Richmond Centre is one of the nicer malls in town with Uniqlo, Muji, and any store to satiate your shopping wishes. It's pretty clean and modern inside. The upstairs food court is standard mall food, like A&W, NY Fries, etc. Definitely a nice place to spend an afternoon. read more

What I wrote close to a legal-adult age gap ago (#1) still largely holds true, with a few notable exceptions: construction never truly finished as the place is perpetually under it; it no longer resembles what it was for the last decade and is more updated and spacious than ever. In fact, the multi year transformation that its currently undergoing makes it less of a traditional mall and more of a mini city that has spawned into a mixed-use commercial district. Their use of natural lighting all throughout the space makes it an ideal place for a photo in any corner. In addition to the space, many stores have stepped in with a good number that are high-end to appease all of the new money coming into the city of Richmond. It has become a leisurely destination for families and teenagers as folks roam the mall from corner to corner. One of the most significant transformations has been their food court, which has been dubbed the DiningTERRACE and features a number of food and drink spots. The only downside has been the mediocrity of most spots, which has plenty of room for improvement. Parking is also a mess, especially during the weekend. Folks are constantly competing for space and camping out has become a necessity during their busiest times. As many skyscrapers have been built nearby and it's proximity to the metro rail, this place will only serve to be busier as time goes on. ____________ (#1) 18 years has flown by. read more

New renovations and a super clean food court area gets this mall 5 stars. They just completed a major expansion amd revamped most of the mall with brighter colors and lighting. There are still areas where you can definitely see the old cracked tile flooring. read more

cf richmond centre really does have it all, uniqlo, zara, h&m, the apple store, muji, the lego store, sephora, basically all the staples you actually want in one place and then some. it makes running errands or doing a proper shopping trip super easy, especially if you're the "one stop and done" type. a little context that makes it even more impressive: it's one of the major shopping hubs in richmond and sits right by the canada line's richmond-brighouse station, so getting there by transit is effortless. the mall has been around since the 1980s, but it's now in the middle of a major, multi phase redevelopment that's gradually transforming the whole area into more of a modern, mixed use 'downtown' core with residential towers, expanded retail, and new public space. if it feels like it's evolving, that's because it literally is. inside, instead of a typical boxy layout, the mall follows more of a soft loop. the corridors gently curve and wrap around in an irregular oval shape rather than forming a square or straight line. it feels organic, almost like it grew over time and that flow makes it surprisingly easy to cover ground without feeling like you're walking a marathon. you naturally pass storefront after storefront as the space opens into wider halls and seating areas, so it never feels like a long, narrow hallway. it's bright, open, and comfortable enough to spend a few hours in, whether you're on a mission or just wandering with a coffee. the food court, the dining terrace is solid too. good variety, lots of seating, and generally well maintained. you've got quick bites, plenty of asian eats (as you'd expect in richmond), and the usual comfort options. it's not trying to be a gourmet destination, though there's a few restaurants, and reliable fuel for round two of retail therapy. there have also been some fun activations lately. during an olympic themed event, they set up a mini bobsled experience and even a curling activity where people could try their hand at sliding stones. it gave the space a playful, community energy that made it feel like more than just a place to shop. of course, it hasn't all been additions. the loss of the bay marked the end of an era and left a noticeable gap for longtime shoppers. it was one of those anchor stores that felt tied to the mall's identity, so its closure definitely shifted the atmosphere. the main downside right now is the construction. some entrances are blocked and navigation can take a minute to figure out. the signage helps, but you might accidentally do an extra lap thanks to that curved layout. still, parking is free, as it should be and in metro vancouver, that alone feels like a small win. overall, it's still one of the better malls in the area, and it's clearly in transition. if this is the "during construction" version, the finished product should be pretty exciting. read more

