Deep Fried Crispy Popcorn Chicken w/ Noodle Soup -$18
Cally Y.

Definitely on the pricey side (ordered Deep Fried Crispy Popcorn Chicken w/ Noodle Soup -$18) given the portion size I got mild spice level and somehow I was dying from both the mala of the noodles and spicy seasoning of the chicken (maybe im just weak LOL) my favourite part though was the ambience! this place has one of the most uniquely designed interiors I've ever seen- really gives the vibe of vintage street style food stalls or something

We spent too much time at Costco...by the time we got to the rest., it was already 2:45 and they close at 3 for lunch. We quickly ordered a bowl of Taiwanese stewed pork on rice + crispy fried boneless chicken. Pork stew on rice(魯肉飯)-- $14.50 Tasty, no bad porky smell from pork used, a decent sized bowl Deep fried chicken pieces( 鹽酥鷄)--$14.50--Crispy with a light batter, boneless all dark meat, a lil on the saltier side, good with beer! There is a variety of Taiwanese beer even lychee and pineapple beer! Highly recommend. Great value for price paid, since they are closing in 15 min., we ordered and paid at the same time. It's mainly like a Japanese izakaya, a lot of varieties in appetizer portions. Big "drinks", fancy tea section for the younger crowd! Polite efficient waitstaff in a warm cozy environment.

Honestly, a top place for taiwanese cuisine. During peak times, beware of long waits, and there are plenty of alcohol options here. The inside is a quirky vibe, with plenty of interesting decor, which was cool. I have been here plenty of times, and the quality is very consistent. The number one thing here is the popcorn chicken, it really sets a high bar and is the best I have ever tasted. It is light and crispy on the outside with delicious seasoning and when you bite in, juices flood your mouth and you taste tender chicken. But besides that the reason I gave it four stars and if I could I would have given it four and a half is because a lot of the other food is average this such as the appetizer platter. Great experience it'll still go to spot for popcorn chicken!

Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall, this place teleports you into a street in Taiwan with classic eats. I had been craving Taiwanese food and was not disappointed here. Menu is on a QR code, and ordering is done online. We got the popcorn chicken meal, the meat bowl, spicy wontons, and the brick toast. Flavor was authentic for the meat bowl. The popcorn chicken was piping hot and super crispy. Wontons were Szechuan so they had a bit of numbing goodness. The brick toast was warm and soft in the center. Everything hit the spot! It seems they have a lamb hot pot special. Would need to try this next time! I only wish I lived closer.

Cozy + fun decorated. Great for introverts , brought to our table then order through your phone using QR code menus. They also have a paper menu if you request. Popcorn chicken with sides was super tasty. Tried a couple different Taiwan beers and were great and loved the mango one. Also had noodle soup and the noodles were really soft.

Came here for dinner on a rainy night after work. It's been awhile since we came here. The last time we came only gave me 3-star satisfaction but tonight's dinner was a 5-star for sure. Dishes were seasoned and tasty. It filled us with comfort. Our orders for 3 pax: *DF Crispy Popcorn Chicken Combo: [Included 3 Side Dishes, Rice, Soup] Popcorn chicken is always a must try here. They've perfected this dish - tender inside with crispy outside *3 Cups Stewed Abalone Mushroom w/Rice Oyster mushrooms sautéed in 3cup sauce - never thought this is good. Oh boy it is! *Sesame Oil Chicken w/Angel Hair Ndle w/ Bones This noodle soup is so comforting, a true Taiwanese dish! Deep flavour of ginger sautéed in sesame oil and starkly juxtaposed with the sweetness of red dates was a perfect comfort dish *Pork Floss Egg Rolls Was hesitant to order this dish because I wasn't sure what egg rolls were. Turns out to be green onion pancakes 蔥油餅 rolled with pork floss. How can you go wrong with this. Super delicious.

Our friend recommended us this authentic taiwanese restaurant in Richmond, bc. Parking lot: free shared limited parking or street parking. Restrooms: male, female restrooms Reservation: no We arrived around 5pm on Saturday, we just barely beat the dinner rush. The seating area are street food vendor style. Kinda cute. Service: ok, they don't look very happy. Order: via your phone. We ordered: Mixed deep fried appetizers platter Taiwanese squid omelette Wonton with chili sauce Pumpkin soy milk hotpot with pork comes with rice Taiwanese meat sauce over rice Stir fry chicken bento combo Overall food quality is great, taste good.

Awesome authentic Taiwanese food. The decor of the place is always so fun and sets the mood really well. Be prepared to line up during prime peak periods. The ordering system is through your phone so it takes a minute to adjust to how to order and the options they provide for each dish. Otherwise, the food comes out fast, and amazing quality and flavors. Their fruit drinks are also really good.

Tasty authentic Taiwanese food with a variety of classics to choose from. Ordered the noodles with fried pork and left stuffed. Must order one item per person though which was unfortunate

This is a Taiwanese place in Richmond and I love the interior design of this place! This is also the restaurant my girlfriend frequents a lot when she used to be in Vancouver, and the food quality has been consistent while prices have significantly increased. Even then, the food total is still a fraction of the cost of dining out in the US so it is still good priced in my books. We walked in around 8pm without a wait and got seated at a 2-top facing the wall. A lot of ambience is removed as a result as we were confined in a side of the restaurant. You scan the QR code to place the order, so we got the popcorn chicken, fried pork chop combo, and shrimp omelet. The popcorn chicken is nicely spiced and decently salted, and it is one of the better ones out there. The fried pork chop is similarly flavorful but with hints of sweetness to it. The combo comes with a large bowl of rice and some vegetables, which are honestly a bit underwhelming but a good addition to round out the meal. The shrimp omelet is interesting as it was super chewy, so it felt more like a glutinous pancake than an omelet that is purely egg and shrimp. Service is fairly hands off as expected for these restaurants, but it would have been nice if they actually refilled the teapot that they served us since we were thirsty. Otherwise, food is great but could be a better experience overall.

