I only tried their viral Mango Mochi and it absolutely met the hype. The mango was so juicy and sweet. Mochi was delightfully soft and chewy. No issues with service.

Came here to try their mango mochi as it was recommended to us by multiple people and it did not disappoint! I got 2 mango mochis to try. The large pieces of mango were ripe, sweet and juicy which was wrapped in a soft, pillowy, chewy and stretchy mochi. The mochi skin wasn't too thick and not too sweet. The sweetest solely comes from the freshness of the mango and it was delicious. This restaurant is in a food court on the second floor of the building which wasn't very hard to find. It is attached to a parking structure which had plenty of parking spaces. They also offer traditional Taiwanese dishes which I did not try but I highly recommend the mochi and would go back to try out other items on their menu next time I'm in town.

Went here specifically for the mango mochi. It took a minute to actually find the place, but there was a parking garage available. The mochi was absolutely phenomenal. The mochi is the size of a half mango. It's quite big and so succulent and juicy. The mango is so ripe and perfectly suited for the mochi. After quickly finishing mine, I wanted to get another one instantly. Craving one right now!

Hole in the wall type of place. Fun spot to checkout tho! Park in the neighboring lot. Was pretty crowded. Cash only!! Mango mochi was good! Mangoes were so fresh and tasty. Lots of other restaurants in the food court that were fun to look at. Restrooms were a bit rough, but mostly clean.

I found out about the mango mochi from a YouTube video. Apparently, you have to pre-order online because they only sell 30 per day, so I placed an order for three of them for the day I flew into Vancouver, for a 2 PM pick-up. When I arrived, they couldn't find my order and it turns out that I had accidentally placed it for the following Thursday. Luckily, they still had maybe 10-15 left that day and I was still able to pick up my three. Each mochi is $4.99 (+ tax). The label recommends that you fridge it if you don't eat it within 2 hours, and then you should eat it within 24 hours. We ate ours later that evening after it being in the fridge for a few hours, and it was still good. The mango is really sweet. It tasted like they also added condensed milk in there. We saved the third one for the next day, and it was no good. The mochi was hard and crumbly. That being said, I wouldn't recommend buying any extra, and if you can, eat it a few hours after you buy it, for peak freshness. They do keep it in the fridge, so you may want to wait for it to warm up to room temp (we didn't wait, and it was fine). It was a good mochi but I don't know if I'd go out of my way to get it again if I visit Vancouver again - but nice for a one-time experience. FYI, Rice Holic is located in a food court on the second floor. You have to turn into the parking deck and go inside, then upstairs. I was thinking it was just a ground level store front and spent a good five minutes walking around looking for it.

Saw this spot on social media so I wanted to give it a try and it was just okay ish. Located in the upstairs food court so took us a second to find out where it was. We got there around 1pm and it wasn't busy so my order came out fast, I ordered the special promo regular size includes 2 mangos mochi and 2 fresh mango slushies. First initial bite was underwhelming the mochi was not chewy it was rather sticky, mango was sweet tho. The drink was good too I like that I had pieces of real mango whenever I took a sip. Overall I don't think the mango mochi is worth the hype but it was nice to check out, there are many other item on the menu and near by stall for you to check out as well!

Some of the best mango mochi! Takes me right back to Hong Kong. This place went pretty viral and I had it bookmarked as a spot I needed to try on my trip to Vancouver. I haven't found anything similar in the States, and was so excited to finally come! It was a little difficult to find, but is in the mall upstairs with the other food spots. We got 2 mango mochis to share, which came out to 10 CAD. Not a bad price! They were absolutely DELICIOUS. Think of the freshest juiciest mango enveloped in the softest chewiest mochi. The pairing is absolutely immaculate. This is one of the things I could eat so many of since they're just so good and refreshing. Definitely recommend trying the mango mochi! They also serve other food items too, but I'll have to try those another time :)

Two orders of the incredible mango mochi. Yes it's legit.

Ok I'm giving it 4 stars mainly for the mango mochi and mango drinks. Yes they are that good. Each mango mochi is a full mangos worth. The drinks are superb too. Now, the food. It is probably worth only 3 stars - if that. My salt and pepper chicken thighs were alright. Not too bad, but I've had better Taiwanese food. My wife really didn't like her chicken noodles. They seemed like half assed sweet and sour chicken, like some super Americanized Chinese food. Cmon, they can do better. My advice is come here for the mangoes but go elsewhere for food.

I came at 10:50 AM on Saturday. Things were packed. I luckily found a parking spot in the busy parking lot. It was a difficult to find the place, but I walked up the slope to the second level of the parking lot and through the doors, and immediately was in the food court with Rice Holic in front of me. Rice Holic wasn't open yet, but there was still a line forming! I was the third person in line. Once opened, they quickly took our orders. I didn't order ahead but there were plenty of Mochi available. They only take debit or cash (which I was not prepared for) but I quickly got my Mochi and headed out! The Mochi itself is good. It's chunks of mango coated by a soft Mochi. The dish is a bit sticky and juicy so can be messy but I didn't struggle that much. Overall delicious, and would recommend if you're in the area!

