    Crispy Chicken Sandwich

I've come here for brunch and lunch. They were able to seat a group of 25 of us at the door without a reservation. This time I went for my birthday dinner with 9 of us. It was a last minute reservation. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves on a Friday night at 8pm prime time, when people are lining up or cramped at other restaurants. The music was soft enough that we had a great time talking and catching up. I wasn't sure what to expect from the dinner menu, and was expecting your typical hotel fare - not terrible, not great. But everything was delicious! For apps: small portions to share. Beets salad, chicken, hummus. Pita had good flavoring. Entrees: Salmon & Branzino were amazing. Cute they served Farro with faroe island salmon. Branzino was a bit spicy. Beans were delicious. Shrimp tacos & burgers were good. Then they provided a whole cake for my birthday, that my sister negotiated down 50% off. All entrees were $17-$35. Pretty reasonable. Cocktails are $16. Wines are $15. Beers $10. Staff was very nice and didn't rush us to order or leave. Let us hang out as long as we wanted. Next time I'll have to book a party or something.

Anyone for a gelatinous cube of cream cheese?

After the second time the kitchen got the order wrong, I didn't bother sending it back again. Globalists should have a better option, but that's Hyatt these days.

Came on a Wednesday at noon with a reservation for four people. The restaurant is very spacious and great for large groups. However, service was slow when the place wasn't too busy, it took about 25 minutes for three burgers and a fish dish. I got the branzino which included pancetta, cannellini beans, baby spinach, and salsa verde. Everything was flavorful and the fish was cooked perfectly crispy skin/flaky meat. The lemon added a hint of acidity and gave the dish a fresh/light taste.

Steak frites, chimichurri on the side (I understand it normally comes *on* the steak.)

I had a ticket to see a 9:00 p.m. showing of Titanique at the Daryl Roth Theatre, so I scouted out restaurants nearby. I had no idea Bowery Road was "a hotel restaurant" until I came here to leave a review and read the other reviews! My meal was excellent, and my server (Chelsea) was attentive and professional. I had looked up the menu before visiting and decided to start with the salmon crispy rice and then figure it out from there. Chelsea was gracious and flexible to accommodate my vague plan for my meal. The salmon crispy rice was delicious -- the simple ingredients were fresh and delicate and high-quality and expertly prepared, and I loved every bite. Once I finished up the salmon appetizer, it was time to figure out next steps, and the steak frites called to me. And I'm so glad it did! The steak was cooked to a perfect (for me) medium rare, and it was just outstanding! The fries could have used a little something (a little extra salt or other seasoning), so I dipped them in the chimichurri. (Before ordering, I had asked Chelsea if the chimichurri is served on the steak and learned that it was, so I asked for it on the side, but I lovelovelove chimichurri so I ordered *extra* but on the side, haha.) Anyway, the steak was so good, I told friends that I didn't want to swallow each bite because that meant I would stop tasting the deliciousness! A word on the ambiance: This place felt like it was designed specifically for me. It was lively but quiet, super comfortable and laidback, with friendly staff and a music playlist that I wouldn't have thought to put together but was cool and low-key. I sat facing the window to 4th Avenue, and the door to the restaurant's outdoor seating was open, so I had easy access for watching people and their dogs who walked by. I'm from Indianapolis, so I won't be back all that frequently, but if I have tickets to a show downtown or am downtown for any other reason, Bowery Road will 100% be on my list of places to return to.

