Heavenly Eggs
Amber P.

The food was good, but the service was lacking. It was after the lunch rush, so I think sometimes the servers are like phew let me take a break and then forget about us late lunchers. The deviled eggs were yummy, and the salad was good also. Not as spicy as I expected. Diet soda was a bit flat.

SLICE Buttermilk Pie.
Karla D.

I live and breathe for the buttermilk pie. That's all you need to know. Well, also, everything else is darn good too. Big fan of the chicken cobb salad as well as the original chicken sandwich. The food is always freshly prepared with lots of flavor and it kinda feels like you're in a real old school southern kitchen with every bite. We end up with leftovers for take home because the portions are generous. Good service. Good food. Big fan.

Vodka Chicken Parm, The Korean BBQ O.G., Szechuan Fries, and Deviled Eggs
Angelica L.

Rating: 4.1/5 [delivery] Wow, I forgot how massive these sandwiches are. They are definitely worth the price! Korean BBQ O.G. ($14.75): We chose the Dang Hot heat level, but we didn't really feel any heat. The burger was very saucy, so it was a bit messy to eat, but it was full of flavor. It was better than the first time we had it. Vodka Chicken Parm ($15.95) + Szechuan Fries ($4.15): We picked the Dang Hot heat level and it was the same as the Korean BBQ O.G. I thought the ciabatta bun would be hard, but it was actually soft. The flavors were delicious, and I loved the fresh arugula. The chicken stayed crispy and juicy even with all the sauces. The fries barely had any sauce and were pretty soggy so we had to air-fried them. The pulled hot chicken wasn't dry this time which was nice. However, we thought the Szechuan fries were much better the first time around. Two Deviled Eggs ($4.80): These were also better the first time we tried them. This time, they were just okay.

O.G. Chicken Sandwich and Regular Mac-N-Cheese
Kenny K.

I was really satisfied with the chicken sandwich from here. The breading struck a good balance between crunchy but still relatively easy to bite through, and most importantly was very tasty. The Mac n cheese was a very pleasant surprise too. I had to force myself to slow down so I wouldn't eat it all before taking a bite of the sandwich. The environment is very nice and casual. I was there on a Saturday after a UT game and most of the crowd looked like students and their families. My server was also very attentive and helpful in answering questions about the menu. I'm glad I went and can add it to my list of go-to places when visiting Austin

Inside was nice and clean everybody was so friendly service was very quick. My daughter and I both ordered the OG Korean chicken dang hot level of spice with the dirty fries . Both my daughter and I thought that everything was extremely flavorful. We will definitely be back nice portion size sizes really good.

QUALITY CHICKEN COOKED TO PERFECTION. GREAT PORTION SIZE (a real "Bang for your buck") and......Yummy, yummy, yummy!!! What more can I say?! Definitely our new "go to" spot for a casual dining, family friendly, experience. 6 stars from this mom of 3. 9 year old Jay Jay says "Way to go. He'll be back, because the skin was crispy and the chicken was moist". Special shout out to Gabriel the manager for his kind hospitality. Big hugs Y'all.....and see you soon. Finally, the location is great. It's just a 2 minute drive from our house in Westlake, and another 2 minutes to downtown. They have ample of "free parking" outside and if you sit on the patio, you can watch your car/vehicle. Safe area and clean atmosphere. A MUST GO TO IF YOU'RE COMING TO AUSTIN AND WANT A GREAT MEAL FAST. Thanks Tumble 22.......We'll be back!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

Southern Chicken Sandwich - Mo Hot
Nancy G.

I love coming to this location, their sandwiches are so good! Staff is always so friendly and considering how busy they always are we always get seated super quickly. The southern chicken sandwich offers a variety of spicy level options, Mo' Hot is my personal favorite if you like a kick of spicyness. The Mac and Cheese actually grew in me, at first it was alright but over time it just hit! The Lil OG sandwich is a good basic sandwich, not spicy at all. Overall great place to eat with friends and family, definitely recommend:)

This was the first meal we had after landing. I was referred to Tumble22 by a friend who was recommended by their friend. Anyways, walking into the restaurant, it's a smaller indoor place with a large patio for eating. I could imagine it being really nice when the weather gets cooler, but at 92 degrees outside, it was not for us. That being said, it's got a rustic/quirky design language and decor inside, with images of chickens and barn-esque things. Sitting down, we got to ordering. An OG sandwich and 3 boneless thighs for us, along with some sides: the broccoli salad and some ranch beans. The food came out really quickly, and it was fresh as hell. Shoutout to our server for bearing with us, because us foreigners can get annoying, I'm sure. Onto the taste. The fry was fantastic on this chicken, y'all. The sandwich came with pickles, slaw, and some sauce that was perfect. The crunch was crunching, and the juice was juicing. Great acidity from the slaw and pickles, and the richness of the chicken was fantastic. Textural flavor wonderland. Much to enjoy there. I also liked the thighs a lot. They were super tender (as they should be), and we got them a lil mo' hot, because I wanted to feel at least a little alive. Great cook as well and the breading was perfectly crisp and shattered in my mouth. Beans were pretty liquidy, but tasted great and porky. The standout side was the broccoli salad, though. It was super refreshing with the raisins and parmesan cheese. What a combo! If you're debating on sides, this is probably the one to get! What are you waiting for? Tumble22 must be the chicken for you!

