We enjoyed a good breakfast of savory crepes while sitting on the sidewalk on a sunny morning in the city. Despite having been to Vancouver a thousand times it was actually our first experience with crepe fast food but we were both extremely satisfied and would definitely eat here again. The staff were friendly and helpful since we didn't know how to eat them by hand, haha. Le Club was so good, and lucky for me I got to help eating that one too. What a delightful little crêperie we stumbled upon in Vancouver! The owners are so pleasant, and the creeps are light, fluffy, and ingredients are fresh. Despite generous portions, the crepe remained fluffy, not soggy like some can get. Served fresh, we had a savory Sunrise with egg, cheese, bacon, spinach, avocado - to die for - it was surprisingly light & delicious. We also had the sweet crepe with cinnamon pear, caramel, & almonds. What a treat. We enjoyed a London Fog tea latte, & a chai latte that was the best I've had since visiting India. I would encourage anyone to pop in next time you're in the area. read more

I've been to this cafe crepe many times and I've always had a good experience! My favourite dishes are their crepes obviously (any of them are good), their french fries and milkshakes. The fries here are SO crispy and thin shoestring shape like Mcdonalds but 10x better. However, the milkshakes here are AMAZING. I don't know how but their strawberry milkshake is the best I've ever had, it is just perfectly creamy and strawberry flavour. Their Nutella one is also out of this world. I'm telling you it is so HARD to find decent crepes in Vancouver. I've been here a couple of times because my son loves crepes and this location is convenient since it's a pit stop while shopping on Granville. We usually just order one crepe (the strawberry with nutella) and eat it at the cafe. The ingredients are never fresh. The strawberries are all mushy and they go crazy with the nutella (despite telling them to go easy with the nutella). The service is sooo slow. The cafe is never clean. I swear they never seem to sweep the floor or wipe the tables. I wish they prepare the crepes with fresh strawberries. Their strawberries were already chopped up and stored in a container. It's a shame to have them prepare a fresh crepe but with old ingredients. And one more thing: it would help if they wore gloves. read more

Terrible food and service. Waited 20min for my "French toast" crepe. When my order was ready, the staff yelled out my number twice, rolled her eyes and took it into the back. I went up to the counter to get my food and had to wait another 5 to get my crepe. It came out cold and it did not taste good at all. I couldn't eat any more after four bites. There was so much cinnamon in it that I could not taste anything else. There was supposedly an egg in there but I didn't see it. There was only 2 small slices of Brie in it. What a disappointment for $12. Also spent $4 on a bag of tea. To make matters worse, there isn't a lot of seating here, but there are a lot of kids with no food just hanging out. The crepes are good, but there needs to be better management or service at this location. Or at the very least, someone needs to either update the advertised hours of this place, or ensure their staff doesn't close down the shop early. Three times now we arrived with over half an hour to spare before the listed closing time and the staff say the store is closed. I understand the concept of last call, but when your advertised closing hours for an EXPRESS location is 10pm, I don't understand why staff are refusing to serve customers by 9:25pm. We were also told on various occasions that they could only "offer takeout now" at 9:30pm, that their coffee machine was "down", and that their "dining area is unavailable". How convenient is it that everything is unavailable or broken? Cafe Crepe has stood the test of time. I've been eating at this franchise since my junior high days back in Toronto and it still remains a classic. I've been here with large groups of friends, picked up a to-go crepe for a quick bite, grabbed a snack in between a shopping spree, and even dined here for some dates too. I love standing outside the window of the cafe watching them make the crepes, taking in the sweet smell of the fresh batter and fruits and daydreaming about the ginormous tubs of Nutella here (do they still have those?). I would say overall that the dessert crepes are better than the savoury crepes, but you really can't go wrong with either. The fillings here are always generous. The seating is a bit dingy and dark but the food quality has stood the test of time. Overall won't be the best meal of your life but great as a small bite to get you to your next adventure. I don't anticipate coming back here. My friend and I were hungry on a Sunday morning, and finally found a place we could eat quickly! Cafe Crepe. I've been to another one of these on Granville, which was a full service restaurant, so I was slightly confused at first. We ordered at the counter and found seating in the back of the restaurant. The space at the counter to order is TIGHT - if there's at all a line and someone is trying to leave through the front entrance, it's a squeeze and uncomfortable. My friend and I both ordered the vegetarian savory crepe, and I also ordered a chai latte. When I started drinking my chai, it tasted off but I couldn't figure out why. Then I realized it was actually a hot chocolate with nutmeg in it! Weird. Our crepes finally came out, which we were so excited about. One big weird issue they have is the lack of real silverware. They only offer plastic utensils, even for guests dining in, even though they serve your crepe on a nice plate. Using the plastic knife to cut it was actually very difficult and annoying. I enjoyed the crepe for the most part - it was filled with spinach, mushrooms, tomato, and feta. I only wished they had slightly cooked down the spinach instead of stuffing fresh spinach inside, for more flavor, and some sort of sauce inside as well - it was soooooo dry! Eating pieces of just the crepe alone was difficult because it was bland and dry. The feta was salty though, in the best way - so good! Overall, not a dining place that I would encourage my friends to visit, but I think I could understand the appeal. Cafe Crepe is one of those places you can go if you get the munchies while downtown. Parking here is super hard to find, so may I suggest a bus or carpool. The inside here is vintage-themed, but I'm not sure if the "dirtiness" is intentional. Everything feels grungy, including the seats. The walls have vintage French theatre posters, which is actually pretty cool. There's also a nice takeout window (all locations) where you can also watch them make your crepes out of mix. Actually pretty cool, and I'm sure it's not that easy to make a good one either. The waitress was quite helpful, and was able to recommend some items too. Fries - my friend raved about these, but to be honest I felt they were mediocre. Not to say they were bad, but they just weren't anything special. Ham + Swiss cheese crepe - nice gooey cheese. Strangely enough, the crepes are way flatter (and therefore smaller volume-wise) than you may expect. It reminded me of a thin piece of pizza. In other words, I'd be leaving hungry if I didn't have other items. Prosciutto panini - actually my favourite item of the bunch. Also oozing with cheese, but this came thicker. Add me to the list of reviewers giving this place a solid five stars. Yes, it's THAT good. I prefer this location to the other Cafe Crepe site down Robson. Yes, you have to place your order here at the counter and pay, then scout for a table and wait for them to call your number, then you go pick up your own dishes, bring them back to your table, and bus them when you're done. It's kinda like a cafeteria set-up. Oh, and there's only flimsy plastic cutlery, too. So there's that.... BUT..... the crepes are really good here. And they're wrapped up like a burrito - and eaten like a burrito, actually, - so cutlery really isn't needed. (Being from Montreal, I know this is very unconventional, but when in Rome.....). What really makes this a five-star place is the staff. The gal who took our order was amazingly sweet and pleasant. And better yet, the guy running the place (who I assume is the owner or manager) is unbelievably friendly and personable and just the kind of guy you want to have as a friend. Genuine, happy to be there, happy if you're happy. Super guy. Yup, it's the staff here, as much as the great crepes, that makes me want to return. And return I will. Probably tomorrow! read more

