We came for the mango mochi and we were not disappointed! I didn't know what to expect with the viral mango mochi but it was AMAZING and we even returned back in line after eating some and bought more. Mango is fresh and mochi is nice and soft. Highly recommend! Rice bowls looked delicious but we were still full from lunch. Can't wait to return to try other food items. read more

We are visiting from Hawaii and heard about this place from a relative. Easy to find, street parking available. We came to try the mochi mango which was really good. Not too sweet and very juicy. We pre-ordered in case they ran out. read more

Rice Holic - Mango mochi - Taiwanese Near Me - Richmond, British Columbia

i called rice holic at around 2:50 pm on friday in an attempt to secure a couple of mango mochis, ('cause i showed up the week before, and they were sold out) and confirmed they have only the mini mango mochis left. i reserved six of these babies and was told they close at 5:00 pm and to get there before 4:30 pm, no problem, or so i thought. what is supposed to be a 22 minute drive, turned out to be well over an hour long ordeal with rush hour and construction. we showed up a few minutes before 4:30 pm, and i dropped one of the precious mango mochi containers on the ground! two mini mango mochis were on the parking lot pavement and i had to grope under the car to pick up my babies. there goes the five second and ten second rule. i have a newfound appreciation for the making of mochi. don't believe all the social media hype that says it's super easy...it's not. if you could only see how my mango mochi turned out, it's laughable. read more

this review is JUST for the mango mochi. -its impossible to preorder, just do walk-in, go at 11am/12pm, you're guaranteed to get them. -ask them for a knife, it'll be a wooden knife, but it will cut the mango mochi PERFECTLY (for the gram) -don't get too many, they say not to put it in the fridge cus the mochi will harden, so getting more means more you gotta stuff down before it goes bad. -it's really busy and loud since it's a food court, so if you want to sit at the court, make sure you go with another person to grab a seat to sit while you line up so y'all can enjoy it after purchase. i waited 10-15 min in a decent line and the mochi is worth the wait for me. this is the regular size and it's the size of my hand (6in/15cm). to me, this mochi reminds me of/tastes like mango sticky rice. and it's pretty filling so go get it once and try it. the mango is ripe and soft, & the mochi was perfectly not too sweet, thinly wrapped around. read more

WOW, just wow. My friends and I found this place after it went viral on TikTok. The mochi is so soft, and the mango is so juicy and sweet that it doesn't even seem like a real mango lol! I recommend coming here at opening because they seem to sell out FAST. Highly recommend as a sweet treat! read more

Their Mango mochi is absolutely delightful! This soft, chewy dessert combines the rich, creamy taste of mango with the smooth texture of mochi, creating a perfect balance of sweetness and freshness. Every bite is like a burst of tropical sunshine--juicy mango filling wrapped in a tender, slightly sticky mochi shell. It's perfect as a snack or dessert. I love it ! If you like mango, you must try this treat! read more

I remember seeing these mango mochi go viral a while back and knowing I was going to Vancouver I HAD to try it for myself to see if it's worth the hype. Safe to say, this is as amazing as it seems. The mochi is a perfect soft and chewy texture, not too thick either. And the mango was the perfect sweetness and perfectly ripe. I got 2 thinking I could save one for later but I finished both of them on the spot! Such a light dessert, I could've easily ordered another 2. I assumed they'd be busy so I ordered in advance but it wasn't too busy when I got there. It's located in an upstairs food court with many other food spots. I'd still recommend ordering in advance just to secure the goods. Highly recommend checking this out if you're a mochi lover. read more

They accept debit & cash. * Regular Size Mango Mochi (Rice Holic) - $5.25/each ~ We got two and these are just huge, I have to admit it tasted a lot better than the last time I got it, the mango is even sweeter, and juicier. The mochi was good consistency, and not to mention they are huge and the size of your palm! They only have it Wednesday-Sundays, and they have lots pre-ordered but some for walk in, luckily we got them! They definitely redeemed themselves from last time! 7/10. (They even have mini mochi if you want smaller ones). read more

