Stopped by for weekday brunch and by 11:15 it was pretty packed. There are a few tables and bar seating. It may be difficult to accommodate large groups, but if you come early, it should be okay. We were seated by the bar and we had a full view of the kitchen. It was nice to watch them make the crepes and prepare all the food. They have a few appetizers, savoury and sweet crepes, and quite a large cider selection. We both tried different ciders. I liked the scenic road razz. It was light and fruity. Tartare de boeuf- wagyu tartare, served with a beet puree and buckwheat crackers. It was tasty. I really liked the crunch on the buckwheat crackers. The tartare was seasoned well. Jambon blanc- savoury crepe with Parisian ham, cider onion jam, gruyere, and egg. Simple, but quality ingredients. It may look small, but it was quite filling. I enjoyed the buckwheat crepes as it added more flavour to the crepes. I do wish there was a bit more onions in this one. Overall, was very savoury and delicious. Saucisse- beef and pork sausage, bacon, red pepper relish, gruyere, and mustard aioli. This one was really filling. The sausage was quite large, flavourful, and not dry at all. The red pepper relish added some sweetness and brightness to the dish. The crepe went well with the mustard. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. It was nice to go to somewhere for brunch that was more unique than just the usual items for brunch. Service was great, especially since it was so busy. They were still attentive and quick. Prices are pretty good, considering portion and quality of ingredients. I'd recommend checking this place out. I know I'll be back to try their sweet crepes. read more

Way back in the day (96 to be specific) on my way to Africa, I did a stopover in London. I had managed to get a free pass on the brand new Eurostar train! I left London Waterloo International station (Eurostar later switched to St Pancras) at 6am while it was pitch dark & returned at night again in darkness! I mention this because I was not able to see the French country side (a real bummer) once Eurostar came out from under the Chunnel. So don't be a dumbo like me when next you're going on the Eurostar - travel during daylight hours! It was a one day pass so I ran around Paris like a wild crazy chicken being chased by a knife! Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, beautiful cafés & streets et cetera the sights & sounds of Paris one never forgets! Trying to get directions in English from Frenchmen ... oh the joy! Not enough time at all in Paris - 8 hours flew by in a flash! One highlight was my introduction to crêpes via a food cart, just near the Eiffel Tower. Those buckwheat crêpes were damn expensive & as I walked away chomping down on them, I got to less than a 100 metres away before I turned around & went back for more - I kid you not!!! Bye bye to my remaining Francs (cash) but I was happy as can be my belly full! Best ever expensive crêpes!!! They had that certain - 'je ne sais quoi' taste! Paris crepes are the best!!! I ended up leaving Paris with nothing to show for ... no Gucci or LV t-shirt ... absolutely ziltch in clothing or souvenirs! Insert sad face here! But you guessed it, I've never ever forgotten those crêpes! Which leads me to the brand new - Ça Marche Crêperie @ Vancouver House. This is a concept crêperie & cider house by the owner of the magnifique - Au Comptoir (please see my review) on 4th Ave. Located on the north west side of the Granville Bridge at the base of Vancouver House = if you can see Vancouver House you'll find this Crêperie! This area is booming with lots of shiny newness - see the amazing architecture of Vancouver House where Ça Marche Crêperie is located just off the short Continental St. This is a small operation with limited seating, so perhaps settle for a 'grab N go' kinda vibe. I'm 100% here for the crêpes! The cider to be honest not so much. Never been a huge fan. The taste just hasn't won me over ... yet! However, that said I'm curious to try the conceptual concoctions that will be offered here! Hey maybe there's hope for me & I just might become a huge lover of cider yet!?! To the owners of this crêperie I plead & beg you not to hire little Johnny from the local high school to be in the kitchen making my crêpes!!! I swear if you go down this road you'll lose my support as my sense of taste will be shattered by crappie garbage crêpes! Look at what was once a local popular Crêperie downtown - they started hiring anyone with a heart beat! The crêpes got so bad even Aunt Jemima refused to pour her syrup on them!!! I can tell you it wasn't the pandemic that ruined it!!! I absolutely just love crêpes & I'm excited about this new crêperie! You can have crêpes with pretty much anything you want to add to them - so go ahead & experiment until you find your hearts content! Highly recommend getting a savoury buckwheat crêpe