I stopped by Bird Bird Biscuit in Austin on Tuesday, July 14, around 1:00 p.m. I had just finished touring the LBJ Library and was heading out to Pedernales Falls State Park. This is a pretty cool local Austin joint, and with three locations around the area, I had to stop and try one after seeing so many good reviews. Ordering is a little different. You use the touchscreen kiosk under the covered portico on the side of the building. After you place your order, you enter your phone number, and it gives you your name and order number. Watch for the text message letting you know your food is ready, then pick it up at the front of the building at the pickup window. There's no indoor seating--just covered outdoor seating, which was perfectly fine. They do have a restroom, but it's for paying customers only. I can't remember the name of what I ordered, but it was a huge piece of fried chicken on a biscuit with bacon and sweet barbecue sauce smothered all over it. It was amazing. If that's representative of what they serve, I can see why this place gets so much attention. I didn't order a drink since I already had water with me, so I think I made it out of there for somewhere between $13 and $18. If you're in Austin, you've got to give this place a try. It's a fun local spot with excellent biscuits and a sandwich that's absolutely worth the stop. read more

Everytime I visit Austin bird bird is a must!!! I've been to 2 locations multiple times and they always knock it-out the park not only with consistent fresh quality food but outstanding customer service. This time we ordered 2 bird bird bacon biscuits and a plain biscuit with jelly. The biscuits are always fresh, hot, perfect balance of salted butter, and very tender. The bacon is plentiful, and crispy. None of that half cooked chewy stuff!!! The plain biscuit with jelly has this absolutely delicious strawberry jelly with chunks of yummy strawberries. The staff is always willing to help and assist in anyway possible even though it's more of a window service set up. After 5 visits and all 5 star I will continue to support such an amazing company/brand everytime I come to Austin!! read more

Amazing biscuit sandwiches! The blueberry jam was packed with blueberries and absolutely delicious! I tried a dough dough (donut hole made from biscuit dough) that was so tasty and filling. Service was fast and courteous. Outdoor seating made for good ambiance. One tip: they should occasionally throughly clean the dust off the tables. The bar top we sat at was a little grimy. I understand why this place is so popular. We tried the Firebird and Queen Beak, and both were fantastic. The chicken was juicy and the biscuit was so soft yet didn't fall apart. I especially liked the sauce on the Queen Beak and the sweet pickles on the Firebird. This location doesn't have indoor seating, so be prepared to sit outside. read more

My fiancé and I ordered a chicken biscuit with the peppered honey sauce and biscuit and gravy with chicken sausage. It was so good! It was filling. It was a good size. I was able to eat some that morning and finish the rest for lunch. The service was great. One of the staff members came out to check on us and ensure that we had everything we needed. Got this to go during the start of the cold storm coming in, super easy pickup at the window near Loro. If it was a nice day they have a great picnic area to eat at, but the weather wouldn't cooperate today, but the food did. The queen beak was awesome and I was really glad to get the sauce and honey on the side, as it kept it from being too messy and the chipotle mayo wasn't my favorite. The biscuits and gravy was creamy, thick and delicious... just needed a bit of hot sauce. Overall was great and I will be back for brunch again. read more

I discovered Bird Bird Biscuit during the pandemic and still love it here. I'm excited to see this local business grow from one to two and now three locations! I'm especially appreciative that it's down south closer to me. The owner himself gave me the pick up order my family placed. I know of him from his posts on instagram. Now on to what you came here for, the food! I have tried several of their delicious fried chicken and homemade biscuit sandwiches. My go to faithful is the Queen Beak with the chipotle mayo on the side. There is a reason they place napkins and wet wipes on the picnic tables because you will have sticky fingers. Not that I mind, I actually wish there was an option for extra spiced honey on my sandwich. This finger licking delicacy should be on regular rotation for your breakfast! read more

Bird Bird is still on point at their latest location next to Loro off South Lamar. Ordered the Queen Beak with sauce on the side. The biscuits by themselves are solid, but once you add fried chicken and hot honey, it becomes out of this world! read more

Ordered for pick up and had no problem parking. The bird bird bacon sandwich was a perfect combination. Biscuit was wonderful, buttery and flaky. Bacon was nice and crispy. Loved the sauce. Apricot sweet tea was refreshing, not too sweet. read more

Didn't even know they opened a third location. Got their firebird and fries. The fries are nicely seasoned with some spicy and are served nice and warm. This is their 3rd location I've been to and they still maintain the same great food across all 3! The fire bird is was so good. Spicy and flavorful with the freshly made biscuits. Parking is a bit tough since it's newly opened. But I think you can park in the lot where there are signs for Loro parking. Order at the kiosks and pickup at the pickup window. A very popular eatery and probably for good reason. But my Lovely Day egg sandwich was SPICY and very messy for a handheld sandwich. You have to wait in line to order at one of only two kiosks. Then pick up your order at the window which they note will take 10-30 minutes. It's pretty good, though, that they text you when the order is ready so you can roam around or hang out under the oaks while they prepare your food. I've grown up here in the south and honestly this biscuit is one of the best I've had. I got the queen beak! It was flaky but did not completely fall apart like some do, the chicken was definitely made with some love and was delicious, the honey and the chipotle mayo giving you a sweet and spicy taste that compliments the chicken so well.
