Found this little place by accident. It's opened for the FIFA cup events and you can find it by going up the stairs once you cross the street after Chronic Tacos. It was very quiet, but there are tables and chairs where you can find a quiet spot, not far from a neat Vancouver soccer sign. I ordered the small passionfruit mango sorbetto ($7) in a cup, extra dollar for a waffle cone. It was soooo good. Tasted fresh, bright and the perfect cold treat for a hot day. They had several other flavours like dulce, hazelnut and blue vanilla which is vanilla colored with blue sweet pea flowers. I revisited uno gelato to try their limited item for kool festival. Mocha me crazy Chocolate milkshake creating mocha basemwith rich espresso, Avalon milk, swirled with golden caramel sauce, topped with whipping cream caramel crumbled Lotus biscoff. It was chocolate milkshake more than mocha, shake itself was lighter than I thought. Crumbled Lotus biscoff blends with shake was highlight. It was great texture! Very delicious drink. I like their ice cream shake. Hopefully they will make permanent menu more in future. read more

I'm all for gelato. It's a perfect summer time warm day dessert. When I found out Uno Gelato was in this area, I was quite happy. Finally got around to visiting. Cute little spot facing the water. Wonderful service and lots of flavours to choose from. I love that they label each flavour to let people know of if a flavour is GF, vegan or contains nuts which is really helpful for those with those dietary restrictions. I tried the lemon basil sorbet which is vegan. I am not normally a fan of that flavour profile but I decided to be risky and try it. I actually really enjoyed this combination from Uno Gelato. Always nice to have an ice cream during lunch break! This location is quite near my work place so very convenient. You can sit on the benches facing Canada Place to enjoy the sun and views of the north shore. The flavors they offer are quite unique and tasty. I don't know if they change often but I got to have the black sesame which I have not seen at their location at Olympic village. Great ice cream and fast service. Highly recommended. read more

Review #4 for 2026 Went here randomly while exploring the area on our trip to Vancouver. It is a very small shop. There are a couple seats outside, but no seating inside. It is a very much order your food and eat somewhere else type of place. My little one loves ice cream so I decided to get him some gelato to keep him occupied on our evening bus tour of downtown Vancouver. Oh the gelato was delicious!!! The price was also pretty fair too! I just got a 1 scoop the first time because I was not sure how much my little one would like it, but he devoured it! I got the coconut flavor and I wished I got myself one too! You could taste the coconut flavor very well and it was rich and just the right amount of sweet. It came with a cookie wafer on top which was also delicious. The coffee I got however, was lacking... definitely not the best coffee I have had. Come here for the gelato and go to a coffee shop for coffee. Would I come back? I would, and we did come back here again during our Vancouver trip! I only got gelato the 2nd time around though! I forgot which flavors I tried the second time around, and while they were good, they did not stand out as much as the coconut flavor to me. They have a variety of cones to choose from. The gelato are a bit on the sweeter side for me and opt for the less sweet option, Italian Espresso. And I found the Italian Espresso had a bit stronger flavour then the others. The Black Sesame is another good choice as well! Uno Gelato's Akbar Mashti is truly exceptional. The pistachio pieces perfectly complements the unique taste of saffron and rosewater, and is a rare flavor that you probably won't see anywhere else. (in Vancouver anyway) Their vegan midnight chocolate is also outstanding and I honestly couldn't even tell that it was dairy free when I first tried it! It's made of extremely dark chocolate without being too bitter and it has a very clean after taste. My friends really enjoyed their fruit flavours such as cherry and mango, but I prefer creamier ones such as black sesame and mint chocolate chip. I've been eagerly waiting for this location to open and have delicious ice cream. The day has finally arrived and Uno Gelato is open for business. I think it's been worth the wait. It's a bit of a smaller store and as a result there are fewer flavours to choose from. I think it's a good choice as the few I tasted and were all delicious and had me struggling to choose. Their matcha was absolutely amazing. The torrone was something different and neat. The chocolates all were unique but stayed chocolatey. Ended with a the classic salted caramel. Was sweet and tasty to the last lick. My only complaint was the chocolate cone. It tasted more burnt than chocolate as a whole. I like having something different and hope that is fixed in the future. Uno Gelato was a great dessert stop for my first time visiting. I hope to make many more stops in future and to try many new flavours as well. read more

Pretty impressive for gelato right at Canada Place. Came here with my parents 2 weekends ago. Prices were great compared to other gelato shops around the city. $6 for a large scoop in a waffle cone, not bad! I got Raspberry Sorbetto, which was pretty good. Ever since we heard about the owner's new gelato place, this has been on my "to try" list for ages! Well the time was right and off we went to give this place a try. Parking is plenty since the shop is located around the side of the Vancouver Convention Center, although it is a pay lot (like everything downtown!) Finding this location was easy though since the classic gelato cart was sitting outside of their doors. Walking in we were greeted promptly by the friendly staff, and were presented with all of the flavours right in front of us in all its glory! My girlfriend chose the Deliziosa Fragola on a regular waffle cone and I got the Salted Caramel and White Coffee on a chocolate cone. As you can see from my photo I couldn't wait to dig into my gelato andboy I was not disappointed at all! The flavours were extremely rich and the texture was very creamy and smooth. The cones were very crispy and didn't get soggy as we got down to the last bite. Overall Uno Gelato met and exceeded our expectations since we already knew what the owner was capable of making. If you are looking for a lovely stroll along the waterfront or just a nice gelato place this should be at the top of your list! read more

If you're looking for rich flavours, this is the gelato shop for you! I had the salted caramel, and it was super caramely. I wouldn't be able to eat more than a scoop, but it was definitely satisfying. For people looking for something on the lighter side, they do have more fruity flavours. Strawberry lime, in particular, looked intriguing. Location is in a touristy area so expect to fight the crowds here, especially during cruise ship season. read more

I think this is probably just a marketing store front and nobody actually works here. Walked there at 5 PM and the door was locked. There were no signs or details about being back, hours, etc. Called the Kitslano location and the person who answered the phone said to come to Kitslano instead and that nobody was working at Canada Place today. I wished they informed us via twitter or their website before we went. Such a shame. Giving 3 stars because I like the fact that they use local ingredients and it seems that they have interesting flavours, but am disappointed by the inaccurate hours of operations, and lack of communication of whether they were closed for the day (minus a star for each). read more

The gelato flavours: the Earl Grey and the Akbar Mashti were good but the Gingerbread and the Pumpkin Cheesecake were too sweet. I told the male server clearly that I wanted double scoops in a cup with two of the flavours above and he told me that they had a cup in a way that sounded like that I did not know that they had cups. Then he said, "Good Choice" when he was scooping the gelato out of the freezer for me and looking at the counter while I was facing outside. It was weird that he made that comment when I was away from him (instead of making that comment while I was still standing in front of him). Then he just put the cup of the gelato onto the freezer for me without saying anything. It was kind of awkward. Moreover, they put the stamp cards in front of the till but they did not offer those to customers. Do they want us to use the stamp cards or not? In addition, they should fix the door; it was hard to open and it made an extremely loud noise when it closed. It can be disturbing if you are sitting inside. The gelato is three stars but the service is two stars. read more

The family enjoyed the gelato but the attitude of the young lady serving is the impression that stuck with us unfortunately. Very rude service.