Fried rice, braised pork over rice, wonton

Memory Corner was highly rated on social media so I had to check it out. Everything ordered was very tasty and at a reasonable price. I tried the braised pork over rice, wontons and fried rice. Around dinnertime on a Saturday, there was a wait list and it was about 30 min. There were 2 benches outside or there was a bench inside the restaurant to wait. Besides that, they did such a great job on the interior. It feels very traditional and vintage. Food came out pretty fast too. I would definitely come back to eat here again.

Not bad if you like fried stuff. Their chicken nuggets are spectacular with 5 spice seasoning. It has lovely decor but hard wooden seats and the service is good. The place is busy on weekends and they have good options for drinks and teas.

I loved the atmosphere and ambiance here. The inside is nicely decorated and lively. I got the popcorn chicken set and really like the sides that came with it. This place gets PACKED though! We came on a Tuesday night and had to wait close to 30 minutes. My friends and I were visiting from the US and really enjoyed our experience!

My only feedback would be is if they had some photos on their menu to be more clear as to what the dishes are and how they are prepared.

What's appealing here is that their Instagram advertises daily specials so you can get some dishes for a great discount (like 40% off). We tried the braised combo (pork ear, pork intestines, fish cake), Taiwanese egg wrap, braised pork sauce rice with deep fried pork chop, and yam taro mochi balls. The braised combo is pretty solid - I didn't really like the funkiness to the intestines (I generally enjoyed it in barbecue settings) but the fish cake was fantastic. I also liked the texture of the pork ears. The Taiwanese egg wrap was a bit tasteless, so I wouldn't recommend. Braised pork sauce rice is the lu ruo fan which is a large portion with seaweed, bean sprouts, and soup on the side. Pork chop was flavorful and juicy but not crispy batter, which is okay. Yam taro mochi balls were sweet and chewy. I don't like taro but I loved this dessert! Service is okay. They give a water jug for self pour but the water jug was of questionable cleanliness. The specials were not discounted so we called it out and we weren't told that we had to put the order with a server, not the QR code, so it was a strange interaction. They ended up honoring the discount. Also, they shut down ordering 1 min before 10:30pm - guess they didn't want more money as we wanted to order 1 more dish and they preemptively told the kitchen to close. Sure it's fine no big deal, it was a lot of food.

The dining space is small but the decoration inside makes you feel like you transported to a different country. Marshmallow Thick Toast 4/5 The toast was about an inch thick, well toasted outside with a pillowy soft center. There's some melted chocolate on the bottom that added to the smores vibe. The marshmallows on top weren't very thick, so it melted to an even layer with perfect browning. The toast was cut into 9 pieces so it can be shared but given the portion I think 1-2 people would be fitting for this dessert. We weren't too hungry, so we shared amongst 4. Jasmine Tea Jelly 4/5 I really liked how fragrant the jelly was and that the jelly was a softer jelly that reminds you of Aiyu jelly. The after taste was a bit bitter but I feel like that tells me it was brewed and made and not just bought to serve. It's served with a splash of half and half I believe. To-Go I wanted to try and compare all the tea flavored jellies they had, Jasmine, Oolong and Earl Grey Tea Jelly. Packaged with small packets of the half and half to add later. The best was OOLONG 5/5- it had a slight roasted tea flavor that was refreshing and comforting at the same time. What you would want from a milk tea. Second best was Jasmine - fragrant and less bitter than the one I had in restaurant, typical jasmine flavor that's lightly floral and not too heavy Earl Grey 3/5 - it was good if you like earl grey like me, but it has an intensely strong fragrance and flavor that might be off-putting if you're not used to the taste. It was by far the strongest floral taste and smell of the three. I'd definitely be back to get these to go, they carry well and you can cross borders with them :)

The service was excellent from start to finish. They were incredibly patient and took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food did not disappoint. All the Taiwanese snacks we tried were delicious and full of authentic flavors. Our absolute favorite was the shaved ice--it was refreshing, perfectly textured, and just amazing! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for genuine Taiwanese food and warm, attentive service. At first glance, the prices are average for this type of food. However, once I saw the humongous portions, I believe this vendor should clearly be categorized as cheap eats. For example, for roughly $10, you get three large pork chops (fried or marinated, I slightly preferred the fried more), sautéed cauliflower in XO sauce, soy braised tofu skin (so good I paid for extra $5 portion), crunchy pickles, stewed fish tofu, marinated egg, and a whole separate box of white rice. This is easily $15-20 in NYC. Same price for the crispy, tender, and juicy Chicken Nuggets (aka Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken) with all the trimmings. The quality of every item in the box was top notch and all very delicious. What many customers ordered that interests me for the next visit was the Salt & Pepper Chicken (椒麻鸡), which was basically a huge piece of pounded chicken thigh, battered like the popcorn chicken, with a mala sauce on top. This is a gem for the people who live locally in the area. Such bang for the buck!
