Cozy little cafe in Marpole that serves Japanese fusion food but at its heart-it's comfort food and there do it well. My 2nd time here and still enjoying. My friend and I shared the Carbonara Spaghetti with hamburger steak (good amount of pasta and the sauce was light. I would have preferred a little more seasoning but I enjoyed); Special of the Day: Tuna Don which had a good amount of tuna chunks coated in a nutty sauce; and Mango Coconut Parfait. The photos on the menu were helpful in deciding. You order your food/drinks on the order form. Service and was friendly and efficient. I suggest parking on the side street as the small complex's parking spaces is small and tight. Looking forward to my next return will try their curry rice dishes.

Discovered a true hidden gem in Marpole! It is not my first time at Cafe de L'Orangerie but is an absolute must-try if you haven't. This Japanese fusion cafe blew us away with their incredible Japanese-inspired pastas, curries, desserts, and coffees. It's a cozy spot, but packed with deliciousness, happy people, and wonderful staff. This visit, we devoured the Salmon Teriyaki, Hayashi (Orangerie style beef stew) with Chicken Cutlet, Pesto Spaghetti, and Creamy Tomato Spaghetti. And the Shanghai Fog (jasmine tea with white chocolate sauce and milk) was pure bliss! Highly recommend!

Cute hidden gem that have been frequenting for years that is owned and operated by local Japanese. They offer a Japanese fusion of pasta dishes with Japanese curry, hamburger steaks, and assorted desserts and drinks. Super cute place to go with friends, family, or for a date. Took my boyfriend here last week and we ordered the masago pasta, pear tart a la mode, grapefruit cheesecake and a genmaicha tea. The masago pasta was filling with generous amounts of mushroom, asparagus, squid, and masago. My boyfriend really enjoyed the pear tarte and I found the grapefruit cheesecake light, refreshing, and really satisfying. Highly recommend for a cozy Japanese experience with cute polite consistent service.

Homey style cafe. Good comfort food. I enjoyed the Japanese fusion twist. We shared the mentaiko spaghetti with hamburger and the curry pork cutlet. Both were tasty and filling. Service was efficient.

Pasta was yummy although a bit cold but I enjoyed the service, they were very friendly and I would definitely give this place another chance. Parking is a bit hard because it's a small busy lot so I would recommend street parking!

We got seated quickly dispute the store being small but you can expect the seats to be quite tight and small. Nonetheless we enjoyed the space and got the food quickly. We got the Masago pasta and carbonara. The masago pasta may be watery and ingredients are spares but I find it tasty. The carbanara was creamy but felt more like a creamy white sauce pasta than actually tasting the egg. I used to love this place but I'd say it's good for an everyday lunch place - 8/10.

I finally got to visiting this fan favourite restaurant when I had an appointment nearby! I had heard so many good things about the food and was so excited to try it. it was a solo lunch so I didn't get to try too many dishes and could only opt for two entrees before I got called a greedy glutton LOL but I can't wait to go back to explore the rest of the menu! the parking lot is tiny so you may have to peruse the residential streets for parking. the staff are welcoming, kind and so nice. Japanese restaurants are so famous for their flavours and customer service and this is definitely the case here. I ordered the matcha azuki latte and it was very comforting and loaded with azuki. also ordered masago hamburger spaghetti and their special tuna gomae don with miso soup. the spaghetti was so creamy and filling! great flavours and definitely had a nice umami taste. the tuna gomae don was a great lunch dish and also very filling. I happily took the leftovers of both dishes home for dinner and sharing! the inside is cozy with tight spacing.

A lunch meeting for 3. As expected and great food/ service from the owners. Shared a couple of desserts too.

I went here for dinner recently. Tried the masago spaghetti with hamburger steak and the wafu spaghetti. The masago pasta was delicious and loved the juicy hamburger steak. However the wafu spaghetti was quite dry and not that enjoyable. The taste was there but I wish there was some kind sauce that goes with it. The grapefruit cheesecake for dessert was yummy and not too sweet. Service was friendly and efficient. It's a neat Japanese Italian fusion spot but not sure I would crave it often.

Japanese Italian Fusion. Interesting combo. It is also in the same plaza as Bespoke Sushi. We were able to get a dessert here. It was okay. the dango did not have too much flavor. The red bean was okay. The ice cream was okay as well. I still prefer Nana's Green Tea in Bellevue Wa.

Must confirm what a great place this is. We've been back multiple times. This time: - hayashi special is the bomb. Great hayashi stew and you get two pawns with the usual great hamburger steak. - everyone loved the carbonara. Great sauce. - masago has a great cream sauce. They also have great desserts and cheesecake. Didn't have any this time. This is definitely a place to come back to.

Mentaiko spaghetti and added the Hamburg patty

Haven't been here for a while and they are still pretty busy I had the Mentaiko spaghetti and added the Hamburg patty. There were seafood pieces and a light creamy sauce I am not a fan of the Hamburg spices but the patty was pretty tender I actually enjoyed the dessert more, especially the matcha cheese tart The tart shell was buttery and the matcha cream was very smooth Prices were pretty fair

It's a small, cozy, and quaint restaurant/cafe tucked away in a neighborhood strip mall. It gets pretty busy here very fast, but the staff try their best. Food is very homestyle Japanese-Italian food. It's nothing super crazy, we had two of their pastas and my sisters definitely loved it since it's hard to get these flavors where we live. I loved the desserts tho and I felt like the desserts were the best about this place. Their grapefruit cheesecake was very refreshing and their matcha pudding had a lot of matcha flavor which was balanced out by the sweet azuki beans. The Shanghai fog was jasmine tea with white chocolate sauce but we didn't taste too much white chocolate. Their fried octopus was great, and their croquettes were a nice experience but since it was our first time having rice in the croquettes, it was definitely different from the korokke we're used to which are mostly potato-based. If we're ever back in Vancouver, I would definitely love to try their doria dishes and more of their desserts!

I even replied back and nothing. We own and run several business in lower mainland and in United States and this customer service from Unni Pastries is trash. At least you can do is reply back and apologize? For wasting time when I specifically told you it's for family and friends flying into town for a funeral burial. Will never use their business again. I highly suggest Mello. They replied and helped me out last minute. Shame on you! Learn how to run a business and treat customers esp previous customers who were supporting the business and fellow Krn but it's clear the new owner doesn't care about the customer or quality it's all about quantity. Maybe my 39 donuts which I offered to pay extra for time and packaging wasn't large enough but money is money. Especially during this time and economy. You should've at least replied back and even tried asking us to do pickup as the restaurant is down the road. Do better! Go to Mello which isn't too far and they bake fresh daily better pricing and reviews and consistency!

The sagos were cooked just right with the perfect texture and most importantly, it wasn't too sweet. We also ordered their instagram worthy mahjong tiles which is essentially red bean and coconut pudding. It's very cute and definitely instagram worthy. It's not too sweet and I liked that it came with a side of red bean sauce which made it less dry. The money is also made of edible paper but we didn't touch it cuz it felt weird eating it. This place is right on Robson street so a great place to grab a snack, drink, pick me up while shopping. Prices seemed reasonable.