I've been wanting to try this for the longest time since I've been seeing it on my feed so much! Unfortunately I do think that it is overhyped... The mango was too sticky and flavour-less? It was just really soft and not chewy. The mango itself was super sweet and they are quite large. But at that point, I might as well just buy a regular mango and eat it. read more

Yummy Mango Mochi! I was so excited to try this popular treat after it went viral on TikTok. I pre-reserved 4 mango mochis through their website about a week in advance then picked it up during my selected pick up time and paid with cash. The limit for the pre-reserved mango Mochi is currently 6. I like that they allow you to pre-reserve the mochi as it is the most popular item they sell and they often sell out. I thought the mango was ripe but it could have been a little sweeter. The mochi was fresh but a very standard mochi and not that special. Parking was a bit difficult. We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday and the parking lot for this building is small. My tip is to park in one of the two 15 minutes loading parking spots on the first level of the lot if you're just picking up your order. Overall I would get it again if I'm in the area and have a craving for mango. They also had a great menu with hot food and drinks which looked really delicious that I would like to next time! read more

Ate it a day later, but it still tasted good. It honestly is what you would imagine mango wrapped in mochi would taste like. I wish there was a little more oomph factor in the pairing. Mochi was mochi, but the mango was one of the sweetest most succulent mangos I've had!! How do they find mangos that tasty?? It's also quite amazing how they can can basically fit half a mango in here!! read more

We lined up early in hopes of getting some Mango Mochi. We scored!! OMG super delicious. Unfortunately not something I'd do often because of the price tag on them (two pieces for $10.50). Each piece is one side of a fresh mango then wrapped in a soft and chewy mochi. I can't wait for next mango season to have this again!! read more

the mochi has an amazing chewy and soft texture and mangoes are in season, definitely would recommend!

This was the first place that I visited during my time in Vancouver for my trip that served Mochis and I was impressed! I visited this place at lunchtime to get a dessert and it was pretty quiet in the surrounding areas around the place. Also, the service was good when ordering and asking questions. Furthermore, the staff was very nice. I ordered the Mango Mochi which had a mochi with wonderful chewiness and the perfect sweetness level. Also, the mango exploded with juiciness in my mouth when I ate it. Overall, this was a really good experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat a good Mochi! read more

I appreciate that there is a hype which is what brought me here. I went right at opening and there was already a line, so I would suggest going there early if you want to go. 2 pieces were $10, not too bad considering how big they are. I do have tonsay though, as much as they were hyped, it was quite mediocre. The size was great, the mango was tangy but still ripe but the mochi, I wish had a little more flavor or tiny sweetness and a little less powder/starch on thr outside. But it's a decent bang for your buck and great way to support small business. read more

Mango mochi is average at best .TIk tok/instagrap trap. Doesnt live up to the hype, wouldn't reccomend

A new shop that took over something that I don't remember (which is probably why it went out of business in the first place...) Our favorite was the seafood bowl which came out to be just under $15, and the portion is actually quite big - and it's not just rice but lots of actual seafood (frankly kind of pleasantly surprised!) There were at least 3~4 of each shrimps, clams, scallops, etc. The sauce was a mix of crab juice and perhaps pumpkin puree... not sure what I ate but it was good :) Quite a healthy and hearty meal, with good friendly service too. I hope this shop sticks around, go check it out! p.s. Like most shops in this food court, they take CASH or DEBIT only. p.p.s. the seafood bowl is dairy-free. read more

