    Chicken lasagna
    Lisa V.

I will be back. Hands down. I want to eat everything on the menu. Such and inviting space with warm service. Even our fabulous server couldn't tell you what his favourite dish was because everything is delicious. The lasagna was huge and cheesy and the sauce was on point. Will you be too full for dessert? Yes. Will you order it anyway? Also yes. Lightest, fluffiest tiramisu I've ever tasted and it's proper tiramisu. So good! Can't wait to take another 15min to decide on my meal on my next visit!

After a long day in the city while on vacation, I came to Uncle Tony's for a late dinner. The ambiance is warm and quiet, the service near-perfect (it took awhile to get started but once it got going had no issues), and the decor makes it inviting and adds richness to the meal. I had a the Vitello Alla Parmigiana (breaded veal cutlet, which came with a side of spaghetti), and garlic bread. The last time I was in Toronto was years ago with my now-deceased father. He's Italian, and veal was one of his favorite meals. So this dinner was a bit of an homage to him, and as a result it meant a lot to me that the whole experience was wonderful. Though I write this from my home in California, I hope to go to Toronto again someday and if so will hope this restaurant is still here. Also note: right across the street is the Dog Fountain. This is a real treat to see and combined it was a great pairing.

I like this place mostly for the atmosphere. All the tables are lined with red and white linen, the lights are dim and the candles are all lit for dinner. It is a romantic space and homely at the same time. We had a mix of dishes, including the fried calamari, the squash raviolli and the funghi pizza. I really like all of them, as they each had their own unique texture and flavors. When reserving a table, ask for the curved booths as they are tucked away to one side and provide even more privacy from the larger space.

Stepping into Uncle Tony's is like walking into one's Sicilian grandparents' ristorante. The service was pleasant and the good was pretty good. I ordered the Melanzana Parmigana as an appetizer, which could really be made into a standalone entree. Then I ordered their Agnolotti Caruso as a main entree which was nice but could have been cooked a little more. For dessert I went with their tiramisu and it was really tasty. Their wine is good too and has some nice offerings such as the Riesling by Inniskillin.

This restaurant was a huge disappointment, we went to this place for a pizza and what we got can not be call a pizza, and than the olive olive was i dont know what name should i give, the only good thing was the kindness of the waitress , but the food was horrible. You think you enter an authentic Italian restaurant but i was speechless about the food. and i payed 92 dollar. Ruined completely our Sunday.

I was sadly let down. There were good reviews, the atmosphere was nice, there was live accordion music, and the servers were attentive. However, the food was not worth it. I should have known better - even on a Friday night, there was plenty of seating available. We got the arugula salad, the fungi pizza and the tiramisu. Everything was described on the menu in a way that was mouth watering, but the delivery falls short. The salad had 3 tomatoes, and about 5 pecans. That was it. The fungi pizza had common button/portobello mushrooms, very few scallions, and we couldn't taste the truffle oil. Somehow, for a thin crust pizza, the crust was soggy. I didn't know that was possible. The tiramisu was served in a mason jar, which is a cool idea, but it made it super wet, and there was only one layer of lady fingers. They were soaked and falling apart. All in all, I wouldn't come back here.

probably my favorite place we ate while in Toronto. All of the dishes were perfect and so delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Ambiance: dim lighting, checkered tables, nice light music in the back. Serving: attentive, very gracious with splitting receipts. Food did take about 20-30 minutes for a party of 10 entrees. Reservations are needed! It was packed when we came in, even around 8:30PM on a Thursday night. Prices: 18-30 per entree, a little on the pricey side for what food we got. Quantities were perfect sized to share. Food: We got the squash agnolotti - tasty, creamy, sweet taste. Good to eat but hard to eat alone due to overpowering flavour. Funghi pizza - lighter fare and balanced well with the other entrees Dominic pizza - meaty and good Tony pizza - overhyped but crispy bacon was yummy Gnocchi primavera - pan fried almost, definitely not the expected flavour and texture. Rigatoni - kinda heavy flour taste Bonus: hot chilli oil was a nice kick and I covered my plate with it to soak into the pizza crusts. Pass, but not the most amazing I've had.

Great place for a casual dinner - the menu is small but it is perfectly curated. The staff is nice and the decoration is lovely.

Good food but the service was slow. We sat down at 5:30 and weren't served until 7:00. Not good since we had theater tickets for 8:00.

This is a wine bar - the house lager was bad (maybe my own bad decision) and the red I got was fine ... nothing to write home about. However place fell apart with the food - the shrimp came with 5 medium sized shrimp with the tails, legs and shells on and were under seasoned. The artichokes were mediocre (loved the sauce they came with). Worst of all was the "Ontario peaches" with the burrata were totally canned peaches - could've even been dole brand! This place has amazing potential with the location and vibe - but the food just was not it. Small portions and the price didn't match what was served. The service was friendly but nothing too crazy. Go here for the drinks, but maybe not for the dinner!

Our server was great at helping us pick our wine, he mentioned that their wines are all on the dry side which is perfect for me, I'm not one for sweet wines. We also had two of their small plates the mussels and the burrata. The mussels tasted great with the sauce, a little garlicky which I prefer. The combination of the peach and mint went really well with the burrata. Light and easy to eat. The patio at night is one of the highlights. The only small complaint was it did take a while to get our wine after we ordered it and a little while to get our check. Otherwise cute spot.

Lots of decent beers on draft and they leave water bottle to refill your water cups, which I love. Service is bit slow. Had to sit at the bar since it was crowded at 6:30pm and still had to wait 30 mins. I normally don't eat at the bar, since bartenders are slower and busier with drink orders, but I was starving. Bartender only checked on us once, when food came out. Hard to get their attention too. Food, however, was amazing! Love the savory giant meatball and the rich San Marzano tomato-based marinara sauce, with dab of pesto and plenty of fresh basil. Loved the sauce was not too acidic and pasta cooked perfectly, not al dente. The focaccia bread comes with this rosemary garlic butter, and it was absolutely delicious on focaccia. The focaccia bread alone was just okay, not much rosemary or oil flavor, but I think the spread had all the flavor. Amazing and worth $6.

Food 3/5 Service 3/5…read moreAmbiance 3/5 Food: I came here for an event. There was a set menu with appetizers (salad, bread etc) most of it I couldn't eat due to food allergies. For the main dish we could choose from gnocchi, salad with salmon or another dish which I can't recall right now. Dessert was ice cream which I also couldn't eat. The gnocchi was very mediocre. I didn't enjoy it at all. I hadn't been here in years but I see their food quality hasn't gotten any better. I was starving by the time the main dish came out so I ate about a quarter of the dish. Then I took the rest of the gnocchi home. Service: The waitstaff were really nice but the service was not very organized. There was a lot of appetizers but I couldn't eat most of it. Which is strange because I gave my food allergies several days in advance of the meal. It took some time to get the main dish as well so the pacing didn't seem great. I looked around at the other tables & we got our main dishes last. I'm not sure if the kitchen was at fault or what. Ambiance: It's quite dark here even on the lunch hour. The decor is dark wood tones, red upholstered banquette seating & wooden tables & chairs. It's not a fancy place. I would not choose to eat here again. Last time I went was several years ago. Sadly I see they haven't gotten any better. There are other better Italian restaurants in this area.
