Food: I ordered a two piece combo with one spicy and one original. Im not a fried chicken kinda guy, so, just take it as a grain of salt, but weren't bad. They were very crispy. The combo came with a side, a biscuit, and a bottle of drink. The biscuit had sweet crispy glaze on it, which was unexpected. I liked that they have bottled drinks, not a soda fountain. Because I don't drink soda, I got a bottle of water for the airplane ride. I went a couple of restaurants down and got coffee from Starbucks. Service: The lady who helped me was (came across) blunt but was nice. She even gave me a free chicken finger to try. Price: My two piece meal with a biscuit, a side, and a drink came to CAD 10.35 (USD 7.80), which is more than reasonable for airport food. I'm not sure if I will return here, but they didn't at least disappoint me. ***************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews. We never got any side dishes, nor water, but the chicken was enough to satisfy on its own. Likely to return, but the competition for Korean chicken is generally high with other places offering "inventive" flavors, but Chicko definitely nails each of their offerings well. The chicken meat is the star of each bite. The coating is not too thick or sticky, and the spice hits hard and leaves fast, as intended. The soy is not too sweet, leaving just enough flavor to taste the juices. The cashiers and cooks all appeared to be Korean which is a great sign of high standards. Not too long of a wait and it was clear that the food was made fresh because of the steam when we started eating.

I did not know what to expect, but I am glad I tried this place. Shawn's Chicken is a ~Chinese~ fried chicken joint featuring classic choices of spicy or regular chicken. My friend ordered the 3 piece spicy combo and I ordered the 2 piece regular combo. I think the prices are average - the 2 and 3 piece are just a dollar apart so it's probably more value to just get the 3 piece combo. The chicken is prepared fresh on the spot. The skin is very crispy and delicious! There is also a faint seasoning in both the regular and the spicy chicken that makes it quite unique. I can't put my finger on what that flavour is but it's distinct and very Chinese haha. The meat inside is tender and juicy, perfect all around. There are a couple bar seats to dine in but generally I can see people taking it out to eat for the most comfort. I will be back!

There are many different flavours to choose from, so there's something for everyone. On this visit, we had the combo, which comes with four different flavours: original, soy garlic, and our favourites, cheesling and spicy chicken. Aside from chicken, the menu also includes sides, salads, chicken burgers, and some pasta dishes, giving you a good variety. We had the lemon salad, not a favourite, as some of the veggies are wilted, and the kimchi fried rice, which is good for the price. Overall, it's a solid place for a casual and satisfying meal.

Sometimes, my dad craves this spot just for that hit of spice that feels a bit like home. It is not just the spiciness, the flavor is also really good and makes you wanting for more. Their original chicken also has a really crispy and light batter which I loved. On top of that, we also ordered the ribs and the rose tteokbokki. The ribs were delicious as well and I feel like it is not commonly found in other restaurants. The rose tteokbokki had good flavors but the rice cakes were way too soft for me. It lacks that bite and chew that good rice cakes have, they might've just overcooked it on that day. The place is really small and has really good service as the waitress can easily see you wherever you are, so no complaints on that side. There is a lot of competition for korean chicken and I can say that this one shouldn't be overlooked!

LOL the batter was quite odd and NOT flaky. it was sort of doughy/chewy, when it really should be light, airy, and crunchy... it came with a side of tartar sauce but it was quite lackluster as well. i think their google reviews are definitely inflated because of their raffle they do for 5 star reviews. you get entered into their raffle for a $200 giftcard if you leave a 5 star review, so.. yeah :/ go eat somewhere else in the airport while you're waiting!!

I went to this fried chicken joint during a non-busy hour in weekday. There were just a few customers there and not many staff members were there too. I ordered a 3pcs combo with mashed potato. Sufficient portion to fill up my hungry tummy. For the foods nothing to complaint about. The taste was good and not too salty like another fried chicken chain. For the ambient side, I would like the shop keeper to improve the cleanliness as the tables were not clean as soon as possible though there weren't many customers.
