I wanted an expensive little cocktail and that is exactly what I got. Also found out they had espresso martinis which I was ecstatic about! The staff and other customers were friendly. The lighting was very dim but gave a nice ambiance. I'm not sure about the food as I did not try it, but service at the bar was great.

Great service and nice hostess. Def not a foodie place, though fine. Kale caesar lightly dressed, pork belly all was fine but overcooked, as were fries. Arrived cold and over cooked. Burger was fine - very large. Lamb chops were a fav. Drinks were watery and not well made. It was a busy Saturday night though and it's a cozy spot. Would return for a drink and apo, and vibe. Rating is really based on food. Service and ambience more a 4.

Stopped in for a quick bite and a glass of wine while running errands on the West side town. They had happy hour going, place was empty.. bartender was decent. Greeted, took my order, checked in and that was it. The salmon burger was actually quite tasty. The fries were awkward to eat as they were a bit too thin to pick up with your hands or to eat with a fork. Ambiance is usually good at The Warren and one of my favorite spots outside of the West Village "bubble".

This place was really good and lively on a Saturday night. My braised short ribs were very delicious and tasted unique. However, they don't come with any mashed potatoes or veggies so when you see a side you like, order it on the menu. Others in my group had the duck pasta, burger, the salad, the grilled cheese and tomato soup. All of our dishes were good, but not the best value for a restaurant. Burger is overpriced. Even our dessert, the cheesecake, is more like a bite size dessert, not a big triangle piece that we were expecting. Tiramisu was delicious though. Service was fast and friendly, but be aware that on the weekends this place gets crowded and loud!

I love this spot. It's so convenient. Super close to the Park and right across from a citibike dock! Lots of natural light poring into the first few feet of the restaurant but get darker as you recede back down the hall. Perfect for anyone who wants a change in scenery from the bright day. There's a bartender there named Natalie who is super dope, really nice, and absolutely a sweetheart! Went back the next day in hopes to see her again (to no avail). The beer is cold and crispy and the oysters are delicious. Ordered the Warren Burger two days in a row .... If thats any indication of the quality ;) Happy hour is from 12-7pm Monday through Friday. Hope to see you all there!

This West Village staple delivers on so many different levels - everything from the happy hour specials to the food to unreal music selection was spot on! The wine list was extensive and the specials made it so I could try even more of their awesome drinks. The service was impeccable and each dish was beautifully presented! Some menu standouts were the brick chicken, the truffle Mac and cheese, and twice fried chicken - and of course the Madriguera cocktail!! This place has a fantastic vibe and is an essential stop for anyone exploring the West Village!

Came here a few months ago for their speakeasy section called "The Den at The Warren". This was tucked away in the cellar where the host would lead you to the back of the gastropub. There, you walk down a tight staircase where there's head clearance. The host will then open the doors to a speakeasy vibe room, which was dimly lit with one round table for a group and several smaller tables suitable for 2 or 4 people. The 6 course tasting menu is $125 and if you'd like to add wine pairing, that was an additional $65. They had an omnivore menu and a vegan menu for you to choose from. From the omnivore menu, we had the following from start to finish (see menu photo for details): Caviar & Bubbles Fluke Crudo Bone Marrow Duck Confit Agnolotti Roasted Lamb Loin Fig Pannacotta The chef would come out after each dish is served and explain each ingredients used and where the ingredients are sourced from and how it was prepared. Whether I retained all of that info is another question. Given how small each course was, my concern was if I was going to be full. I was surprised to find myself full after the final dish. Overall, it is a very intimate dinner, perfect for date nights, anniversaries, and such. I enjoyed every dish and made sure I savored each dish slowly as you know, this is not a cheap meal.

The Warren in the West Village has just opened up a new speakeasy space, The Den. My friend and I checked out their 6-course tasting menu, which is offered every Friday. We opted for the omnivore while they also provide vegan menu. They have wine pairing as well. Intimate ambiance, warmly lit tables and decent food. If you like wine and spirits, they hold tasting pop-up on Tuesdays. Perfect for a romantic date night. *Caviar & Bubbles *Fluke Crudo *Bone Marrow w. Escargot *Sourdough Bread w. Anchovy Spread *Duck Confit Agnolotti *Roasted Lamb Loin *Fig Pannacotta We enjoyed and appreciated the details they put in every course. Our top favorite was undoubtedly the bone marrow -- it literally melted in our mouth, garnished with a piece of escargot. As a bread girlie, the complimentary bread was fluffy and warm, perfectly served with the anchovy spread. For the lamb, it didn't leave a gamey taste, and the grilled potatoes and carrots on the side were delectable. The fig pannacotta was a nice and light dessert to finish off the meal. My second favorite of the night.

