such a cute vibe in the garden. just a little overpriced for brunch imo! loved the ambiance and ppl were very nice

The cutest gem! Went here wildly hungover on Halloweekend in need of a pick me up with some friends and was not disappointed. You get the old school diner feel and SPEED. Our server was so quick and so sweet to us. I got the breakfast burger and subbed out a side of hashbrowns and loved it. I love having a RUNNY egg on my burger, no full cooked eggs on a burger. It was literally exactly what I needed. And I'm so glad I made the call to sub out fries for hashbrowns because they were FIREEEEE. I did try one of my friends fries but tbh the hashbrowns are better. Maybe I just thought that because my head was pounding but either way I was happy with my choice. Also it was decorated so cute for halloween! Such a cute vibe and I'd love to come back and check out their bar!

We were staying at the SoHo Grand Hotel so this was very convenient for breakfast. Pricing is higher than a normal diner but this place is super cute, giving you the retro aesthetic. They have a Photo Booth inside we loved for $8! For me and my friend I spent about $60 for two meals and two coffees. My favorite item from the meal were the hash browns and my ice vanilla latte.

Great food and vibes, and super clean! Only wish they were a little more attentive. Definitely worth a drop in for a retro experience!

Delicious turkey club ordered for room service when staying at the hotel. There was quite a wait for the delivery but the sandwich was fresh and traveled well.

Stopped by for a bite with my mom. The diner is spacious and has a very retro vibe which is cute. The servers were friendly. I ordered the huevos ranchero. My food was good. Needed a little more flavor but not bad. My mom had an omelette with fries. The fries were bomb, the omelette was "soft which isn't my moms preference. The food is pricey but you are in soho so it is expected. Cute place.

This diner has such a cute a cozy interior. I love that the have a photo booth inside for you to take pics with friends and family. I ordered the vegan pancakes and had a latte on the side. My mom got the chilaquiles with a a latte as well. The pancakes were ok, but there was something off flavor wise that i couldn't quite pinpoint. Not sure if they make them with a protein batter, but I didn't care for them too much. My mom like the flavor of her chilaquiles, but didn't like that the chips had a chewy texture which made it difficult for her to chew them. I would say the food was average but the service and atmosphere is really great!!

    Farmer's Breakfast with Veggie Sausage

This was a great dining experience. My waiter Lukenny was very personable and funny and had exceptional customer service. I got the Famers Breakfast with veggie sausage and a side salad- very delicious, best eggs I've had. I was pleased the had vegan options for me and non-vegan options for my family. It definitely had a diner feel and was very cute and felt like home like community there. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to visit again once I'm back in New York!

The vibe here is definitely great old school diner vibes. The food that we got was made perfect. The service was impeccable too. The only thing I would say is that they definitely are participating in shrinkflation. The breakfast came with a single piece of toast and two slices of bacon. For what they are charging the plate should at least be full. They also do not offer refills on drip coffee which is a first.

The diner is very nice looking inside. I was actually surprised when I went in. It had a nice vibe to it. Felt like a high class diner and the prices reflected it. Service was kinda slow. It took longer than expected for each step of the process. Ordering drink, ordering food, getting the drinks, getting food, and finally the bill. Felt like I waited longer than necessary at points. I ordered the steak and eggs and it was about $30. I was able to get my eggs poached and my steak medium rare. The steak was juicy and good. It was topped with chimichurri. I enjoyed it but it wasn't anything special. I wouldn't order the steak again if came here. The pouched eggs were unimpressive. I was actually disappointed. I came here with two other people who ordered pancakes. The pancakes were big and they took leftovers home. They seemed to enjoy it. Overall I thought the diner was fine. Seems like a good date spot for the evening. I wouldn't come back for breakfast though.

    Montauk Tuna Melt
    Alesa W.

I ordered lunch online from SoHo Diner, and when I went to pick it up it was ready but the bag was stapled shut so I couldn't check my order. When I opened the bag back at my office, I realized they gave me 2 side salads instead of the 1 side of fries I ordered. The sandwich itself was definitely not what I was expecting for a tuna melt (read: a whole chunk of seared ahi tuna instead of a tuna salad), but it was a unique take on a tuna melt and definitely not bad. I was excited for a more traditional tuna melt and fries though, so the experience fell short for me.

While I can't comment on the wine list personally, I know they are well-known for their extensive selection. After placing our order, we were delivered the sesame pizza bianca, which is a complimentary starter bread with dinner. The bread was a nice size and light and airy with a perfect crust and a delicious, crusty sesame seed bottom. The prawns were our starter and came three to a dish. They were sizable, though since they are served with the head and tail, there isn't a ton of meat on them. That said, they were flavorful and juicy with a nice sauce and just the right amount of spice that didn't overwhelm the fish. The snowdance chicken was the star of the show! It was incredibly juicy and tender with perfectly prepared skin, so I was happy to learn they keep this on the menu year-round. It was topped with some spinach that was solid, though nothing special. We also ordered a side of mushrooms which came with a creamy sauce and fish roe intended to be mixed at the table. The roe wasn't fishy at all but added a great element of umami to the flavorful, well-textured mushrooms. Overall, the service was very professional, though I thought the pacing could have been improved as the dishes came out a bit slowly. I would also recommend ordering at least two dishes per person, as the three plates we shared between two people felt like just a touch too little food. I'm already looking forward to going back--I'd try the winter chicories salad or the veal sweetbreads next time, but I'm open to exploring everything since the quality is so high. I noticed a side dish listed on their online menu that wasn't actually offered in person, so it might be worth double-checking if you have your heart set on a specific item.

I made reservations after seeing their special hot chocolate on social media and had a wonderful meal! Started off with the hiramasa which was fresh and went deliciously well with the citrus-y and sweet cara cara orange, as well as the aji peppers! The castelfranco chickory salad was fresh, crunchy, slightly creamy and slightly tangy - basically everything you need in an appetizing salad! Their house sesame bread was fluffy and chewy with a good amount of sesame flavor without having too many seeds. For mains, the farfelle was very interesting and tasty! The pasta was al dente and the sauce was addicting! At first I was wondering if it would resemble a nut butter, but it was creamy with very prominent walnut flavors and interesting texture (perhaps from the blended walnut skin component?). The addition of burrata and other cheeses was perfect for a cheese-lover like me. The pork chop was flavorful, well-seasoned, and juicy. The leek and cabbage mixture soaked up all the sauce and I wish there was more! Their special hot chocolate with an espresso martini marshmallow was fire!!!! Hot chocolate was decadent, not too thick, and not too sweet. The toasted marshmallow melted quickly but definitely had coffee and alcohol flavors. The amount per serving doesn't appear a lot but appropriate considering how rich it is. The mascarpone dessert had a great balance of fluffy cream, extremely crispy phyllo, and crunchy nuts with a touch of chocolate and vanilla! For drinks, I was really curious about the bi lemongrass but they ran out. Staff recommended the semiplume, which felt like a beer, tea, and sparkling wine all at once! Loved the floral aroma and bitter tea notes. My partner's cocktails were also well executed. Staff were nice and friendly. We got seats right by the kitchen so staff often checked in with us, including the chef!! Vibes were intimate with the dim lighting and minimalist decor. Definitely want to come back to check out their chicken and other dishes!!
