This place is located in the Empire Centre food court. I don't have a whole lot to say since I didn't actually eat the food here. It was my husband who ordered the food and shared it with our daughter. He ordered some Taiwanese style chicken nuggets. He says he's ordered it here before and that this place is known for their Taiwanese chicken. The portion was very generous; the meat is moist and tender. (according to him) It came with a separate container of rice. Looked like a very filling meal and a lot more than one person would need. So it's a good thing the two of them were sharing it. Parking: Plentiful and free

Let's start with the good stuff. My son and I are have cravings for Taiwanese food and we've heard lots of good stuff about Cloud 9, a Taiwanese stall located in Empire Centre's Food Court. We ordered the Taiwanese Chicken Nuggets + Rice Combo (#3) and the Deep Fried Chicken Fillet + Rice Combo (#4). Combos come with sides of pickled cucumbers, veg, tofu, and marinated egg--loved all the sides. And both the Chicken Nuggets and DF Chicken (comes with 3 thighs) were really good. The food definitely did not disappoint. For $14 a combo and the amount of food you get, that's really good value considering how much everything cost nowadays. Food rating, definitely a solid 4. Now, for the experience. There's a small line up, maybe about 4 people ahead of me--and line ups a good thing, you know that this place have good food. So I waited in line just like everyone else. But when it came to me, she stopped taking orders. I'm like, ok, she's taken enough orders and needs to put them all in. She went in to put the orders in and came back out to start prepping side dishes. No worries. But, I continued to wait, right in front of her. Waited, and waited, and waited. Until someone came up from behind me and started ordering, and she was going to take it. I was like, um excuse me, I was next since I've been waiting here. Politely, of course. Put in my order and got a number. Done. Just have to wait for our food. Here's the second half of the experience. My son and I watched as each person got their food. No biggie. Then, the second wave of people that ordered after us got their food. Ok, they didn't call our number yet. We'll keep waiting. Then, the third wave of people that ordered after us got their food. Ok, patience is a virtue. It shouldn't be long now. Then, the fourth wave of people got their order and finished their food. Alright, patience has its limits when you're hungry and don't want to get it to the hangry phase. It's called prevention. It's been over 30 minutes at this point (yes, I checked based on my YELP check-in time). So, had to go up to her and ask when our order will be ready. She replied, a couple of minutes. And a couple minutes came and we got both our food. Based on our experience, service is 2 star. I'm going to add the parking experience here, a bit of context, I avoid Empire Centre like I avoid tipping fast food establishments. Please note, this has no weight on this establishment's star rating. Since it's before 11a on a Saturday morning, we went straight up to the parkade. The main lot is already chaotic at this time. The parkade was about 70% full when we go up top. By the time, we left (an hour later), peeps are waiting and circling in the parkade. Leaving the parkade to go to Hazelbridge, good luck. No one's gonna let you go and will block parkade exit. This is my fault as I forgot to turn my Asian on. We would have shaved off a good 8-10 minutes and probably pissed people off on top.

After hearing so much about the salty peppery chicken here, I just had to come by for a taste. Parking is available in the Empire lot outside. Staff are friendly. Looks like a mom and pop. I messed up and accidentally ordered a "large chicken nugget" instead of "chicken nugget combo". As a result, I got 1.5 containers' worth of chicken nuggets. Quite the First World problem. They get to be a bit much after the first 30 pieces, but I managed to down everything. See photo. As others have mentioned, pricing is very reasonable. Guess I'll be back to try their combo, which comes with less meat, but also rice and sides. Recommended.

Deep Fried Chicken Nuggets with side dishes of pickled cucumber, tofu skin, boiled egg and cauliflower.

