What a cute Japanese cafe. Situated right in the middle of a Toyota dealership. Strange? Not really. The idea really works! The spacious surrounding with vaulted ceilings makes for good dining. At lunch time (11am) bento boxes are available as counter service. The unagi (eel) on rice is my favourite. For Vancouver the unagi is quite good. Sauced just nice. It also comes with a premium tea (3 choices) hot/cold and a cheesecake. Reminiscent for modern Japanese cafes? Try Tsujiri in the Toyota dealership. I will definitely be back.

This Tsujiri is located within the Toyota dealership in the auto circle. Great idea for customers who are waiting as well as anyone who may be in the area. My family and I came to this location since we heard it was new. Parking may be a little hard since it is a car dealership, however it is less busy than the other location and they also have wifi so people can work and grab food. The menu has different options for combos that include a drink and a dessert, or you can get the single dish. They have different foods such as poke bowls, sandwiches, or soba noodles along with slices of cake. We ordered the black sesame latte, salmon poke soba combo, the tonkatsu black combo, and onigirazu. The only thing was that we had to wait for about 20-30 minutes for the food to come out as it seemed like there was only one worker who was doing everything by herself. The poke soba was very fresh and refreshing as there was also a ponzu sauce that was pour on top. The flavors were not too overpowering either and went very well with each other. The tonkatsu ramen was also very delicious and flavorful. The broth was rich and creamy and wasn't too salty, and the noodles were al dente and perfect. The broth was so good I had to drink it all! I would highly recommend getting the poke and tonkatsu ramen. As for the onigiriazu, this was not the best, as the katsu was not crispy and tasted dry. There was not also very much flavor and there was too much rice compared to the filling. For the drinks and desserts, the black sesame matcha latte was strong to have both flavors of nuttiness from the black sesame, and good match flavor, I really enjoyed this drink. We also got the matcha cheesecake as part of the combo menu and this was rich and delicious while not being too sweet either.

First time. Located in a Toyota dealership w/ dedicated eating area. Menu is matcha focused with Matcha infused meals, onigiri type sandwiches, Mochi, Tea, and latte. Service staff is friendly. Lots of attention and care in the food delivery. Food and drinks have a lot of flavor. Portion size is appropriate for one and is surprisingly quite filling. If you are in the area, getting your car service or want a different experience. Check this place out.

My sister won a gift card to Tsujiri so we decided to go for lunch at the small location at the Richmond Automall, as the actual restaurant doesn't open until later in the day. There is some seating at Tsujiri and it was nicely spaced out. The menu was limited so we ordered the tonkotsu black ramen, a tonkotsu red ramen, two orders of the spam & egg sushi sandwich, a matcha frappe and a hojicha hot tea. The hojicha reminded me exactly of what I had in Japan, which was nice and you can taste the quality. The tonkotsus only differed in broth, which was slightly disappointing. Aside from some spring onions and two pieces of cha sui there was only green ramen with broth, which is disappointing. The broth was nice but there was nothing special about the ramen. A bowl didn't fill me up so was glad that both my sister and I also ordered a spam & egg sandwich each plus a drink. The spam and egg sandwich was really nice but it is pricey for two pieces for $7.95 each. The best thing about is this location is honestly the staff. They were incredibly helpful, kind, and friendly. With the limited menu, low quantity of food, and high prices I can't say I would return, which is too bad as the staff and service here is really nice. Am glad I got to try it out but $60 barely filled us up for lunch. I might try the parfait at their larger location though.

Love them. Chewy, not overly sweet and super satisfying matcha flavour. Filling was in the perfect amount of red bean, my favourite. Definitely my go-to for daifuku in the city.

Tsujiri Japanese is one of Grayson and I's favourite spots to grab healthy Japanese food. They never disappoint and we always find new dishes to enjoy there. On our last visit, we tried the ramen and salmon ochazuke. This time tried a tea, cold noodle dish, hot rice bowl and a matcha cake! This salmon poke was unlike any I've had before. Instead of coming with rice, it came with matcha soba noodles. There was also dashi jelly, tomatoes, avocado, salmon, nori and salad greens. I liked how they had dashi jelly on top to add texture, saltiness and umami flavour. The avocado added creaminess and the tomatoes added acidity. My favourite part was the salmon though because the pieces were packed with flavour from being marinaded. Loved this dish and would get it again! Ochazuke is a Japanese rice dish that you pour tea over before consuming. Last visit we tried the salmon version and this time we decided to have try the unagi one. The unagi was cooked well and lightly brushed with a sweet soy-based sauce. The rice was topped with puffed rice, soba sushi roll, umeboshi, woodear mushroom, and green onions. Our favourite part is the dashi tea broth it came with because it added warmth and umami flavour. This dish is one we would never get tired of. This matcha cheesecake reminded us of the one we tried from L'otus cake boutique. It had rich, deep matcha flavour and was lightly sweetened. The cake had a nice fluffy texture but you couldn't really taste the cheese flavour. The crust was perfectly golden brown and crunchy and I liked how it wasn't too thick so you could still taste the matcha flavour.

We waited 20 minutes for the salmon onigirazu but soo worth it. The rice was warm, the flaked salmon plentiful and super flavorful. Each bite was the perfect bite. My only qualm was the nori gets a little tough to eat/break through. Otherwise, great experience! Plenty of parking too since it's in a dealership "road."

