Came for breakfast, and Two Hands was terrific all around! Had made a reservation on Open Table, so no wait on. Sat am. (WOW!) Very friendly and helpful waiter - great recos. Tried: the toasted banana bread. Large enough potion to share. Scramble eggs - so good. I'm still thinking about it. Soft eggs, toasted sourdough bread, greens. Very filling. Latte - liked that they had options (so milk alternatives and decaf) Cute clean place. Happy we went. read more

I haven't been to many Australian-focused restaurants in my life (unless Outback counts? Lol), but if Two Hands is a reflection of what the cuisine is like, I am 100% behind it! I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and decided to make a reservation for brunch on the weekend. It was busy as expected, but we were seated quickly. Loved the interior design, wooden tables with white brick walls and greenery throughout. Definitely a "home grown" vibe which is what they tout on their website. The menu is an eclectic mix of proteins and veggies and is bound to have something for everyone. Clean, simple ingredients without too much embellishment. I've tried pretty much everything over my last three visits and these are my favorites: Banana Walnut Bread - This is easily the most delicious and notable item on the menu in my opinion and it's not even a main dish. While the banana bread itself is moist and decadent, it's the espresso mascarpone and honey drizzle that absolutely take this one over the top. I could probably eat two or three of these - even though it's a decent sized portion. You MUST get this if you come here! Tomato Toast - Classic example of simple and high quality ingredients speaking for themselves. A super thick slice of toasted sourdough with cheesy spread is topped with a runny poached egg, tomato relish and prosciutto. Totally balanced and totally scrumptious. The presentation is impeccable too Steak & Egg - Standard steak and eggs, but the real star of the dish is their uber crispy hash and tangy anchovy dressing. The greens go well and it's not too heavy, but definitely filling Lemon Poppyseed Waffle - This is exactly as it sounds. Imagine a lemon poppyseed muffin pressed into waffle form with a sweet mascarpone cream, strawberries and syrup. I thought it was pretty good (and I love lemon poppyseed), but for me, it didn't beat the Banana Walnut Bread Salmon Quinoa Bowl - Colorful! One of the pricier options on the menu ($25), but comes with very fresh ingredients, lots of veggies and solid flavors. I love that you can add a wide range of sides or extras to your meal ranging from just an egg or hash brown to whole salmon filets or steaks (5 oz), depending on how hungry you are Two Hands gets full marks on taste and execution from me. BTW the service was so nice, I almost forgot to mention, the only reason I even tried the Banana Walnut Bread my first time there was because I saw another table getting it and asked my server about it. So he just brought it to me for free LOL. What a guy! Looking forward to coming back!! read more

Had an amazing lunch here over the summer. I ordered the matcha lavender latte, Zoe's market plate, and a fiber muffin (to share). All of the food was amazing and reasonably priced considering everything that came in the food and the size of the dishes. The servers were incredibly kind and didn't rush us despite there being a constant flow of people. The other person in my party ordered the miso mushroom bowl and a mocha. The place has a casual lunch tone to it which was perfect for the type of food and feel of the place. I would definitely return! read more

This has become one of my favorite restaurants for brunch. All of the food is so good and a plus that it is healthy! The vibe very bright, clean and has a beach house vibe. It was busy, but the staff were very attentive. We enjoyed everything we had. This included the steak and eggs, chicken bowl, lemon poppyseed waffle, crispy chili fries and green mango smoothie. My favorite was the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked really well, but there was a really crispy hash brown nest and the dressing on the salad was surprisingly very good! The crispy chili fries were a bit bland and oily. These were fries that were drizzled with chili oil and red pepper. The portions are a nice size and the prices are fair. read more

This is walking distance from us so very convenient to come for breakfast/brunch. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated right away for a party of 4. I got their iced vanilla latte to start and the açaí bowl for my entree. The açaí base was really good and I liked the granola and fruit toppings. We also shared the chili fries for the table which weren't bad. Our waiter was really friendly and checked on us throughout our time there. Overall a good spot to check out. read more

The food was good, not amazing, but good. Prices were reasonable (by today's standard). While our server was polite and effective they clearly wanted to push us out as soon as they could. This aspect of the meal was a major downside. read more