Came here for the mango mochi. So delicious. They have a pre-order system available on their website now, in case you don't want to brave the trip to Richmond only to find out that they're all sold out :( There's a limit of 6 mango mochis per person on each day if you pre order on their website, but there shouldn't be a limit for in person buying. They also show how many mango mochis are available for pre order for each day on their website! We pre ordered for a Monday at 1-2 PM (you have to pick the time window for pick up, not sure how lenient they are on it/if they sell your mango mochi if you're late, LOL). I pre ordered 3 (one for my boyfriend, one for me, and one for a friend) but ended up getting another one when we got there to split with my boyfriend because they still had some mango mochi in store by the time we got there! It was so delicious and the natural sweetness and firm yet fleshy texture of the mango went perfectly with the mochi. No other fruit could ever do it. Try to imagine biting into an apple mochi, or an orange mochi... not so appealing now, is it? Plenty of people in line were also there for the mango mochi solely, the hype not dying down proves just how good the quality of the food itself is!

The fried rice is okay! I didn't think it was anything that special honestly lol. The mango mochi was yummy and not too sweet

Let's be real - you came to try the viral mango mochi. Highly recommend coming early since they sell out quickly. The mango was fresh and sweet and the mochi was chewy and delicious. Overall a great dessert or snack. Although the rest of the menu looked delicious, I had already eaten but will try it next time.

This was hands down the BEST mochi I've ever had and I'm so sad I don't live in Vancouver to constantly buy this. We preordered the large mango mochi (although we did see a good amount in stock when we came to pick it up). I never had such a soft and chewy mochi before. In the middle of the mochi, was a whole mango and it was so juicy which made the mochi outside very creamy.

CF Richmond Centre feels like a teenager who hit a growth spurt too early and never quite figured…read moreout what to do afterwards.  Sure, it's got the Apple Store gleaming aspirational techheads, a handful of designer storefronts trying their best to look worldly, and a food court upstairs that--on paper--should be a damn good reason to linger. It's polished, modern, almost smug in its stainless-steel confidence. And yet... you walk through on what should be a busy day, and the silence hangs around your ankles like fog at dawn.  There's an emptiness here, a kind of mall ennui, as if the place is waiting for someone--anyone--to decide what it's supposed to be when it grows up.  Are you going to be high fashion and chic or will you be another bargain mall? Meanwhile, just across the way, McArthurGlen is sucking up all the oxygen like the loud, flashy cousin who shows up at the family reunion with new teeth, discount luxury, and a better Instagram account.  That's the place people actually go--destination shopping, outlet energy, crowds spilling out of every corridor. CF Richmond? It becomes the afterthought, the "well, we're already in the area so maybe we'll swing by" mall. The mall equivalent of a consolation prize - maybe the pageant winner will retire and CF-R can have a chance to reign like a real mall... Maybe not. And then there's the parking - OMG!  Years of construction, half-blocked entrances, the slow-motion nightmare of circling levels like a frustrated shark just hoping for a space to open up - that isn't blocked off!  A mall can survive a lot, but it can't survive making people miserable before they've even stepped inside. With The Bay packing up and leaving, the mall loses not just a store but an anchor - literally the ballast that keeps a mall from drifting into irrelevance. They need a heavyweight, something bold, something that makes you say, yeah, okay, I'll deal with the traffic for that. And they need it fast. CF Richmond isn't bad. It's just adrift. A mall with good bones, some shiny pieces, but no heartbeat.  A place that could be great but is stuck in the purgatory between intention and execution. If it wants to matter again, it'll need more than a facelift - it needs to grow up and choose what it wants to be.  Right now, it's just waiting for someone to save the mall. 2.5 stars - take it or leave it.  The Apple Store isn't enough for me to trek there! Cha Don has only been opened in Henderson Mall for 2 weeks and the line is insane. (Even went back a month later and it's still ridiculous.) Most of the dishes are under $16 but some of the items are not available till after 11:30. That's includes the baked rice dish and spaghetti and the minced pork patty rice series. This will quicken up the long time for those breakfast goers but sucks if you're craving either of those. So the first time I had gone, there were lots of mistakes in orders and the long lines. There was also a sign in front of the cashier stating that they will only take CASH or E-TRANSFER...So be prepared! By the look at more recent reviews, it seems like they're still working out the kinks and the line is still 30-45 minutes. Maybe by this spring they'll figure it out? Long lines at both the Yaohan and Henderson Mall locations speak to how popular it is, and the pricing sits in the affordable range for generous, full-meal plates rather than snack-sized portions. The overall value proposition is strong: you get real-deal HK café flavours without feeling like corners were cut. Dishes come out fast and hot, and the kitchen does not skimp on proteins--whether it's pork chops, chicken, or beef, plates feel properly loaded rather than padded with carbs. Despite the crowds, service is efficient and geared toward turnover, which suits the food court setting and keeps waits manageable once you've actually ordered. It's the kind of place where you grab your tray, sit, and eat rather than linger, but it delivers exactly what you come for. Given the combination of flavour, portion size, and price, Cha Don is an easy recommend for Hong Kong café fans looking for a quick, satisfying meal. The only real downside is the lineup; at peak times the queue can be enough to make you think twice. Still, if the line isn't too long, it's absolutely worth returning for another round.

You do see many elderly Asians here, maybe that's why there is cheaper options? They do occupy the tables at the food court chatting for a long period of time.