I no longer am by this place, so lunch here everyday won't be a tradition, BUT this cheesecake has got me dreaming and let me tell you... it was supposed to only be half for me and half for my boyfriend. A little secret... it was all for me. I love the people working here always making me feel like family and the best part? They're so welcoming and so sweet! I love this branch

first stop for light lunch! we found street parking right in front of the Toyota building and the cafe is obvious once you walk in. service was wonderful, super clean & plenty of seating. we split the salmon onigirirazu, was a perfect snack/light lunch. it does take a while for your order because they make everything fresh and with care. it was so good and delicate. even the takuan tasted fresh!

New location!!! Ive spotted it a few times when it was still undergoing construction inside the Toyota Automall! Their menu has a larger selection than the location near Walmart! I ordered from UberEats to try their popular Onigirazu! (Sushi Sandwiches) I got all three of their Onigirazu options! Spam + Egg : I'm not a huge fan of spam since it can be quite salty, but paired with the ramen egg together it actually tastes really good! this one reminded me of an egg salad sandwich (aside from the spam) which I enjoyed! Veggie : this one was a vegetarian option that comes with veggies, mushroom and fried tofu skin drizzled with a sweet unagi sauce! I wasn't sure if I would like this one, but it actually tasted yummier than I imagined Salmon : my ! Who doesn't like salmon, tamago and wasabi mayo?? this one tastes exactly as you would imagine it to be, and it's amazing! (may be biased since I mayonnaise haha) Although the price point for these are definitely on the higher side (around $8-9), they are definitely tasty! I would say its worth a shot to try!!! more photos @eatswithcece

When I had the chance to go to Vancouver, BC with my boyfriend I wanted to go here! First all, you need a reservation specifically for the high tea portion so we booked that ahead of time. As you go in you are led to an area of Tsujiri where there are just tatami mats and no shoes are allowed on it. We were first sat down with matcha to start with and the music surrounding us was serene and calming. Then came the high tea, compared to your usual high tea, without the Japanese fusion. This came with a lot of interesting treats. In the middle tier, there was your savory two different types of onigiri, savory rice cakes, and elevated salad with a jelly. The salad was incredible and unlike anything I've had before. The onigiris were good as they should be so was the rice cakes. Top tier and bottom tier consisted of the desserts one plate for me and one plate for my boyfriend. My favorite was the mango mochi. It was so creamy and delicious! The other dessert was solid too, I like the little mousse cake. I also liked the add on of a matcha sauce for the fruits. Tsujiri definitely transformed high tea into a Japanese version and it was well put. Both usually make me full. I do wish there was more options on savories you could have before eating the sweets, but this is a slightly different experience.

They used some kind of strawberry sauce and it was very tasty. I asked for no sugar and ice so the drink was perfect because it was only slightly sweetened by the strawberry sauce. 2) four season milk tea with ultimate chew - I read that they're known for their four season and so I had wanted to try. It was pretty good though my personal preference was a stronger tea taste. I found the pearls a little bit harder than usual and thus it was quite chewy. Drinks are always solid at Peanuts and on the more affordable side too given what many other places will charge for bubble tea drinks these days. I honestly wasn't a huge fan of his wheel cake but that's no fault of the shop. Red bean is something I'm generally not crazy about to begin with. I have learned over the years that I can appreciate red bean as a bubble tea drink if it's all blended up. However, it's the chunks of bean that I don't like, and this wheel cake had chunks of bean in it. Might have gone over better with me if it had been filled with a smooth, red bean paste...no chunks of bean in it. That's just personal preference though. If you're someone who enjoys red bean paste and don't mind chunks, then you might enjoy this Taiwanese wheel cake.

The dining space is small but the decoration inside makes you feel like you transported to a different country. Marshmallow Thick Toast 4/5 The toast was about an inch thick, well toasted outside with a pillowy soft center. There's some melted chocolate on the bottom that added to the smores vibe. The marshmallows on top weren't very thick, so it melted to an even layer with perfect browning. The toast was cut into 9 pieces so it can be shared but given the portion I think 1-2 people would be fitting for this dessert. We weren't too hungry, so we shared amongst 4. Jasmine Tea Jelly 4/5 I really liked how fragrant the jelly was and that the jelly was a softer jelly that reminds you of Aiyu jelly. The after taste was a bit bitter but I feel like that tells me it was brewed and made and not just bought to serve. It's served with a splash of half and half I believe. To-Go I wanted to try and compare all the tea flavored jellies they had, Jasmine, Oolong and Earl Grey Tea Jelly. Packaged with small packets of the half and half to add later. The best was OOLONG 5/5- it had a slight roasted tea flavor that was refreshing and comforting at the same time. What you would want from a milk tea. Second best was Jasmine - fragrant and less bitter than the one I had in restaurant, typical jasmine flavor that's lightly floral and not too heavy Earl Grey 3/5 - it was good if you like earl grey like me, but it has an intensely strong fragrance and flavor that might be off-putting if you're not used to the taste. It was by far the strongest floral taste and smell of the three. I'd definitely be back to get these to go, they carry well and you can cross borders with them :)