CF Richmond Centre feels like a teenager who hit a growth spurt too early and never quite figured out what to do afterwards.  Sure, it's got the Apple Store gleaming aspirational techheads, a handful of designer storefronts trying their best to look worldly, and a food court upstairs that--on paper--should be a damn good reason to linger. It's polished, modern, almost smug in its stainless-steel confidence. And yet... you walk through on what should be a busy day, and the silence hangs around your ankles like fog at dawn.  There's an emptiness here, a kind of mall ennui, as if the place is waiting for someone--anyone--to decide what it's supposed to be when it grows up.  Are you going to be high fashion and chic or will you be another bargain mall? Meanwhile, just across the way, McArthurGlen is sucking up all the oxygen like the loud, flashy cousin who shows up at the family reunion with new teeth, discount luxury, and a better Instagram account.  That's the place people actually go--destination shopping, outlet energy, crowds spilling out of every corridor. CF Richmond? It becomes the afterthought, the "well, we're already in the area so maybe we'll swing by" mall. The mall equivalent of a consolation prize - maybe the pageant winner will retire and CF-R can have a chance to reign like a real mall... Maybe not. And then there's the parking - OMG!  Years of construction, half-blocked entrances, the slow-motion nightmare of circling levels like a frustrated shark just hoping for a space to open up - that isn't blocked off!  A mall can survive a lot, but it can't survive making people miserable before they've even stepped inside. With The Bay packing up and leaving, the mall loses not just a store but an anchor - literally the ballast that keeps a mall from drifting into irrelevance. They need a heavyweight, something bold, something that makes you say, yeah, okay, I'll deal with the traffic for that. And they need it fast. CF Richmond isn't bad. It's just adrift. A mall with good bones, some shiny pieces, but no heartbeat.  A place that could be great but is stuck in the purgatory between intention and execution. If it wants to matter again, it'll need more than a facelift - it needs to grow up and choose what it wants to be.  Right now, it's just waiting for someone to save the mall. 2.5 stars - take it or leave it.  The Apple Store isn't enough for me to trek there! Meh... read more

This shopping mall is huge! And I mean HUGE! I think it is similar in size to CF Yorkmills. There are so many big-brand stores there. The mall was open on or before 2010. There are wide aisles, and they are clean. The main atrium has a long, tall, arched glass ceiling. There are kiosks where you can locate a store and it gives you directions on a map. All stores are on the ground level. Hudsons Bay is the largest store, and it is at the north end. There is a food court on the second level. Since Richmond has a large percentage of Hong Kong Chinese ancestry, the mall has a few stores oriented to Hong Kong goods, especially in jewelry. We were there on a Sat aft, and 90% of the shoppers were Chinese! There are so many Tesla EV charging stations at the north-end outdoor parking lot. There are plans to build many condo buildings around the mall. There is free WiFi, like all CF shopping malls. This one uses WiFi 6, so it is faster than the usual WiFi 5. So use this WiFi instead of any WiFi the local store offers. There is a huge parking lot, both covered and uncovered. They have over 2000 spots, including 750 in the upper deck. It is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female/family washrooms, and they are wheelchair accessible. Review 2023-166 read more

Lot of shops and restaurants for everyone. Parking lot oís free but watch out the spaces are tight

Use to come here, but this was years ago before we moved away unfortunetly. This mall has changed a lot from when we use to use it either to dine in the food court now located above the original location, or use it as a shortcutt to get from home to the Library down on the south end of the property near City hall. The expantion now features more parking, with the first level of the underground parking fully opperational with elevators that lead up to the plaza and the newly opened sport check. The rest of the parkade should folow soon, as they are making efferts to move many of the parking underground, leaving the serfice for vegetation and gardons and podiums for the condoes above and around the site. We use to walk here and it use to feel very cramed in, but I bet the expantion has made it more airy and welcomming. I would definetly come back if we ever plan on moving back in to the neighborhood or live in metro Vancouver again! read more

