The service was stellar! Super friendly service for a birthday dinner :) they also provide hot corn tea for those not drinking. Highly recommend the beef tartare and the truffle japchae as these were two of our favorite dishes of the night! The Kalguksu is a cold noodle dish and served with bean sprout soup! All the soups had some sides and condiments. They also have dessert, but i believe the options change as they have no paper copy of the dessert menu. Overall, super delicious spot! We ordered 5 dishes and a dessert for 5 girls and it was definitely enough!

Had a fantastic time at Jeon with 2 other friends and we left feeling full and satisfied with our meal, as the portions were a great to share with. We loved the high ceilings with the fine dining, minimalistic decor with cultural touches woven in. Our server was very kind and attentive, taking time to give us recommendations from the menu and explaining the ingredients that went into each dish and how to pair them with the condiments/side dishes. We never felt forgotten sitting at the front of the restaurant and the tables were spaced out very well, so as not to feel cramped and we could speak normally across the table. We ordered the 1. Yuk-Hwae (Beef Tartare) - One of my fave tartares as of late! Not icy and well seasoned. Accompanied by fried crispy seaweed. 2. Assorted Jeon (5 varieties of 2 each) - Amazing for indecisive people like myself. I love the addition of the potato pavé and the different styles of pancakes, all done well with enough to share. 3. Ganjang Sae-Woo Bap - (Shrimp Rice Bowl) Great choice for those who already like ganjang gejang (raw crab) and are looking for a new thing to try. 4. Gomtang - Wonderfully flavored slices of pork and the soup paired well with the rice. 5. Kalguksu - Great on its own and had great bite with the veggies mixed in. I did think that for the Kalguksu and the Gomtang for example, some condiments were unnecessary as the dishes themselves were already quite good and didn't need additional seasoning. So the extras ended up getting forgotten? But we definitely enjoyed eating the banchan of quail eggs, kimchi and pickled onions. My friends ordered drinks and they were both yummy and quite punchy and strong. My bill without drinks and shared among the three of us, was only $53 before tip, so I was pleased with this and thought it was a fair total for such yummy, quality food. We will definitely be back!!

We ordered a bunch of dishes for 5 people to share. I found that the kong soup (blended soy bean and cream corn) was too nutty and the consistency was too thick for my liking. The kanpachi crudo was the best dish of the night. I really enjoyed the slightly acidic sauce that came with it. The kimchi spring roll was ok, nothing special. The crispy Ga-Ji spicy sweet eggplant was quite tasty and not too spicy. The stuffed squid was alright, but wasn't really my thing. I wasn't a fan of the texture. The kimchi arancini was nice and cheesey. I loved the mushroom sauce that it was served in. I could have drank as if it was soup. The truffle jap chae was good. The truffle wasn't too strong, but was a nice complimentary flavor. The assorted jeon was probaly one of the least liked dish. I had high expectations. The dish didn't really have distinctive flavors. The woodae galbi was pretty bomb. It was so tender and buttery. I felt that the meat itself could have used a bit more seasoning, but when mixed in with the salad and radish that came with the dish, it was the perfect combination of flavors. It was my second favorite dish of the night. The deep fried chicken was too battery for me, but the chicken itself was tender. We got the opera cake made with white chocolate coconut, mango, yuzu, crunch for dessert. I normally am not a fan of opera cake, but this one was quite lovely. They have a large drink menu with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The customer service was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. I'd rate this restaurant a 4.5 stars.

We ordered a set with gimbap, tteokbokki, and noodles. The gimbap was generously stuffed with colorful vegetables and rice, wrapped tightly in seaweed and sliced nicely, fresh, clean flavors, and perfect for sharing. The tteokbokki had that classic sweet-and-spicy sauce, with chewy rice cakes that really hit the spot (comfort food at its best). The noodles were light but surprisingly satisfying, served warm and simply topped, a great balance alongside the richer, spicy dish. Everything came out neatly on a tray, which made it feel casual and fun, like a cozy quick meal you'd come back to often. Overall, Nomnom Seoul is a great spot for an easy, comforting bite with friends. Simple Korean favorites done well, with good portions and a relaxed vibe. I'd happily return again

I walked quite a bit from downtown Robson and arrived, but there were quite a few customers inside the store. The most popular online Tteokbokki is sweet and salty, with an addictive taste. Kimbab was quite voluminous and I could only eat half of it. The cold noodles were no soup and had a lot of vegetables in the them. There are many other things I want to try, so I definitely want to come back here.

They answered all my questions and offered recommendations, and were very welcoming. Nam San seems to be very popular for their Soondae (blood sausage). However, I've never really tried Soondae before and I was feeling nauseous on the day of my visit--so I opted for something more mild and less "adventurous" instead. I will definitely be back to try their Soondae next time though. Daeji Gukbap 10/10 This boiled bowl of stew was exactly what my upset tummy needed. The creamy broth warmed me right up and soothed my stomach so well. It was the only thing I was able to keep down in two days. There was also a generous amount of tender and flavourful pork inside. This bowl of stew honestly reminded me so much of the one we tried in Busan. Definitely recommend it to anyone who likes stews. There was no gaminess at all, and yet the soup was still so full of flavour. Absolutely delicious. So this place now operates under the name Nam San but is still an absolute gem. One of the three…read moreremaining stalls in the Robson Public Market food court, Nam San specializes in pork offal and homemade Korean blood sausage (soondae), incorporated into a variety of dishes. I always order the same thing, a mixed pork offal and soondae soup. You can choose the spiciness level when you order but they also offer red pepper flakes and fish sauce on the side to add to taste. It comes in small and large, with a side of pickled radish, roasted seaweed, and white rice. Even with the small, you get a lot of meat in the hot stone bowl and it is so comforting. The offal is super tender but the star here is definitely the soondae. Pork blood and vermicelli with spices are encased in an intestine casing, making for a unique springy texture. It's even more tasty when you dip into their homemade fish sauce and the stew warms you to the bone. I love supporting small mom and pop shops, and with how tucked away this place is on the busy Robson strip, I'll definitely make an effort to frequent them time and time again. Please pay them a visit and try their unique offerings out!