I've never had Australian food before so I didn't know what to expect. At first glance, the vibe was pleasant, very brunch like. The wait was about 30 minutes to get seated, but once we got our food, I was amazed. The presentation threw me for a loop. It was a pretty sight! We ordered the Lemon Poppyseed Waffle and the Chicken Bowl. The dishes were colorful and delicious. The waffle was not overwhelming in its lemon taste which was a concern for me, and overall it was the perfect amount of sweet. read more

I came to Two Hands on Presidents Day for brunch. It was super packed when we came in and we had to wait a couple minutes to grab our table. The tables were also very close to one another so it was a bit loud. We ordered iced matcha lattes and iced lattes, as well as the acai bowl and steak and eggs for food. The steak and eggs was good but I thought it lacked a bit of flavor. The hot sauce definitely carried. Otherwise the spot was super cute! read more

The one-star review (and I wish I could give zero stars) is not about the quality of the food but about the waitress/host, whose actions made no sense. My wife and I walked in when there was no line, and several tables were clearly available. However, we were told there would be a 30-40 minute wait. When I asked about the empty tables, she claimed they were reserved. About ten minutes later, three women walked in, got impatient, and were about to leave. The waitress chased after them and seated them immediately. My wife approached her and pointed out that we had been waiting for ten minutes and arrived before those ladies. The waitress responded that the tables were meant for groups of three. Yet, I noticed one of those tables remained empty after seating the ladies, and another two empty tables had been pushed together for a group of four. Let me emphasize--there was no line. We were the only ones there, and the waitress still decided to make us wait for 30 minutes. What would have happened if no one else came in to fill those "reserved" tables? It would've wasted our time. Since it was raining and miserable outside, we decided not to let her poor judgment waste any more of our time and took our business elsewhere. Maybe it's no big deal to the waitress that we walked out, but if enough customers leave (at $20-$30 per person), it'll eventually hurt the owner. For the record, the couple behind us also walked out immediately after hearing about the 30-40 minute wait. Good luck to the owner who has to pay the rent in Tribeca!!!! read more

All I can say is oh my god. I've never been impressed by brunch before. Brunch is usually just eggs, toast, some variation of pancake batter, and a cute drink or two. It's never seemed worth it to me but Two Hands is phenomenal!! I've been to both the Tribeca and Soho Locations and they're always booked and out of reservations, which makes sense!! The miso brownie is one of the best brownies I've ever had. Not too chocolatey, but the perfect amount of sweetness. The breakfast burrito is hands down my absolute favorite. The mushroom give a great texture and the flavors combine very well. The waffles are delicious, a flavor combo I never knew I needed. The food is overall a great hit for me and 3 of my other friends I've taken on separate occasions. The ambiance isn't anything crazy. Simple and clean. Overall, very impressed with this brunch spot. If you think brunch is underrated and a waste of money I guarantee you this spot is not. The flavor combos are unlike any other!! read more

Came here on a Saturday evening and had a great experience! The service was attentive, food was great, and atmosphere was lively. People were coming in and out, both doing bar seating and hanging out and grabbing dinner together. The location has smaller tables that can be moved together, so it makes it a great place for a larger group if you're looking for a place that can accommodate various food preferences. I'd come back next time I'm in the city for those croquettes. They were delicious! read more

I don't really leave reviews, but when I saw this place was rated 3.8 stars, I felt like I owed the great service & high quality food a review. I had the Smashed Avocado Toast with a side of smoked salmon & and Iced Chai Latte. My server was very kind and attentive. The smashed toast was so filling & delicious, the (easily removable) red peppers added a tinge of spice that I enjoyed. I ordered the side of smoked salmon because I was afraid the toast wouldn't have been enough on its own, and although it was delicious, it was not necessary! I 100% recommend. We hosted a private group dinner at Two Hands and it was such a win from start to finish! First, the food was incredible. There was so much of it, and every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The drinks were just as impressive, pretty, creative, and delicious. The space itself has such a cool, stylish vibe, it felt warm and inviting but still trendy and elevated, which was perfect for our group. And the customer service was truly next level. The team made us feel so taken care of from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. They helped make the night stress free. Highly recommend Two Hands if you're looking for a private event space that delivers on food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. We'd host here again in a heartbeat! read more