Make reservations! This place gets busy during rush hour. The atmosphere was perfect--dim lighting, relaxed, soft background music, classy décor, spacious seating arrangements. A huge bar. This restaurant is great for any occasion--date, family/friends outing, business meal, solo indulgence. The service was lacking. Our server was polite, yet he clearly couldn't have cared less. When asked for menu recommendations, he did not seem knowledgeable of the dishes, and just said "everything on the menu is good, everything is popular". Obviously! Why would we ask for your expert opinion? Had to wait who knows how long for him to take our order, while he was idly chatting at the bar, a few steps away from our table, not even glancing in our direction to check up on how were doing. Did not check in with us throughout our meal. And the restaurant was empty, so it's not like the staff were overwhelmed with work! The food menu is small and changes seasonally. $16 tuna tartare appetizer was a major disappointment. The chips were stale. There was barely any tuna on the plate, and it tasted tough and old. Definitely skip this "popular seller" on the menu. $20 burger was the saving grace of our meal. Get your meat done medium, so it's still juicy. Thoroughly enjoyed our burgers, which were well seasoned and tasty. Big portion too. The side of fries were crispy, yet delicate on the inside, and most importantly, not greasy. The only downside of the burger and fries was that they were on the salty side. Prepare to feel dehydrated and drink tons of water after your meal. Was surprised how unclean the bathroom stalls were. This restaurant is located in a hotel and the hotel's fitness studio is located right next to the restrooms, on the ground floor, below the main restaurant level, so you would expect the hotel staff to take care of their facilities. Also, the restroom is unisex, so anyone can use the stalls in the shared space, which might seem a bit unorthodox for some visitors.

I stopped in here on a whim from one spot to another. This is a hotel restaurant with a simple menu, but most everything I had was good. It was brunch, so I had the grass-fed skirt steak and eggs, which also came with breakfast potatoes. The steak, which I ordered medium, was seared just right and perfect inside. Salsa verde added flavor. Plenty of seasoning. The eggs were easy over and a wonderful, runny compliment to the rest of the dish. And the potatoes were crispy and also seasoned--nothing bland here! Expect the Bloody Mary. It was terrible and thin and a bummer of a drink. But the citrus margarita was refreshing and I had two of those. This menu has some basic salads, sandwiches, and a elementary wine list. Without tip, my big entree and three drinks were about 75 dollars. Everyone was pretty attentive and seemed to work together, and it wasn't crowded. Nice Sunday morning on the lower east side.

$17 garden salad. $12 more if you want chicken. Whhhhhhhaaaaaaaa!

Meh. Went for lunch, and was underwhelmed. First off if you're gonna charge $20 or more for a main plate it better be better than the $6 Gyro on 8th street and 3rd. BTW that's a high bar as far as I'm concerned as I am a big fan of street meat. Anyway, it wasn't. The presentation meh. The food meh. The service meh. The prices waaaaaaaayyyyy to high for what you get, and the atmosphere meh. So meh meh mehhy meh. It wasn't bad; it just wasn't worth it. Not going back, but will go to the gyro guy on St. Marks and 3rd.

We came here for brunch and it was amazing! We got the steak and eggs and the brioche French toast. Both items far exceeded our expectations. The steak was juicy and tender, the potatoes were surprisingly good, and the French toast had the perfect sweetness and texture. Service was also very good, everyone was very accommodating and quick. The vibe is very upscale but casual at the same time. 10/10!

I came on a Friday afternoon around 12pm with 1 friend and we didn't have reservations, but there was no wait. The restaurant is quite spacious and has a rustic charm - I love the aesthetics inside. They also have outdoor seating, which would be very nice when it's warmer, but we sat inside. Price point here is pretty affordable compared to some other brunch spots in the area and they have a selection of items on their menu with ability to adjust for dietary reasons. The staff were very attentive and provided amazing service for us. Special shoutout to Mayte, Oscar, Shely and Chef Fransico who made our experience here unforgettable! I will definitely be returning and spreading the word. Their next door bar is also a great place for drinks and has amazing vibes.

We came at a down time around midday for the restaurant week deal. The ambiance was really nice and neat with an attractive theme to the restaurant. I loved the wood and metal theme with warm lighting. The food was good but nothing spectacular, it seemed that a few things were not top of the line for a place that is 3 $$$ on google so thankfully the restaurant week deal made it seem more appropriate. The crispy chicken for example wasn't crispy as with the side fries, the tortilla for the tacos also seemed mediocre. Service was solid. If I were to ever go back it would be for the atmosphere.

A good meal if you're in the area. The room is spacious, located on first floor of a hotel. The cocktails were surprisingly good. The entrees were tasty and the service was attentive. We might return if we're in the area, but nothing stood out.

Delicious food, restaurant is attached to Hyatt Union square. Ordered both takeaway dinner and breakfast, a little on the pricier side but relatively standard - kale salad w/chicken (yay): would recommend! Baby kale, fresh vinaigrette and chicken breast add on was tender, moist and flavorful - avocado appetizer (ok): lemony avocado mash, served with thick crackers that weren't very crunch. Nothing super special - Bfast DIY omelette: served with salad, egg whites with oyster mushrooms and super chewy bread Super friendly service, would recommend!

