Want a McDonald's but without the awful pretentiousness and overbearing sense of you-don't-belong-here-syndrome? Look no further than the Mexican owned, staffed, and operated Regio. This truly is fast food, without the fast, but with the minorities with the amazing ability to cook food better than any American. Point to what you want and lay down a few "si, sis" and before you know it, you will become engulfed in a sea of chicken and green sauce. And the sauce, dear god man, the fucking sauce. If the green sauce ever entered the PR/marketing nightmare that is the hot sauce festival, it would destroy all the competition, hands down. This shit really is that f-ing good. I highly recommend a trip to your neighborhood Mexican fast food joint, as it will likely be some the of the best Mexican fare you will enjoy in this great city. Taking a green sauce bath. Gabriel

Simply average. Chicken lacked the depth of flavor typically found in rotisserie chicken from a Mexican restaurant. Salsa was ok.

The carne asada is $13 now. Insert fifteen eye roll emojis. Still tastes amazing though.

Delulu - Mango crunch salad and corn rib

Delulu

(1 review)

Rating: 4.3/5 [Delivery]…read more I found Delulu on UberEats (4.8 stars) and Google (5 stars) but didn't see it on Yelp. They were running a BOGO deal on Postmates so we decided to try it, and they did not disappoint! Generous portion sizes that could easily feed a family. The flavors were bold--sometimes a little overwhelming--so the whole meal felt like going from one extreme to another. Mango Crunch ($12.99): Lettuce, cabbage, kale, and mango salad tossed in green ranch, topped with LimeLu bites. This was yummy and could have been my favorite if it wasn't drenched in dressing. They added so much green ranch that I had to mix in rice to balance it out. Big Lu ($18.99): Comes with two chicken bites and two sides. The chicken was juicy, not super crispy after delivery, but still tasty. MadLu: Green curry, sour cream, and hot sauce. I expected Thai-inspired flavors since their sandwich version is called Mad Thai, but it leaned more Indian with the green curry. WaterLu: Hot maple, mustard, and smoked butter. I liked it better without the mustard since it was very strong and overpowering. Rice & Noods: Skip this side. The noodles were hard, and this side didn't add much. Fries: Nothing special, but good if you crisp them up in an air fryer. Corn Ribs ($5.90): Tossed with chili cream and spicy togarashi. The corn was soft, flavorful, and easily the best corn ribs we've had in Austin so far. Not sure which item the pickled cucumber, cabbage, and onion salad came with, but it was very sour.

We were seated quickly and our server was attentive and thorough. The restaurant was clean and aesthetically pleasing. I had the Korean chicken OG sandwich which was juicy, flavorful, and crunchy. The slaw had an especially unique and tasty flavor. My wife had the jumbo tenders with collard greens. The tenders and hot honey sauce weee excellent, but the greens were the star of the show. Perfectly seasoned without being overly salty. We got the chocolate pecan toffee pie to go and can't wait to get home and try it. We will definitely return

There…read moreis no one to seat you anymore and every employee is standing around not helping their customers. Tonight I was at the booth by the front door and our server was training someone new. She stated that they were splitting the section and they will both be our servers. Once our food arrived I tried to flag down the trainee multiple times to get condiments and a water. He looked at me and rolled his eyes and walked past us multiple times. As someone who works in this service industry that behavior is definitely unacceptable. Every server should be willing to help their customers, even if they are a trainee or not in their section (but in this instance, I was in his section) Some improvements might be having a host during busy nights like Thursday through Saturday. And training servers to be helpful and aware to every customer.