The attendants focus on talking to each other rather than serving the customer thus the customer gets and average wait time of 30 mins for a simple crepe. Prices are reasonable $14-$15 for a pitcher. I'm not a huge beer drinker, but I do join my buddies here for a drink only during the summer when we can sit outside. It does get a bit crowded b/c peepz like to come to peep watch - there is an awful lot of foot traffic at this location. The seating area on the sidewalk is rather small. I've had the Nutella crepe which is delicious but I am more of a savoury person so I'm more likely to go for the ham and swiss option. This is also a great place for some cheap drinks before moving on for the night. It's unfortunate that we don't have happy hours in Canada but a great after work snack for me is the plate of fries with a Cosmo or two. My completely unbiased review of this Cafe Crepe location (Mr. B works there) I have been here a few times over the years and have never been disappointed with the food. It's generally consistent and delicious. Last weekend after drinking a bit too much, I staggered down Granville street and wandered up to the window and told Mr B that I was hungry, and he must make me something to eat right this minute! I went inside, sat down and looked at a menu for about 10 minutes before ultimately deciding on the chicken burger. I thought the waitress asked "Is that everything?" but apparently she actually asked if I wanted everything, as in on the burger so it ended up arriving with bacon and a bunch of other extra things I don't really care for. Still tasty! The fries were cooked perfectly too. Mr. B was nice and bought my meal for me but I would have gladly purchased it myself, it was that good! Hahaha. There was a time when there was one. Now I can't count how many they are. Chains always get a bad rap. This one falls victim to it just as much as an Earls, Cactus Club or a Milestones for example. I like this place. Whether it is a dessert or savoury crepe, I am satisfied. You get a filling meal for what you pay for. It's fun to walk and stroll around downtown with this food but dining is always an option. An interesting side note. I have friends who hang out here for the cheap drinks before hitting the bar. We ordered strawberry and banana crepe with Nutella. Strawberries were not fresh at all and they were all mushy. Nutella was inside which made entire crepe weird. They make crepe separately and then add toppings so that makes taste somewhat weird. Also one thing which I hated was that they don't use hand gloves at all. They repeatedly touch your food and person making meat based crepe will make your vegetarian crepe without washing hands and using gloves. Not going back again ! read more