I wanted to like Bowery Road. I really did, especially with its glowing reviews. But I found myself feeling like it was an overwhelmingly average experience and not worth the price tag. Here is what you need to know about Bowery Road: 1. It's attached to a hotel and in a super convenient location. The vibes are typical dark and trendy with New American fare. 2. The menu may be on the expansive side but the food is overwhelmingly boring. I tried to see out any strong flavor yet found myself bored. The pasta was okay and the burger was significantly less flavorful and delicious than I expected. Especially for the price. 3. Bowery Road is on the more expensive side of casual restaurants so be prepared. 4. The staff is nice and service is fairly consistent. I wouldn't recommend Bowery Road to anyone seeking a standout experience, particularly for the price point. If you're paying this much, you may as well head to a higher end restaurant for a better food experience.

The front part where you first walk in is the bar area with some tables. This restaurant is on the darker side and brings you back in time. Once you walk in further that is where the main dinning room is. This is also on the darker side as you can maybe tell by my photos. The wall paper and art around the restaurant is cool and there are some monkey statues around the restaurant. I was seated in a corner table in a booth area that seemed to be for at least 2-3 people. I thought for sure they would seat me at the bar area. I had a wonderful waitress whose name I think was Taylor but I could be wrong. I ordered the Monkey bread to start off with. It's a very buttery bread with truffle and parm cheese on top. I have alot of allergies and I was searching online if I could even have truffles as I have a nut allergy. So, I asked the waitress and she said she had never heard this. But, she came back to me and told me that White truffle grows near or like over where Almonds grow from but that, they don't use white truffle so I was all good. Well, this was super nice of her to check for me. I had no idea she was going to do this. She said the restaurant has strict protocols when it comes to food allergies. I then got for my main dish the double cheese burger with onions and pickles. To drink I had the cucumber martini. WOW everything was pretty darn good!! I passed on dessert. If you get a chance or a reservation pops up in your resy to go, even if it is for lunch..I highly say go for it.

Our server was…read moreincredibly warm, upbeat, and full of energy--one of those people who genuinely elevates a meal. I only wish I could remember her name because she deserves the recognition. We started with drinks, and mine ended up being a surprise standout. I ordered the coconut margarita, slightly hesitant since I'm not usually a margarita fan--but it completely won me over. It struck a perfect balance and leaned just enough into the coconut to make it feel unique without being overpowering. My sister-in-law, who's pregnant, had a non-alcoholic Ritual margarita and loved it, noting how convincingly it mimicked the real thing. Since we were sharing, we got to try a good mix of the menu. The monkey bread came first--definitely a splurge at $34, but it's one of those fun, indulgent starters that's worth ordering at least once. While I wouldn't call it the best bread I've ever had, I also wouldn't change anything about it. The crab rangoon was another highlight. Having it made with real crab made a noticeable difference, and the dipping sauces complemented it really well. It felt like a more elevated take on something familiar. For mains, the French dip was a hit. The meat was incredibly tender, the bread had that ideal crusty exterior, and the au jus was packed with flavor--I was very glad I ordered extra. It pulled the whole dish together. We also tried the smoked whitefish Caesar, which was the only dish that didn't quite land for me. It was a well-made, fresh salad, but the smoked fish flavor was a bit overpowering and took over the balance of the dish. Even though we were too full for dessert, the restaurant surprised us with a scoop of strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce to celebrate my sister-in-law's babymoon. It ended up being one of the most memorable bites of the meal--we're still talking about how good that ice cream was. We arrived right at 11:45, and by the time we left, the place was absolutely buzzing. It's clearly a popular spot, and for good reason. Between the lively atmosphere, strong service, and well-executed food, I'd highly recommend making a reservation if you can.

