We got the army stew (Budae jjigae) to share plus an order of Korean fried chicken. The staff recommended that when we asked what RO order for an appetizer or side. She said the fried chicken is the popular item. The soy garlic chicken was delicious. I like the army stew which is a guilty pleasure as it contains mostly processed meat like spam and sausage and a slice of American cheese and instant noodle. My friend never tried it before and while she liked the soup, she didn't like the processed stuff. She mostly had the tofu and rice cakes in there. The place was quite busy when we we were there on a Tuesday night. I guess it is a popular spot in the area. Parking is available out front.

This Korean Restaurant came with a high recommendation from our Host's friend while visiting BC…read more Our Host was not familiar with Korean food and left the ordering up to me for everyone to enjoy! They had a great variety, I ordered the Spicy Tofu Soup, LA Kalbi, Japchae, and Bossom to share. Others ordered individual Bibimbaps that came with several garnishes. Loved that they served complementary tea. It wasn't too long that our order was brought one by one, served hot and delicious! Our Host was very impressed and now knows what to order for next time. Place was clean, fast service. Special shout out to Audrey and Olivia for a wonderful dining experience! Highly recommend if ever in the Langley area!

Was in the Guildford area with my boyfriend on Thursday after work and felt like some Korean food…read moreand found this little hole in the wall with great ratings. It's a cute Mom and Pop place and we were promptly greeted warmly upon arrival. The restaurant was nearly full on a Thursday night, a good sign. They have a simple small menu and we ordered the LA Galbi and Beef Bimbimbop with rice in a hot stone bowl (+$1). For some reason, the LA Galbi doesn't come with a bowl of rice but is served with a small bowl of ox bone soup. The banchans sides were plentiful with Kim chi radish, bean sprots, potatoes, and sold kind of stewed beef with veggies. LA Galbi was solid and good quality of beef, flavourful, and quantity for $35. The beef bimbimbop with rice was good for $19. Overall, a solid cute local spot worth visiting and supporting.

Pleasantly surprised by their beef soft tofu soup as it is made so poorly in most restaurants…read more Broth was delicious and ingredients fresh, however, beef portion was kinda small and tough. My mom is a long time fan of their black goat soup. She says the broth is delicious and the meat is generous in portion and not gamey. Recommended

Chill place with nice service. The menu definitely became much smaller as years go by and prices gone up as the market went up. Still a decent place in my option. It seemed like their BBQ meals are quite popular since a couple of tables after us ordered the same. You are given the option of pork belly or pork jowl or a combination of the two. We chose the latter option, and we weren't disappointed! We were fairly new to this style of Korean BBQ dining and were deep in conversation, so we kept getting distracted and forgot to check on the meats. The waitress working was EXTREMELY patient and helpful. She helped us with the cooking and made conversation and joked with us. I personally prefer the pork belly because the pork jowl was a bit lean and dry (perhaps that was due to our poor cooking). The side dishes and soybean soup were standard - no complaints but also nothing to rave about. Instead of getting the rice with the soup, we ended the meal with the fried rice (additional $5). There was quite a lot of food leftover for 2 people so the small is definitely a good amount!

Still coming back to Nadri after all these years! In my recent visit we arrived half an hour before…read moretheir closing and they were kind enough to let us order. But will have to remember to come back earlier next time if I plan to order their fried chicken because they have closed off their fryer by that time. In our visit we ordered the clam kalguksu and galbi tang. Both dishes were full of umami flavours. And it is the perfect place to grab a bite after a day of work for some simple and laid back in a food court setting.

I haven't been to Nadri in a long while and it used to be one of my favorite restaurants in K town…read more I was somewhat disappointed at the food i received and the service provided. I'm not sure if it's because they depend another restaurant nearby and all the good staff went over there?! The server lady had a poker face on the entire time. When she brought us our utensils and appetizers, she sort of threw them on the table. Previous visits, we'd get asked for side dish refills or even water. We had to approach them for refills. The kalbi Tang wasn't as tasty as i remembered. Yes the broth is lighter than most Korean soups, but i recalled that it was still rich in taste. Today it tasted a bit watered down and the meat wasn't tender at all. The ginseng chicken soup was also mediocre...perhaps they forgot to season the food? I have officially removed Nadri from my favorites list.

Came to Bon Ga at an off-hour (around 3pm), so we were the only ones there. The service was polite…read moreand attentive, which we appreciated. The restaurant also has a nice ambiance. Unfortunately, the food was a bit underwhelming overall. The bossam was over-boiled and quite bland--it also didn't come with any lettuce or cabbage for wrapping, which was a letdown. The short ribs were a little chewy and unevenly marinated, resulting in some flavorful bites but also a lot of bland ones. The tofu soup was solid, but I do wish they served the egg on the side so we could crack it in ourselves--mine ended up with a fully boiled yolk, and I prefer it runny. The tteokbokki was decent; the rice cakes were firmer than I like, and there was barely any fish cake in the dish. We also tried the fried squid rings, which were mostly good, though one of the larger pieces had an odd pasty texture--possibly under-fried or over-battered. All in all, not a terrible experience, but the food didn't quite hit the mark for me.

You know with how they served this item, it is their speciality and made with love. With pressure cooking it to brining it, to serving it at room temp. There aren't too many great Korean restaurants in Surrey/Langley but this place is a gem!…read more You know when a Korean place is good when it is constantly filled with Korean customers with a waitlist. They have amazing fist sized mandu, but what my favourite items are, is their handmade and hand cut noodles. You can really see that each strand is individually sized and very chewy, the way that I like my noods. The soup is also very good, although I have heard from others that they are not flavourful enough, but I like it that way, so I can adjust it on my own, as they have spices for you to add in. Due to how busy they are, at times I can feel service is rushed, so definitely not a place where you could linger and catch up after you're done your food.