It's a chicken joint, with tenders, sandwiches, salads, and a decent variety of sides. I've often…read moredriven past it on my way to T22, and wondered whether to give it a try. Today, with a BOGO coupon in hand, I did. It's a counter-order fast-food type setup, but I thought it strange that the big menu board didn't mention prices. I had to search around to find that info, in a battered 8x10 frame on the wall. Hmm. $13 for a meal of 3 tenders and fries, with no drink or biscuit included? Seemed a bit much. I got mine to go, and asked for one order of original and one of spicy tenders, but at home, neither of us could tell the difference, so I guess they didn't give me spicy. The tenders varied in size from big to skimpy, but were fresh and tasty--though I would have liked to try the spicy type. The fries were also good, a nice medium cut, in between the dreaded shoestring and chunky steak fry. The sauces we got were good, but if you use a lot, looks like they charge "Just 99 cents!" for an extra tablespoonful. With my BOGO, the price seemed about right. But at their posted price point, (which seems designed to go up at a moment's notice) I'm much more likely to spend that much for table service and excellent chicken a few blocks further north on Burnet--or half that for Cane's or Popeyes, if I want to order at a counter and eat out of a box.

It is great paired with the rice, and the pickled radish is a good palate cleanser. However, the service from the male servers is consistently disappointing. Every time I visit when they are working, the service is significantly slower. I often see them standing around doing nothing while the female servers are running around doing most of the work. They rarely check in on the table unless food is being delivered, and getting the check takes forever even when they are just standing by the register. My party and I usually have to walk up to the register ourselves just to ask to be checked out. I feel bad for the female staff because they are perfectly attentive and seem to be carrying the weight of the service. Also, a heads up on their rewards program: it's pretty weak. You earn 100 points per $1, but you need 5,000 points just for a side of steamed rice. Spending $50 for a $2 side doesn't feel like much of a reward. I hope management addresses the service imbalance because the food is great, but the experience depends entirely on who is working that day.

First time trying Donkey MO's and I was so surprised how good it was... even for take out delivery! I ordered the 10 Wings combo with French fries . The wings was super crispy and still hot! The plain French fries was good but nothing special. It paired well with the wings and to dip it in the wing sauces. Flavors Soy Garlic: super delicious! Highly recommend! and holy donkey : my gawdddddd I died eating this! It was so freaking spicy I couldn't feel my mouth, started sweating immediately, and my stomach was turning. Somehow it was addictive and I was able to eat 2 before surrendering. This wing sauce is definitely for those who love spicy. it's hot! And that is coming from a person that can eat somewhat medium spicy. Do I recommend this place? I definitely want to try this place in person instead of take out. It was really good and I feel the wings were good size and the perfect amount of crispy even being coated with sauce. It's good! I definitely recommend this place ! If take out was great .. I'm sure sitting down at the restaurant and eating will be even greater!

Then menu itself was a bit confusing, so when one of us asked if it was possible, when ordering 10 pieces, to get 5 wings and 5 nuggets, she said YES. So, when we proceeded to order that way, she got all flustered and was like, no, no, no you can't do that! Oh, and then when we asked about any of our dishes coming with sides, only *then* did she suggest that we turn it into a combo. So, yeah, welcome to AI generation! (Needless to say, the two kids working were both on their phones a ton the whole time that we were there.) *It was cold outside and the A/C was on, so it was freezing. *Re. the K-Buffalo sauce: nothing very K about it! It was straight buffalo sauce. *Charging for a side of ranch sauce that clearly tasted like it came out of a bottle? Seriously? Lame-o. Other than the above complaints, we actually really liked this place. The vibe is chill and, as aforementioned, we enjoyed most of the food. The dumplings are 100% not homemade, but they toss them in a decent sauce so they can be more palatable (we would skip those). The fries are nice and crispy, and the brussels sprouts are excellent. So, so good, and a decent amount as well. The radishes are the typical ones you get at these joints, and they are a must. As for the main star, the chicken, it was as it should be: with shattering layers of breading and hot meat on the inside. The coating was almost a bit too thick, though. We liked the soy garlic sauce and just wished there was some actual Korean aspect to the buffalo. Prices were consistent with portions, and they do have respectable beers on draft. We have some quibbles, yes, so it's 3 stars for now, but we'll definitely be back because it's close to home and will hopefully have a more overall impressive experience next time.