Other dishes were still phenomenal, including the Japanese sweet potatoes and the steak al limone, cooked to a perfect medium rare. Their take on a tiramisu was a delightful end to our meal. It had just the right amount of sweetness, and the crunchy wafer layers added a nice crispy texture. Reservations definitely require some planning since they open up seven days in advance. Perfect for a date night or a special occasion. Service was stellar. As an avid cookbook collector, I was excited that I could purchase their cookbook, signed by chef Angie and chef Scott, at the restaurant. Best souvenir on this trip! Walking in, it's a stunning restaurant and on this night, not too crowded which made us wonder why they would seat us next to the servers station away from dozens of much nicer tables. Note that I booked through Open Table where I have Gold status which I thought meant you get a better table. Next fail, we wanted to start with a Mediterranean dip, but they only offer that if you go with a $39 tray with multiple dips. Not something a party of two would be able to east, so we skipped apps altogether. Sucks too, because several tables had it and it liked amazing, just too much for two. For dinner I had the Yemeni Au Police Kebab, Filet Mignon which was absolutely delicious. The peppercorn Hawaii really sweetened the meat's flavor. So high marks for the steak. My wife had two small dishes which she wasn't as thrilled with, Grilled Artichokes which were too dry for her liking and Manti, which she liked. Main takeaways. Very pricey, beautiful atmosphere (if you get a nice table) and maybe a place that's better for a group than a couple.

We ordered 5 dishes and it was enough for 2 of us. Even though portions are small, it's actually pretty filling. The truffle mac and cheese was heavy but had a good amount of cheese to macaroni ratio. The truffle flavor was there but not super overpowering. My favorite dish of the night. Edamame dumplings were different as it had a cheesy flavor and the edamame itself wasn't noticeable. The sauce surrounding it was savory. Also a must get. Wish it was more than 4 pieces. Lucky noodle was super chewy and reminds me of a Chinese noodle soup with ground beef. It has a hint of cumin flavor even though not sure if that ingredient is in it. The steak was super chewy and flavorful but is not a must get. Popcorn chicken was the weakest because it was a bit too dense. Overall, this place was only $100 in total with drinks and in NYC, it's a steal!

Love the idea of Korean tapas! Every dish is reasonably priced. We got the popcorn chicken,…read moregnocchi, lucky noodle, paella, and the plantain for two people which was enough. The gnocchi and lucky noodle sauces were amazing. The gnocchi had a sauce similar to a teokbokki and had a nice kick. The lucky noodle had great texture and with the sweet onions, had a nice sweet and spicy mix. The popcorn chicken was cooked well. The paella was a nice mix between Spanish and Korean flavors. The only thing we didn't like was the plantain as it was just half a plantain and the dip it came with didn't mix well in my opinion. The drinks tasted stronger than I expected but that ended up with the drinks being a little bitter. Service was nice and quick here! This is a great spot for a girls night out. We came at around 6:30 PM on a Saturday and were able to get seated immediately. Overall, really good!

We had seats right next to the stage, and the music was high quality - present enough to enjoy, but never overpowering. It struck a really nice balance and added to the overall atmosphere rather than distracting from it. The food and drinks were just as impressive. The Seafood Box was fresh across the board, with a great mix of king prawns, oysters, lobster salad, hiramasa, and mussels. The Peekytoe Crab Cake had a perfect crisp on the outside, tons of flavor, and an excellent nori aioli. The standout for me was the Eggplant Zen, which was incredibly flavorful and well put together. To drink, the Toki Highball was light, refreshing, and really well balanced. Overall, a great experience with strong food, drinks, and ambiance.

From the moment we walked in I was hopeful, the girls at the window were great checking us in, but there was a slight issue and I felt that shifted our entire night. We sit down and the tables are TIGHT - we were sat right next to the stage and the woman that was on was GREAT... digging the vibe, super excited - my arm would constantly touch the girl next to us and we then started all talking to that table as well so it became less awkward but still... Drinks come, Ok - My drink I had to assemble myself which was cute I could make it too my liking, I just might have liked if there was actual alcohol with it... Then food, apps were Ok... The mains, NO... The steak had NO FLAVOR, not even bad flavor, NONE... Then the music changed, and the band that went on after was just NOT a vibe - what we had hoped would be a cute, cuddle in a little booth, get some music, good food, turned into a "are we done, lets hurry and go drink at the hotel bar" experience! Sad because I wanted to love this place, and maybe another booth where my ass wasnt on my neighbors chair, and the music was a different band might change this whole experience!