Attended the Empire Centre Food Court yesterday around 2:00PM and was surprised to see the place was almost full after the lunch rush hour. I went to Cloud 9 Delicacy to check out their Deep Fried Chicken Nuggets based on the recommendation of Anson and Angely, Food vloggers. For $14.00, I got steamed rice, lots of crispy and crunchy deep fried chicken nuggets, 4 side dishes and an empty cup for tea. There's a hot tea dispenser on the counter. The side dishes were: pickled cucumber (very good), tofu skin (very tasty), cauliflower (a little bit salty) and a soy sauced boiled egg. The nuggets were substantial, I ate half and took the other half home. Apparently, this is what they are famous for and most of the customers were buying to eat there or taking them home. I, too, would recommend this place. Love their pickled cucumbers and the tofu skin.

Bang for the buck. That's what this place is for. Tax included in price. See my pics. $10.99 for the chicken nuggets and $12.99 for the deep fried pork chop rice bento box. Seems the pricing has gone up post pandemic, looking at other reviews. The tea was sweetened. Didn't like it. Didn't drink it. Located in the dump of a strip mall Empire Centre. It has definitely seen better days. Walk in, and it smells like Mainland China. The food is Taiwanese and Fujian. Judging by the written Chinese menu, my guess is that the owners are from Fujian and not Taiwan. I could be wrong. Limited English menu. It's on the large whiteboard signage above everything else. Unfortunately the bang for the buck food, the bento box, is all in Chinese. It's the stand up placard that lists 5 items with a little check box in front of each item. Use Google lens, then go for it.

Was following a foodie on instagram and I had no idea this food court/mall ever existed as I pass through that same parking lot for years. This is a food stall in a food court in a strip mall shared by adjoining malls. Food was excellent, I had the popcorn chicken combo. Quality protein, seasoned lightly, a variety of side dishes and the rice was al dente. I loved how the owner warned to eat promptly. That quality control is love. One warning, there is no English signs. Bring cash!

Whatever you are doing at this moment (unless it is having a baby or curing cancer) isn't nearly as important as getting yourself to Cloud 9 and ordering the chicken nuggets (#3).

I'M TRULY AMAZED BY THE HUGE PORTIONS! This Chinese food stall is located in the food court section within Empire Centre in Richmond. Parking can be challenging to find. Empire Centre is extremely quiet during COVID and a lot of the businesses have shut down. The seating area at the food court has a lot of tables/chairs blocked off. As a result, I felt rather safe eating there. Cloud 9 is a hidden gem tucked away in this hole-in-the-wall plaza. They serve Taiwanese/Chinese food. Some of their signs/menus did not have English translations. However, you can always try Google Lens! (This is how we get by when we travel to foreign countries.) The food stall is owned by a couple and the wife is extremely friendly. We got two of their bento boxes and unfortunately there is no English translation on the sign. The bento costs $9.99 each. We got a fried pork bento box and a marinated chicken bento box. I've never been so amazed at how much food you can get for such a price! This has never happened in Vancouver! In addition to the main entree, they'd give you 5 side dishes plus soup. Typically for most food court stalls, the rice would be included in the bento box. Not for Cloud 9. They put the rice in a separate box so you can imagine how much food there was! The owner advised that the side dishes change daily. The saying "you get what you pay for" did not apply here. The food was delicious and reminded me of my childhood times in Taiwan. I found the fried pork a little bit hard but that's personal preference. The marinated chicken was tender and juicy. Sides dishes were also amazing and you can tell effort was put into preparing them. I will definitely be back for more! The menu has some of my favorite dishes and I can't wait to try them!

Excellent food, ordered the crispy chicken meal. Every small fish samples and the chicken are well made, fresh taste and refreshing for a meal set. Fast service and genuinely good.

I stopped by this stall for their Salted Crispy/Popcorn Chicken Meal and Marinated Pork Chop Meal recently. Their chicken was really crispy and tender and the pork went well with rice. They also gave an assortment of vegetables with the meal. Overall, it was good value for the quality and quantity of food for the price.