The Den at The Warren in New York, NY. Do you want to dine a secret NYC spot in the West Village? @thedenatthewarren makes that possible by providing a speak easy vibe to an impressive prefix dinner curated by Chef Juan Bautista. There is a vegan option and a wine pairing option-I highly recommend the wine pairing option! So much fun for a double date. The bone marrow with escargot was clearly my favorite! Pan Roasted Arctic Char

I'm officially obsessed with The Warren. My husband and I headed into the West Village for a spur-of-the-moment, early dinner. We spotted The Warren, conveniently located near the Christopher Street PATH station, and managed to snag a table on their cute, fan-ventilated patio. We were treated to friendly service, great food, and even better people watching. I ordered the arctic char, and my husband ordered the mussels. The mussels were particularly excellent, with a broth that packed a huge amount of flavor. The arctic char came with wonderfully crispy skin, a mix of wild and regular rice (though only wild was named on the menu), a pea purée, and a buerre blanc. I enjoyed it very much, though overall it was a little underseasoned. Had it not been for that, I would have easily given them five stars. Nevertheless, we had a great time and will absolutely be back. It was already hard to choose from many enticing items on their menu, so we look forward to returning to try more.

Every Tuesday, The Den offers a unique opportunity for enthusiasts: The Tuesday Tasting Series. This series focuses on a different theme each week, allowing you to explore different drinks from around the world. This past Tuesday, the theme explored a range of French wines, from champagnes to chartreuse. Each sip was thoughtfully paired with complementary dishes. The tasting also included informative insights into the wines' origins and characteristics, which I really appreciate learning. Tuesday Tasting Series: Maison Lapin x Frederick Wildman Presents "Champagne to Chartreuse" *Valentin Leflaive Champagne st. simon oyster - white soy vinaigrette / caviar *Famille Hugel Pinot Gris fluke crudo - grapefruit / fresno chili / pistachio *Pascal Jolivet Edition No. 2 Coteaux du Giennois mushroom agnolotti - burrata / crispy prosciutto / asparagus *Chateau Mont Redon Chateauneuf du Pape herb crusted petit filet - cauliflower purée / baby carrots / wine reduction *Chatreuse Dark chocolate cake - black peppercorn gelato This series is perfect for anyone interested in expanding their understanding and appreciation of different drinks around the world. Whether you're a seasoned wine lover or just starting your exploration, The Den's Tuesday Tasting Series offers an engaging and educational experience. The Den also offers a six-course chef's tasting menu on Fridays and Saturdays. Definitely worth checking out!

I found the hodgepodge of old-timey decor to be a bit kitsch, but to each their own. I came with a group on a weeknight with no reservation. We were seated immediately on a high wood table. Although the bar wasn't busy (there were plenty of empty spaces, small groups scattered throughout the area), the service was quite slow. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience. It's certainly a bar for a certain type of crowd, and the service was lacking, but maybe we went on a bad night. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll be served better than we were.

It's one of those spots that are simple/bar korean food forward with slight modernization/americanization and it might be best used as a place before going out to carb up, because the portions are large but nothing really stood out to me flavor-wise making me want to come back just to have the food on its own. The jajangmeyon was tasty although a little basic. The corn fritter was my favorite, as it was hefty and a little sweet with a nice crunch but didn't wow me either. The chicken and fries are what you would expect. I think this place is good if you are looking for volume/portion size but not necessarily great for a one on one date or dinner where the focus is the food. The frozen alcoholic drinks were tasty enough though I didn't get a buzz. This place has been around for a long time, and I typically love all of Hand Hospitality's creations, but can't say this one is my favorite. However, it has its own role in the community and definitely still think it's worth coming if you fit the demographic I described. The wait staff was nice and attentive, the vibes were good and the place was generally chic and modern; it was not hard to get a reservation.