Big indoor mall In Richmond with decent surface parking lot, the Richmond Centre is anchored by Hudson's Bay department store. It closes at 7 on Saturdays. Has a large bank of Tesla superchargers in their parking lot, and there were quite a few EV's waiting for a spot. read more

Largest Shopping Mall in the City of Richmond, located in the centre of the City now being called "downtown Richmond", I still remember the humble beginnings of this mall and the transformation throughout the years! Yes, I came to Canada in 1981 and Richmond was the first place our family settled. There are plenty of choices for shoppers and with Hudson Bay as one of the anchor tenant, you will never be bored if you are just here for window shopping, Apple is also located here and I usually would use this location as my "go-to" Apple Store, staffs are generally helpful and offer any help you are looking for! I also love their newly renovated Food Court - "The Dining Terrace" with more selection and ethic representation, you can grab a Greek appetizer and then go for some sushi, have a bowl of spicy Laksa Rice Noodles and then some Fried Chicken all in one sitting! This Mall is also the focus of different ethnic festival and celebrations, so when you are here for a stroll you may find yourself in the middle of some Lion Dance or Folk music performances! read more

My favourite mall in all of Richmond. There's a few interesting stores that I don't see elsewhere. If you're looking for gold jewelry to gift that special person, there's a store here. If you're looking to buy a car, there's a Mazda dealership inside. If you need to charge your Tesla, there's an ample amount of super charging stations (20) just outside the Bay department store. However it gets busy. The food court is huge with global choices from Korean, Indian, Japanese, Thai, or just a classic root bear float at A&W. My friend was in heaven. The mall is open M-F from 10 am to 8 pm except Sundays is 11 am to 7 pm. read more

Happened across this mall because we were looking for a bakery and learned it was inside. We went in through the food court and were happy to find an Orange Julius! (I haven't had Orange Julius in the States for probably 20 years.) The food court is huge with several choices, including bubble tea and poutine. Parking was surprisingly easy on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. We had to wander a bit to find the bakery and even though I am a reformed mall rat who generally tries to stay away, this mall would bring me out of retirement. It's large, clean, and houses a tremendous variety of shops. There was a helpful person at the mall information desk who helped us find the bakery. And there was an obvious security presence, which I appreciated. Would definitely return for an afternoon of shopping or another Orange Julius! read more

This is the place where we have spent so much time as a family after lunch. We miss this place and there are so many people with energy and smiles on them. It has changed in some ways like where the foodcourt is, it used to be only 1 floor and a lot of sunlight could enter. It is different now, yet still popular especially the metro is nearby. Parking is not too bad, but still tight as before. Not too difficult to find a spot, and now it has got Tesla's charging stations. Nice place. read more

A very convenient mall. It had all the stores I was looking for and more plus the foodcourt has lots of options. It's a very big mall too, I had to refer to the map a couple of times. For covid they have the standard protocols. Masks on at all times and temperature checks before entering most stores, arrows on the ground. It wasn't too busy when I visited so I had time to properly shop. The lines weren't too long either. read more

I'm living the Robin Sparkles dream! I wanted to grab my friend Jessica and my friend Tori, put on our jelly bracelets and graffiti coat, and head to the mall. I knew I wouldn't be sooorry. Legit, though, I was marooned for an extra night in Vancouver and had no idea what was around me, and I was walking back to my airline-provided hotel, and I realized this was a giant shopping mall and the Robin Sparkles song came into my head and I knew I had to go. I don't really go to the mall at home, so I dunno how this one compares to malls back in the US, but I thought it was nice enough. Nice food court, free WiFi, and big ol' anchor stores with lots of familiar stores, mixed with lots of stores I didn't recognize. Oh, and a Hot Topic. I'm pretty sure there was a UN Resolution saying that Hot Topic must be a part of every mall in every nation. I was happy to find a mix of clothing, shoes, kiosks, and the real reason I went: Purdys Chocolate. I reviewed them separately, but lately I've been visiting chocolatiers of all shapes and sizes because you just can't hide what your heart wants, and my heart wants the truffle life. I walked the whole length of it, in order to walk off dinner and stay out of the rain. Didn't get hoops or a Benetton shirt, but for just a moment I did throw every last care away to come and play at the mall. read more

