink of your choosing. So yah, Yay! I am a fan! First time here. Lots of parking in the complex and available. Went on a weekend and there was a line up to the door with about 6 people ahead of me with 3 staff members working. I found nothing particularly special about CoCo's bubble tea (I tried the 3 Guys - tapioca, pudding and grass jelly in milk tea - which was nice), so by all means order some to get your fix. If you prefer a noisy study spot (as they have free wifi and plenty of outlets), just prepare for the blasting air conditioner that seems to never let up. Layers are key! read more

Probably the best bubble tea you can get in Richmond and basically all of Vancouver! I usually get the pearl bubble tea with less ice and 50% sugar, which I think is perfect! Definitely try this place out if you haven't already, the price is moderately okay: around $5.05 including tax, for a regular size of regular pearl milk tea. The service can be quite slow, as there are many people waiting and ordering their drinks. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to the people who love their bubble teas :) in my opinion, this place is better than chatime (taste wise)!! read more

Went to get a large bubble tea for my two young kids to share and was told that if they split a large drink into two small cups, they wouldn't be able to seal it.
