I've never been to a store location -- I actually did not even know they existed until I saw this at the mall and I knew I wanted to stop by. It was really packed the day I was there, but it did not stop me from entering and shopping. I ended up finding the collection I knew about and had asked the employee after waiting in the long line to checkout, if they had sold the complete set -- which they did have in the back. It was exactly what I was looking for and was so happy that they had it. There are a lot of other fun collections on display where you can get single blind boxes -- I did get a few others and am excited to see what's inside. Some of these are gifts! I do not typically buy a lot of these types of things, but I would imagine they are priced fairly for the market value. I want to collect all of the Nyota Series and the Snoopy & Woodstock BFFs. It was slightly difficult to shop with it being so crowded, but I knew what I was looking for. The time will pass quickly while in line and I found out there is point program where you earn points per purchase which can be used towards member things. Luckily, I was able to set one up for the purchase I had made that day at the counter.

It's a shop in Japantown…read morewith new and secondhand items, like men's and women's clothes, purses, jewelry, Sanrio merchandise, plushies, crafting kits, greeting cards, and more. It's very cute and very clean, and doesn't seem like a thrift shop at all. The young woman working there was friendly and helpful. I saw lots of little things I wanted to buy, like the tiniest Labubu I've ever seen, but didn't end up purchasing anything. Most of the clothes and accessories for females seemed targeted toward young people, but I'm glad I stopped in and checked out all of their cute loot. Be sure to bring change for the metered parking or plan to use your credit card.

I bought a fleece skirt and wannabe suede tube top. Both pieces were $20-$22, but such a great deal! I lived that Baby Phat jacket too, but it was too small for me! Damnit! There's also a men's area towards the back of the store also, so make sure to check that area too! There were two employees working, when k went in on that weekday, make sure you bring coins or just pay via credit card to park, since all of Jtown charges for parking. I will definitely be back! $50 for an outfit I love! I can't wait to go home, wash it and wear it! They employee said if you post a pic of you in their outfit, to tag them on IG to be entered into some drawing for monthly coupon or something- I forget, but I'll be posting soon enough!!!

I have tried the Tsukune twice now, a tasty meatball creation. Today I also had the Bara Tama, pork belly with thick slices of onion. I won't forget how there were tasty options around every corner in Tokyo. Ever since I went to Japan last year, I crave delicious yakitori from a charcoal grill in the Bay Area and always seek out new places to try. I finally tried Okibiyaki-Kikuchi as a yakitori pop-up at ShaKa brewing after eyeing it for a long time. The grilled meat skewers were so delicious and enjoyable to eat with a cold beer flight from ShaKa brewing. The chef is a master of yakitori. I tried hatsu, kalbi, shishito, kimo, and bara tama. I can describe a perfect night like this. A perfect night included skewers from the live ember grill by the master chef and a beer flight. The flavors are legit-- the process of preparing the meat is impressive, and the technique with the charcoal grill brings out the best flavors. The Bay Area is treated to authentic flavors like in Japan. It is recommended that should arrive to the pop-up early as they ran out of the chicken skewers. I will absolutely order the chicken skin and thigh again and again. I also tried his pop up at Clandestine Brewery as well. The quality is so consistent and delicious. I like the vibe of eating like in a picnic style outdoors with a cold glass of beer. Nothing beats that for me. Follow @okibiyaki_kikuchi on IG to see where he pops up next.