SO much renovation happening here and there. It's been on going. Couple years back it was the food court and now its the area near Shoppers and before that it was the area where the old Sears is located. So many changes happening. I do like going to this mall. Its like a one stop shopping center. Best part is that the food court is quite big after they moved it upstairs. Lot more choices. But I have to say after the reno the prices has gone up dramatically or is it inflation. Hard to tell! Also they have added a lot more resting chairs. Not only that the mall is a lot more spacious then before. read more

Richmond Centre is a nice, clean mall. Parking can sometimes be difficult to find (especially if your looking for a spot that's closest to the mall). But generally speaking the mall is clean. There are a variety of shops here and Uniqlo just opened here at RC so that's new and cool. There are future plans to renovate the mall and the are renderings of what the mall could look like in the future so that's neat that the owners and developers are thinking about the long term viability of the mall for the community of Richmond. The food court is nothing special although it is one of the nicer food courts that I've been to. Clean for the most part. And a variety of food choices here. But for court food is well food court food so there are your standards like A&W, New York Fries, KFC, Subway, Thai Express, etc etc. Food is OK. Getting a seat isn't too bad because the food court is quite large actually so that's nice that there is plenty of room. Overall. RC is a good place to shop. Recommended to come here and go for a walk around the mall. Or eat at the food court. read more

my cousin's husband had a slip-and-fall at Richmond Centre. The water on the floor was caused by a leak in the mall's roof. My cousin had to find out the truth in about a month's worth of sending them email inquiries. I was there at the mall's Starbucks buying a drink when it happened about 15-20 feet away from me. Terrible treatment by a dude named Chris Scott the safety manager at the Cadillac Fairview mall. He didn't say sorry to them and tried to sweep the incident under the rug. you can read the full review by my cousin here. it might be showing or it might be hidden in the unrecommended section if richmond centre tried to hide her review. the mall staff management should have owned up better to it. Christopher Scott, the coward as he is, danced around the issue and tried to avoid saying it was the mall's fault and didn't want to answer them that it was a water caused by the roof leak, maybe he was scared of being sued or something?? but cadillac fairview, you gotta take responsibility. shame on him and on cadillac fairview. another manager had to step up to apologize after my cousin had to spam a month's worth of emails to them lol. are they cowards at the company? you can read my cousin's full story under BEBE ROSE in the unrecommended section. read more

Came here on a spur of the moment decision and I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Everything is so bright and clean looking, making for a very pleasant shopping experience. Richmond Centre is one of my favourite malls in the city. It's big, clean, and has all the stores I shop at in one place. They have all the standard anchor stores: Hudson's Bay, Forever 21, Shoppers. They also have plenty of the same stores you'd see in a big mall: Victoria's Secret, Sephora, Aldo, Steve Madden, Dynamite, and more. This location is great because they have a MUJI, which I've personally never been to, but I hear they have awesome deals. The food court got revamped a few years back and it's now more clean, modern, with plenty of options to choose from. Subway, Opa!, A&W, Jugo Juice, New York Fries, are just a few popular options, to name a few. They also have an awesome fro-yo place right in the middle of the food court. I can never leave the mall without getting a double scoop of almond and chocolate in a cup. Too delicious! I do have to dock a star because of their insane and ridiculous parking situation. While there are plenty of parking spots, it seems that everyone fights over all the spots close to the front of the entrances, which cause a lot of traffic and honking horns, especially on the weekends. It is an absolute shit show. If you can avoid this mall on the weekends, do it! Or if you really must visit on the weekend, make the extra effort to park in the parking garage. There's more space and it only adds about 3 minutes to your walk to the entrance. Totally worth it to avoid the headache and stress, in my opinion. I also love that there is a Cactus Club that opened up inside the mall, so now I can go from shopping to happy hour. My poor bank account. Overall, a great one-stop shopping center. And again, park in the parking garages! read more