I think you can also work here too, I saw a couple people with laptops. Defs would come back if I needed a quick breakfast or wanted to work here for a bit. Lemon Poppy Seed Waffle - Delicious! The waffle was crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Brassicas Bowl - Healthy! Looking for a light breakfast, this is perfect! The hummus is a great addition ! Matcha Latte - Good! The matcha flavor is good. It doesn't come as sweet, and I like it sweet, so just adjust as needed. read more

My friend highly recommend this restaurant to me for a luncheon moment before my flight. I will say the interior of this hole in the wall restaurant is gorgeous and reminds me a lot of restaurant in Miami. I ordered the Salmon bowl and boy did it not disappoint. The bowl had so much flavor, especially the pickled radish. I will say that the pickled radish could be overwhelming for some; however, great dish paired with the salmon, egg, and quinoa. Delicious! Would recommend for something refreshing on a hot summer day (which it was that day). The service was okay... nothing to crazy but still welcoming. read more

A really cute neighborhood gem. The brunch options are healthier than a lot of places. I've popped in without a reservation twice. Bf loves sweets so he always gets the lemon poppy waffles which are super sweet but really flavorful. The Zoe's plate is really interesting in that I feel very healthy consuming it, but I don't feel like i'm eating rabbit food. The different ingredients blend really well together. I did however order a seasonal scramble to go and it missed the mark entirely. Tasted like I bit into a bitter raw onion and the flavor (I think it was actually fennel) overpowered the entire dish. That's the one dish I would not order again. Coffee is good and comes in very cute mugs and the drinks are also strong, but delish. Overall, a refreshing take on brunch. And it's great that you can pay in app on your phone. read more

This is a cozy spot for dinner. The food is very good here, but you can end up paying an arm and a leg for it. Pork Belly and Cheddar Croquettes: These were great. I think these were better priced and sized than the Rod and Reel Market Fish. Would certainly order these again. The pork belly was flavorful and prominent; the coating was crispy and the plating overall was nice. Rod and Reel Market Fish: This is a shared plate at $38. This dish was delicious, but the portions are too small for this to be a shared plate -- it is essentially a dish for 1 marked up x2. That said, the salmon was perfectly cooked and juicy; the crunchy coating worked perfectly here as well. Adding to it all, the accompanying fruit paired perfectly -- mostly blood oranges I believe. Great dish, mis-sized/mis-priced. Value: 1/5 Quality: 5/5 Quantity: 2/5 Service: 3/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 read more

Really wanted to like this place more but the food was very mediocre, maybe I just didn't order the right thing... I came here for a work lunch and ordered the breakfast burrito. I have eaten in most Two Hands around the country. I have eaten in thousands of NYC restaurants. I have never experienced a host as rude, incompetent and umemphatetic as Crystal. One of the nice males hosts told us we could eat our takeout order in an open table quickly. Crystal saw us, rolled her eyes and sneered. This was a staff miscommunication -- she clearly is an incapable manner. Instead of fixing it in a kind and reasonable manager, she waved her hand at us and asked us to leave the table without any explanation or apology. She even told us that nice male host who offered us a table was slow (she gestured a hand signal demeaning him -- alluding that he was scatterbrained). How unprofessional is it to say this about your coworker to a client? I won't be surprised if all the wonderful staff in this location absolutely hate her. All the other servers and staff in this location are wonderful, kind and competent people. She is the only one causing customer experience to decline because of her lack of manners and professionalism. I hope this restaurant can address the rudeness of Crystal and she learns to treat customers better. read more

Awesome spot!!! Mainly because we got the banana bread with espresso mascarpone. My Zoe's market plate bowl was fine - super fresh though and great quality eggs, quinoa, avocado, etc. Iced matcha latte was not that good - not much flavor and not sweet. I made a dinner reservation for a loved one's birthday. I use a wheelchair and was told that this location was wheelchair accessible. There's even a wheelchair accessibility sign in the window. We arrived to find out that while the main entry door is at ground level, there are several steps to get inside, and no alternate entry. We discovered this restaurant in May while going to the art gallery nearby. We really liked the food! We decided to go there again yesterday.
