Lots of different crepes and also soft serve ice cream Yuzu soft serve Service was nice, it does take some time for them to make the crepes ! Ambiance is a small shop / grocery store

I been to this place 2 years ago and really like them so I decided to go back here when I'm in the area. Unfortunately, the things I got this time was somewhat disappointing. I got the Japanese corn dog which like a corn dog with takoyaki sauces and flavoring. The corn dog was too mushy and the corn dog itself was low quality. The kaniko ice cream was also lack luster. It was soft serve with some black sugar syrup which made it very sweet. Overall, I would maybe try their crepes next time or just stick to the parfait

stopped by Bon Crepe for a post-dinner dessert! it's a cute japanese shop that has a sidewalk pop up stand - very similar to the crepe shops in japan. // matcha vanilla soft serve $3.99 // it tasted like a pretty typical vanilla soft serve and the matcha tasted more like green tea (think of green tea kit kat or mochi vs. that strong matcha flavor), can't beat the price of a $3.99 soft serve though. note: the standard cone is free, sugar cone and plastic cup are extra $0.25. they take card too

Inside the cute little Japanese grocery store on Robson, you can indule in delicious soft serve and other Japanese treats (I spotted $3.99 for Takoyaki - uh yum! - but we spotted it too late sadly). Anyways, we ordered a kinako soft serve ($4.99) which was vanilla soft serve with this soy bean flour on top. It actually has a coffee caramelly taste and was really delicious and unique! I am glad I tried it, though matcha soft serve also caught my eye and I am a sucker for green tea ice cream anything. Regardless, if you're out for a stroll on Robson, and craving something sweet, grab a soft serve, crepe or ice cream here or check out one of their savoury options like takoyaki, corndogs (American or Japanese), or savoury crepes!

We've always seen a huge line outside Bon Crepe during our walks on Robson street. Their menu us placed right outside and has pictures of the crepes which makes it easier to decide what to order. On a particularly hot day in Vancouver I was craving a soft-serve icecream. Lo and behold my search result showed that they sell soft serves too! As expected there were a couple ahead of me and it was closing time. When it was my turn the staff put up the closed sign and that was disappointing! She then realized and took my order. Got the matcha-vanilla. They asked everyone to wait inside the store for our orders. The soft-serve looked exquisite. And tasted good too! Heat wave conquered!

I've always loved stopping by Konbiniya for groceries and snacks and sometimes, I would also get an ice cream or crêpe to go :) Food: 5/5 I've included three different ice creams that I've tried. Yuzu soft serve ・ This ice cream is only available during summertime. Yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit and it's sour, light, and VERY refreshing. It makes sense that you have to wait until summer for it. It's absolutely perfect on a hot day. I recommend getting it in a different cone or a cup though because the waffle cone has a sweetness that doesn't really suit the yuzu flavor well. Vanilla ice cream with strawberry whip crêpe ・ You can't go wrong with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. The combination is so good! The crêpe itself is very soft and light. It did stick to the paper a bit, so be careful while you eat it. Regardless of that, I would still eat it anytime. Kinako soft serve ・ SO DELICIOUS. Kinako is roasted soybean powder and it usually goes on mochi and other wagashi, but I love the way it tastes with the creamy vanilla ice cream. There's also swirls of kuromitsu (black sugar syrup) which is always perfect with nutty kinako. If it was easy to find kuromitsu, I would be eating this at home. It's that good. Staff: 5/5 They're always so nice and welcoming, and seem to care a lot about making a perfect treat for their customers. Atmosphere: 3.5/5 They have two spots to order: outside (ice cream) and inside (savory food). Inside, there's a bench where you can eat and wait for your food. It's quite loud since it's also a store, but I don't mind. There aren't tables outside, but the ice cream and crêpes are street food, so you can take it on the go or stand outside. I like this though. It's nice to walk down Robson and window shop with ice cream or a snack. Price: 5/5 The yuzu soft serve is $3.80, the crêpe is $7.49, and the kinako soft serve is $4.99. The prices are quite low for what you're getting. The crêpe might seem like a lot, but it's big and has lots of fillings. You could even share it with another person. There's a lot of ice cream spots on Robson so Bon Crepe might get overlooked, but please give it a chance. They have an extensive menu and everything looks good. I really want to try their matcha parfait in the future.

Our stop for ice cream cones at this little window was surprisingly satisfying. We had the Yuzu, the Macha, and vanilla in various configurations, with both plain and waffles cones. Tasty and reasonable!

$2 crepes, ayeee. My boyfriend and I dropped by because we saw this place last time we came to visit but didn't go due to being unsure of what it was exactly. Fast forward a year later, and we gave it a go and I wasn't disappointed. The line was long, but didn't take long to go through. The crepe my boyfriend originally wanted was not available so he opted for a whip cream and strawberries crepe while I opted for a whip cream, bananas, and chocolate drizzle crepe. For $2 the crepes are smaller than your average size, but the flavor was there.

While exploring Vancouver I stumbled across the cutest Japanese mini mart that had cute and exotic snacks. Along with it was this crepe stand that made me feel like I was in Japan. This slice of Japanese crepe goodness made me weak to my knees. You are able to watch them make the crepe in front of you as they serve you with pleasure. I would come back and try another flavor as they had a lot of crepe variety and other desserts. It was such hard time choosing just one so I asked the worker for any recommendations!

The matcha parfait was very pretty and very instagram worthy, but I think I might have been happier with just a plain soft serve cone. There was too much filler, and the cakes were on the dry side. The best part was the matcha ice cream itself --that part was very yummy! Maybe I have to try it again on a hot summer day. I decided to try it for the first time on a cold winter day in February, what was I thinking.. lol !

Located inside Koboniya Japanese Centre, Bon Crepe has a mix of crepes and soft serve available to order. I've been here a few times and my go to items are their matcha parfait/matcha ice cream. It was up to their general soft serve standards - creamy and delicious! For the kinako in particular I did wish there was a bit more soybean powder but otherwise was quite delicious! An old favourite in the downtown area for soft serve ice cream.

Matcha soft serve ($2.95 including tax). So yummy

I've been here twice or three times already and their Matcha soft serve is just unforgettable in my personal opinion. I came all the way to downtown on Wednesday just for Matcha ice cream($3.80). I usually don't like finishing the cone, but the owner filled icecream all the way to the bottom, and I had to eat the bottom part of the cone. Also it's not too sweet for my liking,YES! FYI, Canadian cash or debit ONLY!

If you are a matcha lover, then this place is definitely worth checking out! Although the parfaits and many other items from the menu looked amazing, I settled for the simple Matcha Soft Serve. NO REGRETS! It was amazing... Many other places that serve anything matcha is a tad bit too sweet. Matcha is supposed to be slightly bitter and that is exactly what I got! The matcha flavoring was rich and strong, and the soft serve had a great smooth and creamy consistency. The gentleman that helped me out was nice and the soft serve came out quick. However, there was a line and it moved at a slow place, but that's alright! It was worth the wait. I thought the set up was cute. You can go inside into the store where they sell many Japanese snacks and or you can order from the booth outside!

The dark chocolate brought a mild cocoa note, while the cereal added a crunchy, slightly nostalgic contrast at the base. That said, I expected the vanilla to have more of a rich, milky flavor. This is not the place for plain vanilla; it's the combinations (think honeycomb, matcha, or seasonal specials) that bring the experience to life. Based on the shop's concept, Soft Peaks is known for using local organic milk and keeping sweetness restrained, which tracks with that lighter, less sugary profile.