Free Wi-Fi and impressive food court. One of the good ones I've seen. When I get a Vancouver layover, I usually pop in this mall when I need some essential oils from essence and baked goods from the Chinese bakery. If you're in Richmond killing time for any reason, Richmond Centre can be an option now. After the renovations to this shopping mall, there are many stores that popped up. The best part of this mall is the upgraded food court on the top level. It's not the best food court, I've been to, but it sure is a hell of a lot better than before. They have Pinkberry now. read more

I only been here about a dozen times whenever I head out to this general vicinity. Honestly, I find this place to be okay, but it obviously doesn't measure up to Metrotown. The reason why I'm giving this place a 4 star though is because of their food court. It's one of the few that I thought looked the nicest out of all the mall's food court I've been to. I've been to Cap Mall, Metrotown, Park Royal, Oakridge Mall, Crystal Mall, etc. and most of them doesn't have half as nice of a food court as this place. They serve basically same kinds of food as most malls would, such as burgers, fries, some sort of chinese/japanese or some sort of Asian oriented food. Whenever I come here, I usually only just order the NYF, so I can't really say whether or not if their other food service is good or not. read more

Better mall with the addition of newer, bigger food court, but for me, other than the Apple store & Zara, Banana Republic, Guess, doesn't really get me pumped like a Metrotown or Pacific Centre, which is more destination. Yet on any given nite if you're in this area, not a bad place to kill time. Best to enter from Minoru entrances to avoid the mayhem on No.3 Road with so many cars, red lights, stop signs, etc. Or enter from the Sears parkade. read more

This review is mainly for their food court. Richmond Centre's food court is very very pretty and more upscale than Yaohan's and Aberdeen's, but the prices are more expensive, as well. I think every restaurant has to maintain a very professional and nice looking lot, which is why their prices are so costly for the quality of the food that they make. My sister and I shared something from the Thai place. We ordered a pad thai and it really didn't taste anything like a pad thai. Also, there were big huge chunks of eggs in it that were tasteless. My dad ordered from the Indian place. Not worth the money for the amount of food he got. He said he was still hungry after he finished his plate. My mom ordered food from the Bourbon chicken place. She thought it was decent. They also have boba places and a very nice gelato place. We picked up two scoops of gelato. Tasted good, but way overpriced. We also drove by the shopping places of Richmond Centre, but nothing really appealed to me. If you're hungry and looking for something good to eat, I would recommend to skip Richmond Centre's food court and head over to Aberdeen instead. read more

This mall is super nice and the food court is AMAZING! The parking lot is pretty good too. We stopped by here to grab some coffee and walk around for a bit after a huge dim sum meal nearby. The mall has a lot of decent stores too like Nike, Apple, ALDO, Guess, etc... It's super clean and everything looks really modern and white. I really liked the atmosphere, too. It's almost Christmas time and they even had a little area for kids to hang out with Santa's elves, that was super cute and festive! The food court has an array of mostly Asian cuisines which I love, but those seeking more American options may have to look elsewhere. Keep in mind, this is Richmond, and it's pretty Chinese around here, but I'm not complaining. read more

This review is mainly about the Richmond Center Food Court. This has to be one of the best food courts in all of the Lower Mainland. I say that for at least 3 reasons: Design: rather than just the typical 4 chairs and a table layout, this place has all types of seating: bar-type for singles, tables for 2 or 4, elevated-style 6 and 8 seaters, and round tables with portable chairs for large groups. Amenities: free WiFi, beautiful clean and spacious washrooms, plus easy parking just outside the door (upstairs near the Bay entrance). Food: lots of choices. My personal faves are the Indian and Thai places, as well as the Korean BBQ. read more