We recommend visiting Tumble 22 during happy hour on Mon-Fri between 4-6 PM for the best value. This Texas chicken joint serves spicy fried chicken and tasty sides at a reasonable price. Our favorites were the Lil' O.G. and the broccoli salad. Both the sandwich and tenders included sides, which we appreciated. We recommend clearly noting on the menu that entrees include sides to make ordering easier and faster. There is a small parking lot and a large outdoor seating area.

Southern Chicken Sandwich Regular Mac-N-Cheese
Dustin Y.

The food was amazing. Everything had a great flavor and was cooked to perfection. The spice levels were accurate compared to their advertising. The customer service was very good. The manager and servers were outside laughing and giving the customers complete hospitality. One of the best customer service I have experienced in Austin. There really wasn't any negatives to this experience and that is why this place will always be one of my favorites in town. The only negative about the experience is trying to find parking. It is best to go during odd hours because it will be a decent walk to get there!

We sat at the bar, and I believe his name was Darby. He was serving us and mentioned that he had been working there for 12 years. I was…read morereminiscing about some memorable fried chicken I had in Tennessee, so we decided to stop in Austin and finally see what makes Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken so "world famous." We started with the fried green tomatoes. They didn't quite beat the unforgettable ones from The Front Porch Cafe at Dollywood, but they were still tasty and we happily finished them. I ordered the 2-piece dark meat while my cousin got the 2-piece white meat, both with baked beans, slaw, and white bread. The baked beans and slaw were both satisfyingly delicious. When my plate arrived with a thigh and two legs, I thought I had ordered wrong! Our wonderful server, Kamber, explained that the legs were especially small that day, so they have to serve two instead. The chicken was crispy, flavorful, and delicious, and I loved learning they use peanut oil. The fresh, natural quality definitely came through. And placing the white bread underneath the chicken? Brilliant--it soaks up the extra oil! Service was fast, friendly, and efficient even though it was a busy Friday lunch hour. Amber was great about answering our questions and regularly checked up on us. She even introduced us to their homemade Chess pie--a classic rich southern custard dessert pie--which we were too full to try this time, next time for sure. We'll be back, especially since there's another location in San Antonio. Next visit, I'm coming hungry for the fried okra, mac & cheese, and seasoned fries! Just wish they also have corn on the cob and corn bread as other sides options. Southern fried chicken craving: officially satisfied.

Turns out, the food was ready way before 20 minutes, he put mistyped the 1 wrong number. The bone-in chicken was really good. We got tater tots, one classic and one tingly-I usually love spicy things, but I preferred the classic in this case. The tingly was still good, but it tasted over seasoned. The papaya salad was good, but nothing crazy. There are some patio tables outside, but the bar next door had the tables reserved. It's okay though, sometimes an eating session in the car is great too. I would definitely come back! The bone-in chicken was a hit, so hopefully one day, I will be able to try the chicken sandwich and the nuggets next time and I would also make sure to see if they put down my number right, so I wouldn't have to wait any longer.

Thick pieces of juicy chicken with a wonderfully crispy shell. My husband and I got the 3-wing plate to share. We played it safe with mild (for my sake) and it was actually a pretty robust mild. We also got the fries on the side and I was impressed. The food came out pretty quick for what looked like an understaff kitchen and we were excited to start digging in. The sandwiches are pretty good, in our opinion still a half step behind Popeye's, but still pretty good. The sides were hit and miss though. The grits and cole slaw were good, but the fries were okay and the pimento mac and cheese was a miss, mostly because it felt like a bit too much spice for mac and cheese. Lastly, the peach cobbler was pretty good. Nice and sweet with a nice crust mixed in. For our first time we thought Hattie B's was decent and serves as a good, casual alternative to some of the more traditional sitdown restaurants around it.

It looked like the front parking lot had been freshly painted because every parking space was blocked off with cones. Everything appeared dry, so I wasn't sure why the cones were still there. That forced everyone to park in the back, which was already super congested. I mentioned it to the staff, but they didn't seem too concerned. Honestly, if I hadn't been determined to try this place--or if it had been any hotter outside or I hadn't gotten lucky finding a parking spot--I probably would've left.
