Gosh what's to be said about gelato that I haven't already gushed about previously ... right Yelpies!?! Bella Gelateria continues on with their expansion plans, opening up here on fabulous Robson St. This location offers more seating & has a patio - look out summer! You can go to one of several dozens of restaurants on Robson St then come here for dessert! I've spent lots of cash on BG gelato at their Davie & Denman location. See my review!!! I love gelato cause my belly finds it to be easy & smooth inside! Dare I say it's healthier than regular grocery store ice-cream in the buckets!?! So many flavours to choose from - you'll want to sample at least 3 flavours before making a choice. If you don't know already, now you know - it's pricey but totally worth it! Have I mentioned that Bella Gelateria has won several gelato awards!? Well I have now!

Quick service. Good selection of flavors. Non traditional flavors and very creative. Try it! Clean inside and actual coffee selections.

Happy to share that we encountered really friendly service at this location. The gelato was very good as was the pizza we ordered. They were out of two types of pizza, which was disappointing but cest la vie. I needed one gelato packed for carry out and they had a solution for me. The eating area could have used a wipe down but the two young people serving gelato were quite busy with the crowd that came at the same time we were there.

Ice cream lovers Paradise. Thats it. We stopped by late sunday and ordered their famous Akbar Mashti (rosewater, saffron & pistachio) one of their best sellers and also the Amaretto gelatos. The Akbar Mashti was amazing and lived up to its signature gelato hype. Delicious creamy gelato and perfect blend of flavors in every bite. The Amaretto gelato tasted great too. We did try a few more flavors here and it all tasted divine. I wish I could come back here again during my short stay but I will make sure to stop by everytime I am in Vancouver. Highly recommend Bella Gelateria. You will not be disappointed.

Whiskey Chestnut Bailey's Irish Cream Italian Amarena Akbar Mashti Toasted Pecan Salted Caramel Stacciatella The new Chestnut one was a surprise, however not much whiskey taste. I hate every cherry flavour but I like Italian Amarena ironically(it has cherry jam in it). I also enjoy the Akbar Mashti which is their classic flavour but my friends can't accept the floral aroma

The price for one flavor is $7, and the price for two flavors is $9. It's the same amount of gelato. I don't really like that pricing, but I would rather pay extra then commit to one flavor. We got their most popular flavor, Akbar Mashti, and Espresso w/ Chocolate Bark. I didn't think I would like the Akbar Mashti, but it was great. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a sweet treat.

Black sesame & hazelnut in charcoal cone

Was craving gelato and heard about this chain. There was a newer location nearby where we ate for dinner. I chose the black sesame and hazelnut in a charcoal cone. I loved the black sesame! The hazelnut was okay, but for sure the texture was also superb. Felt like I was in Italy for a bit. You can also sign up for points and discounts. There was a jar where I even picked out a discount. Definitely a place to try at least once.

Our most favorite spot for gelato in BC. Glad that they now have more locations. No parking lot. Street parking. Samples are allowed or provided. Yuzu is one of my favorite flavor. kulfi/Pistachio is also great.

i enjoyed a double scoop of black sesame and london fog on a charcoal cone. both flavours were great, and hit the spot on a hot summer day. they offer samples, max three, seats available indoors, with ac and they also have a self serve water station. there was only one person working behind the counter.

Very tatsty gelato place, this gelato was very creamy and better than a normal ice cream place. We spend $11 and got 2 scoops, it is well worth it and enough for 2 people to share. We got the chocolate with brownie and it was delicious, the caramel one was too strong. They offer 3 samples per person so take advantage of it!

White coffee
Alan Z.

Dropped by after dinner and got the White Coffee seasonal flavor. It was probably one of the best gelato flavors that I've had. I really liked how sweet it was and how it still had a bitter aftertaste of coffee. The gelato is also really creamy so it's really easy to take your time and savor it. Would definitely get this flavor again if I stopped by.

The folks working there were kind and professional. They looked like wickedly good witches as they added natural ingredients to their metal cauldrons, and then added the liquid nitrogen, creating a rapidly rising fog. So, really, you are getting ice cream and a show! The concoctions emerged as super smooth, not too sweet, distinct fresh flavorful ice cream. It is a small shop with limited seating, so not likely to be a comfie sit down experience for you given how popular the place is, but it is easy food to take to go and a very nice area for a stroll. So, that's the scoop! ;)

We tried the ice cream sandwich, the creme brulee cup, and the s'mores bar. I would say everything was good, but probably not something we would get again. After a while it just got a little too sweet and the portion was a little big so we didn't finish most of it. The next time I go if I ever go again I would just get one thing and share it because a bite or two is probably all you need to satisfy your sweet craving.

The ice cream here is awesome and the scoops were very generous. Only thing is...I wasn't a fan of how crowded and noisy it was inside. Had so much trouble hearing when people were talking to me. I much prefer the North Vancouver location of Earnest Ice Cream which is more spacious and less crowded. I can hear myself think more at the North Vancouver location. Parking was challenging. There's free parking on the street but only if you're lucky enough to snag a spot. It was very busy when I first arrived. I circled several times before I finally got lucky and a car pulled out of its spot on Fraser St. As soon as I saw that a car was leaving I parked in the same spot as soon as I possibly could.

I ordered the Original Peak, with a twist of vanilla and dark chocolate with cereal at the bottom. The first thing that stood out was the airy and fluffy texture, almost lighter than traditional soft serve. The dark chocolate brought a mild cocoa note, while the cereal added a crunchy, slightly nostalgic contrast at the base. That said, I expected the vanilla to have more of a rich, milky flavor. This is not the place for plain vanilla; it's the combinations (think honeycomb, matcha, or seasonal specials) that bring the experience to life. Based on the shop's concept, Soft Peaks is known for using local organic milk and keeping sweetness restrained, which tracks with that lighter, less sugary profile. Adding something like cereal or crunchy toppings makes a big difference. If you're a vanilla purist looking for a strong dairy note, this might feel a bit subtle.

When getting the matcha ice cream, I suggest getting straight matcha instead of the twist with vanilla because the vanilla washes out the matcha; it comes through better on its own. The sundaes are fun and a good, more affordable alternative to the similar parfaits at high end matcha cafes. I tried the tuna egg salad crepe and thought it was actually really good! The crepe was fresh and tender, there was a healthy amount of filling, and the tuna salad was actually mostly tuna with just enough mayo to hold it together which is how I prefer it. Again, the service is just through a window - you actually order at an electronic kiosk and the only interaction with a person is when your order is ready. There are two small tables outside if you want to eat there. During the busy summer season, it's very difficult to actually secure one of these tables, but there's other seating on the pedestrian streets just a few blocks away on Robson.