as a 'main dish' & then try a classic sweet crêpe for dessert - if you can handle it. My French coworker requested Ca Marche for her going away lunch. We came as a group of three on a weekday afternoon and was seated right away and our server was friendly and helpful (the creperie menu is only available on Wednesday to Sunday from 10:30am - 3:30pm) We wanted to try both sweet and savoury so we got a few items to share. We got a couple of the buckwheat galettes, the Saucisse (sausage and beef) and campignon (mushrooms) paired with some cider. For dessert, we go the beurre sucre crepe and the framboise. Since I usually like my meat dishes, I was surprised that I preferred the Champignon over the Saucisse. It was light and savoury and the flavours went nicely together. The saucisse was a tad salty for me. As for the crepes, they both went down easy. The beurre sucre is a classic. It's simple and tasty. Overall, food was great, but serving size might not be enough for a heavy eater like myself. Ca Marche is a cool spot, nice place for a light brunch and boozy brunch. Super authentic crepe spot underneath the Granville street bridge. It's right by the chandelier and has a super cute exterior. The place is somewhat small but very nicely designed. The staff are very friendly and seem to all speak French. While we were there, we overheard many French conversations which made the place feel very authentic. They have lots of crepe options and it all sounded delicious. We ended up ordering a duck one and the day's special. And of course, a cider because apparently that's what you're supposed to pair with these crepes. They serve the cider in a bowl which was also super cool. We ordered the jambon blanc and the saumon fume. The crepes were really thin and crispy. I preferred the jambon blanc to the saumon fume as I found the saumon fume a bit too salty. I found the menu a little too small with not a lot of options but I understand that they are trying to focus on things that they do well. I like the location of the restaurant as it's close the water. The location isn't very big but they have an extra patio outside. The atmosphere was really laid back. Went for lunch with co-workers and ordered the CHOUX FLEUR buckwheat crepe which was delicious. It was flavored with cumin-spiced cauliflower & gruyère purée, almond & egg. It had great crunch (and reminded me of an Indian Dosa). Our group either had this option or the smoked salmon crepe. I foresee this becoming a favorite lunch spot. It's small but they will have outdoor seating once the weather permits. The only critique was we all smelled of the food once we were back in the office, as it's an open kitchen and we sat at the bar as seats are limited. I am dreaming about going back to try their sweet crepes and order the savory one. I plan to bring my friends and family when they visit. I've been meaning to dine here since it opened, and recently some foodie neighbors of mine said they had the best, most authentic crepes here (and they've travelled extensively in France! So I figured, they would know the real deal!). That sealed it, I had to try this place out. On a recent Friday my kid and I came here right when they opened at 11am. They have a small outdoor patio, right beside the underside of the Burrard Bridge, across from Vancouver House and beside the outdoor swinging chandelier. Note: this restaurant is small, so be sure to come early if you don't want to wait for a table. They don't take reservations and this place is super popular. It totally filled up within 15 minutes of our arrival. The host and our servers were lovely. I liked the "uniform" of t-shirts with horizontal navy and white stripes. Very Parisienne, and sharp. Started off with an apple mimosa which was crisp and had a nice bite. My kid had some sort of strong coffee in a tiny espresso cup. She was flying high lol; she loved it. We shared an eggplant crepe to start. It was good but, admittedly, not what I am used to. Growing up in Montreal, my mom and I often went to La Crepe Bretonne which had authentic Breton crepes. This eggplant crepe was nothing like any crepe I had before. The eggplant was puréed and was accompanied by a pickled slaw of sorts. And the crepe itself was brown as it was made with buckwheat, which gave it a nutty flavor and heartier texture, despite its thinness. