    Black goat soup
    Michealea F.

The black goat soup has a unique taste. I wasn't sure if I like it, but after a couple of bites, it's a hearty dish. The meat is tender which i like. I like my sister's pork back bone soup more though. The pancake is a bit thick for my liking, but I might be too full to rate it properly. Overall, it's a good korean restaurant and feels very authentic.

my new favourite korean spot in surrey! we've been to quite a few around surrey but this place seems the most authentic. the service was also super fast and friendly. we got the blood sausage soup and the galbitang. it came with sides of kimchi radish, fish cakes, potato and bean sprouts.

This place has been on my radar for years but my wife isn't really into Korean food. Our trip here definitely changed her mind. I always saw their soups in posts and thought I knew what I wanted before we got there, but that changed real quick when I saw their picture menu on the wall. We ordered the deep fried dumplings to start, which were amazing. Crispy, flavourful, and juicy! I ordered the ox bone soup. It was light and almost creamy. There wasn't much inside the soup as far as meat and noodles, but I assume the star of the dish was meant to be the broth. It came with a side of rice as well. I'd order it again, but only after trying other soups. My wife ordered the pork back bone soup - spicy. This was amazing. Was absolutely filled with flavour and toppings. Was super spicy too which was great on the only cloudy (cold-ish) day of the summer. The bones were loaded with chunks of melt in your mouth meat (see picture). All of this came with the standard Korean sides as well. We will definitely be back.

Hands-down, this is my favourite Korean restaurant in the Guildford area. :) I always recommend Lee Gar Nei to friends who aren't from Surrey. My family's been coming here for years and the quality and value never disappoint. Our go-to is the pork backbone stew - even though I try to order something different each time I go, there's something about this soup that's so addictive and wonderfully delicious. I was also happy to see that even with takeout, the portion is still very reasonable for its price.

A small restaurant located at Surrey that serves excellent Korean meals. I ordered their Soft Tofu Stew and did not disappoint. I will definitely will go back here again.

Family style Korean restaurant in Guildford, wide selection of Korean dishes and meals the beef ribs are definitely a must-try! Large portion of marinated, super tender, beef ribs with a bed of grilled bean sprouts for 2-4 people! The soft tofu soup and the hot pot Bulgogi also comes with rice too~ Grilled Beef Ribs - $19.00 Soft Tofu Soup - $11.50 Hot Pot Bulgogi - $12.50

Pork cutlet and individual side dishes

Went here for lunch with some friends and had a very delicious meal out for the first time since Covid lockdown. They had few tables open and was strategically placed so that we aren't near other diners. We got individual side dishes which I had wondered about before going in and little things like this made me feel comfortable to be eating out. I ordered the pork cutlet and instead of the usual steak style, they served it in strips with a generous amount. The coating was very crispy and the meat super tender. Didn't need floss after biting into it! One of my friends who can't eat spicy foods ordered the mild (as opposed to no spice) tofu soup and she said the spicy level isn't that bad (there have been times at other restaurants where she couldn't eat it) so she was able to eat her meal enjoyably. Service was efficient and pleasant.

Good korean restaurant, pretty authentic and nice area. Lots of parking spaces and bus stops at walking distance. Good food and decent drinks. Mostly popular and common alcohol and pop beverages. Nice hot pot and alright side dishes. A few seats but get really busy so better to reserve the tables you need. It's a pretty popular place that's not really big. Not too loud but definitely not a quiet relaxing type of dining either. Good for all groups and ages. Nice service, really good attitude although they do often forget some stuff because he get so busy. However, if you let them know they won't stare at you for reminding them but go work on it with a smile. Decent speed and perfect portions. Seafood pancake was good but a bit different from most korean restaurants I've been to. The texture is a bit different but the taste is still really nice! Do recommend this place!

The Surrey Guilford area is full of Korean restaurants to choose from. It was another late night dinner and we stopped by this restaurant as it was still open. This small restaurant serves traditional Korean food. We were seated right away and given menus and tea. I ordered my favourite seafood tofu soup and requested medium spicy. Once our food arrived, we were served three banchan. They were nicely marinated side dishes. My tofu soup was loaded with shrimp and tofu. The spiciness was just perfect in this cold weather. Service was minimal. Our server refilled tea when we requested for more tea. She was busy with closing duties and serving other customers. Four stars for the food. It is another solid Korean food option in the area.

Great service. Owner was very nice! I used the Yelp deal. $3 off. Still something right? First time here and the food was really good. The food came out pretty quick and it was really hot! Had the ribs - it was a bit expensive but the amount wasn't too small but underneath the meat there was a lot of bean sprouts. I recommend to try the fried dumplings! Very crunchy and juicy inside. The rice cake was okay... wasn't that flavorful.

Very great authentic Korean food! Only put 4 stars because there is always room for improvement. I got the seafood tofu soup and appetizers dokbokki + fried dumplings. Very filling meal! I did ask the server if I could get my soup more spivey however he did fail to remember my request after a few other people's meals were ready and a family came in to eat.

Korean sausage. Soondae! A specialty made with vermicelli noodles and pork blood.

Authentic and homey Korean dishes and friendly service. Was craving Korean while visiting Guilford Mall and happened to come across this little place. We tried their soft tofu soup with pork (regular spice level- not really spicy at all for those who like spice), short rib soup, grilled short rib, and sausage. Everything was delicious, soups were piping hot and flavourful and came with rice. The only thing is for the price of the grilled short rib there could have been a larger portion but really enjoyed my meal. Their side dishes included two kinds of marinated radish and Kimchi. Well made and also plentiful refills!

We ordered a Dirty Chai, the Cold Queen from their seasonal menu, and split a Vegetarian Sandwich plus an Espresso Banana Bread. For two people sharing food and grabbing drinks, coming in under $40 felt like a total win. I love that their sandwiches are made fresh and fully customizable--your choice of bread, toppings, sauce, the whole deal. But the Espresso Banana Bread? Listen. Moist, rich, espresso‑kissed goodness. We tried to share politely... but both of us were definitely eyeing that last bite. The drinks were equally impressive--the Dirty Chai was creamy, spicy, and had just enough espresso kick to wake up my soul. Now, the decor is an experience all its own. They really stick to their gothic brand identity--right down to the menu. Think haunted country manor meets cool indie cafe. Dark walls, dramatic pieces, and yes... upstairs there's an actual table made from a coffin. It's a whole vibe. That said, I'm not sure eating a sandwich under an animal skull is quite for me. But the food and drinks were stellar enough that I'd absolutely come back--maybe just grab my goodies to go next time. The staff were incredibly friendly, and although the space is small (warehouse‑style with a couple tables and some bar seating), it has charm. Final verdict: Delicious drinks, great prices, unforgettable decor--worth the visit, even if you're taking your snack back to the land of the living.

The establishment was so unique for how it is decorated with Halloween decorations and antiquated-looking gothic ornaments. There is also a lounge area upstairs where you can feel more comfortable while you socialize and eat. I had their 'build your own sandwich', which consisted of salami, Dijon mustard, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and onions on a pretzel submarine bun. The sandwich was good; the salami was really good being given a generous portion of it, the vegetables were fresh and the bun, not so fresh, but was still good. Their coffee was pretty decent. The staff was very kind and welcoming. They even gave me a free cookie for my patronage when I asked for one of their baked goods. I recommend the Black Casket Cafe for anyone who loves stylish hangout businesses that serves specialized beverages.