I haven't had Taiwanese food for a looong time. And we finally came to try Cloud 9 Delicacy. I am so glad we found them. Big portion size and really authentic taste. They might be one of the most tasty and authentic Taiwanese cuisine I have ever tasted in Metro Vancouver. Please do try their marinated pork chops or any of their recommended rice combos. You won't regret. I thought the bento box is just the whole meal, but no.. the whole big box is just for all the veggies and meats. The rice come with a separate samll box. This meal could easily feed 1.5 person. Taiwanese chicken nuggets are so juicy and the taste is just so fragrance and delicious. I think it will be my to-go place for Taiwanese food in the future.

The taiwanese fried pork was delicious but not worth the wait. The service was terrible! We came at noon on a Friday and had to wait 40 mins for our order. It was also difficult to communicate with the cashier who called the orders in mandarin only.

First time trying Micha and it was great! We took advantage…read moreof their combo meal for 2 and got chicken nuggets, lamb stir fry and 3 braided veggies I love a beef roll and this one was great also got the 2:1 drink deal as well. The interior is big, clean and modern decor. Menu is big with delicious options and reasonable prices. Food also came out quickly! My only feedback would be is if they had some photos on their menu to be more clear as to what the dishes are and how they are prepared.

What's appealing here is that their Instagram advertises daily specials so you can get some dishes for a great discount (like 40% off). We tried the braised combo (pork ear, pork intestines, fish cake), Taiwanese egg wrap, braised pork sauce rice with deep fried pork chop, and yam taro mochi balls. The braised combo is pretty solid - I didn't really like the funkiness to the intestines (I generally enjoyed it in barbecue settings) but the fish cake was fantastic. I also liked the texture of the pork ears. The Taiwanese egg wrap was a bit tasteless, so I wouldn't recommend. Braised pork sauce rice is the lu ruo fan which is a large portion with seaweed, bean sprouts, and soup on the side. Pork chop was flavorful and juicy but not crispy batter, which is okay. Yam taro mochi balls were sweet and chewy. I don't like taro but I loved this dessert! Service is okay. They give a water jug for self pour but the water jug was of questionable cleanliness. The specials were not discounted so we called it out and we weren't told that we had to put the order with a server, not the QR code, so it was a strange interaction. They ended up honoring the discount. Also, they shut down ordering 1 min before 10:30pm - guess they didn't want more money as we wanted to order 1 more dish and they preemptively told the kitchen to close. Sure it's fine no big deal, it was a lot of food.

The dining space is small but the decoration inside makes you feel like you transported to a different country. Marshmallow Thick Toast 4/5 The toast was about an inch thick, well toasted outside with a pillowy soft center. There's some melted chocolate on the bottom that added to the smores vibe. The marshmallows on top weren't very thick, so it melted to an even layer with perfect browning. The toast was cut into 9 pieces so it can be shared but given the portion I think 1-2 people would be fitting for this dessert. We weren't too hungry, so we shared amongst 4. Jasmine Tea Jelly 4/5 I really liked how fragrant the jelly was and that the jelly was a softer jelly that reminds you of Aiyu jelly. The after taste was a bit bitter but I feel like that tells me it was brewed and made and not just bought to serve. It's served with a splash of half and half I believe. To-Go I wanted to try and compare all the tea flavored jellies they had, Jasmine, Oolong and Earl Grey Tea Jelly. Packaged with small packets of the half and half to add later. The best was OOLONG 5/5- it had a slight roasted tea flavor that was refreshing and comforting at the same time. What you would want from a milk tea. Second best was Jasmine - fragrant and less bitter than the one I had in restaurant, typical jasmine flavor that's lightly floral and not too heavy Earl Grey 3/5 - it was good if you like earl grey like me, but it has an intensely strong fragrance and flavor that might be off-putting if you're not used to the taste. It was by far the strongest floral taste and smell of the three. I'd definitely be back to get these to go, they carry well and you can cross borders with them :)