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, just different from what I know a crepe to be. I appreciated the thinness of the crepe and how it was folded, like an envelope. Legit. Then we shared the apple-caramel crepe and, I gotta say, THIS crepe is TO DIE FOR. I wish I had taken a photo as it was a work of art to look at, too. This crepe was everything you want a dessert crepe to be: sweet but not cloyingly so, thin, beautiful, delicious in every way, with a scoop of some of the best ice cream we'd ever had (not sure what it was but it was DIVINE). Seriously this was one of the best crepes I've ever had, and I have had many in Montreal and in France. And beautiful, too. (Darn it, I didn't take a photo!). My least favorite one was Champignon, mostly because I don't eat goat cheese, so it was least enjoyable for me. Cannot recommend this place enough!! The crepes here were extremely delicious and you cannot go wrong with any choice!! Our server recommended we get one savory and one sweet crepe and all of them were so good. This was the perfect amount of food and left us satisfied. The restaurant has very limited seating and is catered to smaller parties so keep that in mind, most of the tables only fit 2 guests besides sitting at the bar. I visited Ça Marche twice before writing this review and have tried a few of the buckwheat (savory) crepes as well as the classic sweet crepes. The champignon is a must order for mushroom lovers! Jambon Blanc and Saumon Fumé were delicious as well! The buckwheat crepes were made crispy on the top and did not feel too filling. I recommend getting your own buckwheat crepe and sharing a sweet crepe to end with someone else. You can't go wrong with just a classic butter and sugar sweet crepe and there are also a variety of classic sweet crepe toppings to choose from! My gf had to work early on a Sunday morning. She got off work at 1030 am and I picked her and her co worker up for a quick breakfast. We ended up at Ca Marche....we've been here before and I like this place. The food is tasty, service is excellent and its imitate. I ended up ordering an Americano and the Saucisse (sausage). It was very good! A good combination of pork and beef. Very rich and tasty! The richness of the sausage was juxtaposed against the relative bland of the buckwheat crepe. The effect was divine! Their other restaurant, Au Comptoir, is amazing that's why I thought this one will be the same. The strawberry crêpe was okay but nothing special. The strawberries weren't fresh and the sauce gave the crêpes a weird texture. The French fries were very salty,my son didn't want them and he kept drinking water after the first taste. I was so disappointed with the service provided at this restaurant. They forgot our drinks and I needed to remind them that we ordered them, we got them after our food. Glad we tried out this creperie! Nice selection of ciders, I had a small glass of the scenic road raspberry cider which was delicious. I had the ham and cheese croissant which was good but I found a little salty. I felt that the overall restaurant could have been a little cleaner - in particular the bathrooms weren't super clean, and the water bottle dropped off at our seats had a lot of fingerprints on it. Not cheap and very small, but cute, cozy and warm space. It's very French, from the decor to the staff. There's a lot of attention to detail with the Breton striped shirts that are the staff uniforms to the Parisian prints on the washroom walls and placemats. There is bar seating as well as a few tables. I appreciate that they chose to create two tiny, but functional washrooms rather than one large one. The menu has a large selection of crepes that will satisfy more picky eaters with classics like ham and cheese and crepe suzette. More unusal options include a duck confit crepe. The crepes are all buckwheat and square-shaped, differentiating them from the other crepes you can find in Vancouver. There's a fairly large drink menu with ciders, imported and local, by the bottle, as well as a cocktail list that utilizes cider. Beautiful little creperie tucked under & into the concrete complex that is Vancouver House. These are your classic French-style crepes with a delicate texture and flavour. The Suzette was a stand-out with the brûlée custard (like having two desserts in one!) & was perfectly complimented by the bourbon cocktail I had (one of the best a I've ever tasted!). Good service from friendly staff. This space is worth the hype and is going to be busy! Be ready to wait at least 30 minutes for a table, easily eaten up by a stroll to the seawall and it was worth it for us! Good for small groups and dates. read more

We came for the crepes and stayed for the Moules Frites and Steak! Ca Marche is transitioning it's menu to a traditional French Bistro menu and we couldn't be happier. I had the Moules Meuniere which were outstanding; the frites were the best we've had for a very long time. Hubby had the Steak Frites, also delicious, which was accompanied by a lightly dressed salad, very French. Dessert was an incredible chocolate mousse portioned out at the table, a nice personal touch. This is a favourite restaurant in our rotation and we will be frequent visitors in future. read more

The first authentic crêpes I've found in Vancouver. They use different crêpes for savoury (with buckwheat) and sweet (without) options. Lots of interesting cider options for pairing. Would definitely recommend! read more
