Delicious flavors all around but don't skip the akbar mashti, it was so unique but a perfect balance of flavors and not too much rose water, perfection!

Very good, very smooth gelato at tourist inflated prices. After a big dinner, we took a walk in downtown Vancouver to get ice cream, pretty much a tradition for a lot of families I suppose. We followed our daughter around until we came into this small shop, with a good selection of ice cream. It was later in the night, but all the ice creams looked fresh and delicious. As usual, always more cost effective to get a two scooper and share so got the dark chocolate sorbet and dulce de leche ($8.50). Both were excellent, extremely creamy and the mix of dark chocolate with creamy caramel was really good.

Omg loved it!! Perfect place for a late night sweet treat. They have a big variety of flavors, there is something for everyone. Staff is super friendly and lets you sample flavors before deciding on one. It's a nice place to hang out inside if you'd like. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

This place has soooo many flavors to choose from. I tried Ferraro Rocher and Tiramisu flavors and I liked Ferraro. I also got blood orange, passion fruit and strawberry margarita. The blood orange was better than the other two. Overall all flavors I tried were good. The price was average about $8.5 CAD for one scoop and a waffle cone.

Here for vacation. Amazing and flavorful gelato! Two blocks away from my hotel. Clean store and friendly staff. Will be back before we leave.

Favorite gelato in Vancouver! So many flavors to choose from that you're guaranteed to find one you like. I don't think they allowed samples but everything is delicious. The matcha has a strong bitter flavor that we appreciated (I hate weak matcha) and the passion fruit burst with tartness to cleanse the palette. Staff was super friendly and gave nice sized portions.

Absolutely delicious gelato downtown. So many options here to choose from that the options can be overwhelming! I sampled a couple and then settled on a two scoop. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Line moves quickly.

Great service, lots of favorites... I love the blood orange and the Ferrero Rocher!!! The only thing is the cup was too small for 2 scoops.. I feel like the gelato gonna fall off that made me nervous..

This is a small, independent gelato shop by the Central Library. Open late (11pm) which is convenient for late night cravings. Food was very good - (4.5/5): They are flexible with samples and I tried out 7-8 of them. Most were very tasty and made it hard to choose. They have about 40 different types ranging from the old standards to some really creative ones. Had the Ferraro Rocher which was really good, but also would recommend the Cookies and Cream, Salted Caramel and Strawberry Cheesecake too! Service was good - servers were very friendly, happy to provide samples and attentive - (4.5/5) Atmosphere - not much to it... it's a small but bright kiosk type place with one table only - (3.5/5) Overall... (4.5/5) and definite repeat to try out more flavours. Bit pricey for the size but i'm willing to spend the extra buck or so for the quality.

    Better than Cherry Garcia!

We had a scoop of the cherry ice cream and they should call it Cherrier Garcia because it's one level up from the Ben n Jerry's flavor. Very cherry!

we dropped by gelato express around 7:30 pm on a wednesday. there were two servers behind the counter, and the place was pretty quiet - just the way we like it. with 42 flavours to choose from, we were spoiled for choice. after a few taste tests, i settled on a scoop of black sesame and key lime pie, all piled onto a charcoal cone. the black sesame brought a subtle, slightly gritty texture, and the key lime pie was a zesty, creamy treat with tiny bits of key lime rinds and pie crust. it was a chill night with a sweet twist.

Visited Gelato Express on a Wednesday at about 6:30pm. There was only one other group in front of me so I didn't have to wait long. They have a ton of flavors all clearly displayed. I ordered a single scoop of the Moose Tracks (vanilla ice cream with fudge and peanut butter candy chunks). I feel like the price is a tiny bit high ($5.50ish) for the size but I didn't really mind, it tasted really good. There were a ton of good flavors so I'd definitely go back.

Me getting Gelato from Ann one of the best servers at Gelato Express

Gelato Express has the best Gelato and Sorbet in Vancouver, hands down. If you are ever on Robson st you have to try it.

The folks working there were kind and professional. They looked like wickedly good witches as they added natural ingredients to their metal cauldrons, and then added the liquid nitrogen, creating a rapidly rising fog. So, really, you are getting ice cream and a show! The concoctions emerged as super smooth, not too sweet, distinct fresh flavorful ice cream. It is a small shop with limited seating, so not likely to be a comfie sit down experience for you given how popular the place is, but it is easy food to take to go and a very nice area for a stroll. So, that's the scoop! ;)

We tried the ice cream sandwich, the creme brulee cup, and the s'mores bar. I would say everything was good, but probably not something we would get again. After a while it just got a little too sweet and the portion was a little big so we didn't finish most of it. The next time I go if I ever go again I would just get one thing and share it because a bite or two is probably all you need to satisfy your sweet craving.

Located in a random spot? Check. Only one staff member working? Check. We've been a couple times and I have yet to see it busy. A few people pop in but no one ever lingers. Most likely because there's no seating. There's also a sign on the counter stating you can only sample 2 flavours during peak hours. There's usually 10 to 12 flavours to choose from; always something unique and interesting. They also have sundaes, ice cream sandwiches and doughnuts on the menu. - Mango raspberry swirl and London fog ($7.00 double) - waffle cone is included and it was better than expected. The ice cream itself tastes a bit denser but still has a creamy satisfying texture. The London fog was fantastic! The mango raspberry was more mango than raspberry but also quite good. - London fog ($5.00 single) - came back on a Monday and they only had four flavours that day. We went with the London fog; just as good as the last time. - Dark chocolate and black sesame with honey ($7.00 double) - the dark chocolate tasted like a fudgesicle but better. Not too sweet and hefty; it was so heavy it almost fell off the cone! The black sesame was delicious. Not quite like the ones we had in Japan but tasty and flavourful. I'll be back again and again!