The hype of seeing this shop all over social media, I finally got the chance to try them out! I contacted them beforehand to pre-order and communication was quite seamless. I ordered 2 mango mochis and 2 bento boxes. Prices for the bentos are reasonable though I found the price for the mango mochi a little steep ($4.99). I was quite surprised at the generous portion for the bento boxes. Though the seafood stewed rice was not what I expected. I was expecting a risotto-like dish, but it was just a rice dish loaded with sauce. There were scallops, clams and shrimps covered in a salty rod sauce. It was tasty but a tad heavy. The other bento box I ordered was the Taiwanese pork chop fried rice. Again, portion was generous and I wasn't able to finish the dish. I found the pork chop a tad under flavoured, but this balanced well with the flavourful fried rice. I personally found the fried rice a touch salty, but it was my favourite component of the two bentos. The mango mochi was delicious! The mango was sweet and the mochi skin was thin and chewy. My only complaint is the price. I felt like I was basically eating a mango so might as well eat a mango on its own? I likely won't re-order this for $4.99 a piece. Overall, I enjoyed the meal though I won't say I was blown away. On the plus side, they accept debit under $40 and credit over $40 even though a lot of food court places only accept cash! read more

The Mango Mochi is super fresh but definitely an IG trap. It didn't taste anything special, it was just incredible to see and hold half a mango in very thin house made mochi. Somewhat hard to find because of the weird parking structure and a small section of the food court. Quick service and rude peer customers. read more

Rice Holic is located on the second floor of a food court in a business building. Came here on a Sunday to try their popular mochi mango. I arrived at 10:30am since they open at 11:00 and was the first one there. I would say at around 10:45am a line starts forming because they sell whatever is available for the day in regards to the mango mochi. You can also pre-order them through their Instagram page. The mango mochi: it was okay. Nothing exceptional. I would say the mochi was very thick and a bit much for my liking. *they only take debit or cash! read more

We came to try the viral mango mochi. They were sold out of their large mango mochi so we got the mini ones. They were not mini lol. They were still 2 whole halves of the mango. They were so good we ordered another 2 and the lady behind me ordered the rest. It was only 12 pm and they sold out already. Tried the Taiwanese chicken bowls too and they were super yummy too. read more

Only here for the mango mochi. Line was not long at all like most people have experienced. Got a few orders of the mini mochi (mango is the only flavor). Each mini comes with two. It's best to devour right away or keep it cold and chill in the freezer for a good 10-15 min only. Do not freeze. Then you can devour it but savor every single bite. The mango is perfectly sweet and juicy, the mochi texture is perfect. Better if you try them for yourself since it's a bit difficult to describe lol. The ratio of mochi to mango is perfect, not too much mochi (like how there can be too much dough or bread to filling-it's not like that at all). You may want to do an online order if you want the regular sized mochi. Come early enough to grab yours. It's worth a try, even if you're not fond of mango. This place is located upstairs in the food court area. The "mall" itself might be a bit inconspicuous. But it was not that difficult to find. Seating in the food court area is ample but may not be easy to find a table while it is busy and if you have a group over 4 people. It is also very noisy with lots of chatter going on. read more

Mango mochi is excellent! Parking at location is a bit of a challenge but well worth it.

Pretty good, well packed. Food takes around 5-10 minutes so it's good if you're in a rush. I got the spicy beef stewed rice and the sesame oil beef fried rice. Both bowls come with two small slices of pumpkin, two pieces of broccoli, two small pieces of mushroom and half a cherry tomato. The beef for both are the same and it's thin cut with a good ratio of fat and lean meat. The spicy beef stewed rice came with a lot of sauce and rice (I had 70% of rice left over) and a decent amount of beef. Spice level wise it's around medium but I would not recommend if you're weak with spicy foods. Instead I would recommend the beef fried rice which was tasty and flavourful. I enjoyed both dishes so it's up to personal preference. read more

We tried their Yan Shu Ji meal. The chicken is crispy, but it is definitely lack of the "Yan Shu" flavor, and it feels like just eating regular fry chicken. The meal is just bad because it's too dry. Rice is dry, veggies are dry, and fry chicken is dry. The egg is ok, but doesn't have any flavor, maybe they forgot to put salt on it? Cashier's attitude is very "random". Something I see the lady being nice to her customer, other time she doesn't even greet or say thank you to them. read more
