I love the food here. Been going for a min since I with around the corner. Today I asked for my receipt and noticed I was charged for bacon, EGG, potatoe, bean taco. I did not want EGG. So I calmly explained this to the cook. She then showed me how it was entered I said OK but...I did not order EGG so should not be charged for it. Now if course there is a slight commination barrier but we understand each other. She goes to get I assume boss. She then tried to loudly tell me this is the correct price. Then tried to enter it as an after 11 am taco, my receipt clearly shows 956 am. The lady wanted me to move from the register. Not happening. She wanted my food back that I clearly paid for. NOT happening. I asked for the egg I paid for. She didn't want to give it to me. Like WYD WTF I paid for it give it to me. So long story short. Ask for your receipt or don't if you don't mind paying for stuff you don't get. Oh side note. She thought I didn't understand spanish and was talking shit to whom I assume was the owner because I got in Facebook live to let their customers know they are cheating them.

I love this spot! They open at like the crack of dawn, 5 Am almost every day! Usually I'm pretty skeptical on eating food out of a gas station (standards out the window). Instead of junk food, this place is like a tiny kitchen right inside the store. They usually have breakfast tacos ready in the morning, but I like extra goodies on mine so they cook mine fresh on the spot. Decently priced, and super convenient! I drive from 10 min away just to get tacos from this place (even though I have plenty of options right around the corner).

Charging "after 11am" price for bean tacos listed as $2 under breakfast taco at 10am. Very argumentative about the 4 shreds of cheese costing them 50 cents. There is a 2.50 piece of paper above the migas that one would assume applies to the migas. They insisted that was their notice for the price. Refused to refund money when I was asking about the difference (I had handed my card and they'd run it as they mentioned the price Food is good, but just yikes on the customer service. The receipt specifically says "breakfast taco after 11am"

This restaurant is located inside of a gas station, I heard they have excellent breakfast tacos but I have not had them. But I will say that the beans and rice that come with the enchiladas are delicious. I got chicken enchiladas with green sauce, the chicken was kind of dry, Same with the tortillas. There wasn't much sauce on top but there was a bunch of cheese. I think this place may be better for tacos than meals. But overall not bad

I've driven by El Alma many times being in the Austin area, but I never went until last Thursday, and after surviving a brief monsoon, I was glad to get a few drinks and eat some good TexMex with my large party just before a wedding. The best way to describe El Alma is that it is TexMex that is Austinified. Everything feels a little more unique and special than your classic TexMex options. I started off with a Mezcal Margarita that put a little hair on my chest and got me going. My group ordered two of their Nachitos, which were these nice nachos. For my main entrée, I got 3 Al Pastor tacos on corn with a side of their rice and beans. Their pastor was served with pineapples, onions, and cilantro with limes on the side. They were great and I immediately crushed them all. I thought their rice and beans were pretty good as well and a step above the typical TexMex rice and beans. The server was pretty attentive throughout our whole visit, and I honestly have no complaints about what they had to offer. Pricing on the meal and drinks was pretty standard for Austin, and I didn't think anything really took me out of the experience. On top of that, for being in Barton Springs, there is quite a bit of parking. I would love to come back at some point in the future and hang out on their rooftop bar because that seems like a lot of fun. Shoutout to El Alma for being a TexMex oasis saving me from the MoPac traffic. RIYL: TexMex, but better than your average

I have not found a taco place that was phenomenal until I tried this place! The vibes take you back to Mexico with authentic tacos served simple, straight forward, and let the taco speak for itself! We were downtown for a concert at the Moody Theater and were hungry so we decided to walk a short 9 mins to Taqueria De Diez! The best decision made! Full disclosure... the establishment is located down a very DARK creepy alley (the kind in the movies where you shouldn't go down to get) but after overcoming that fear... this will be the best decision you make! Your tummy will thank you! Follow the outside "TACO here" sign. Go through the door and walk straight... this will get you through the line. Lucky for us on a Saturday night at 10:30pm there wasn't a super long line. We managed to grab two seats to chow down our tacos. You will be able to see the chefs cook the carne asada on the grill and the Al pastor on the spit roast being cut to be put in tacos. The smell was amazing and you know you're at a legit place! Ordering: -Check out their menu while waiting in line so you know what to order when it's your turn. -place order at register. They accept visa, Mastercard, Venmo, cash, but does NOT accept AMEX. - grab your drinks if you purchased some. Mexica soda, horchata, jimicama drinks, water , etc - give your ticket to the expeditor and tell them to go or dine there. The expeditor will ask you cilantro, onions, and salsa on a taco? Say yes. It's a must. The expeditor will tell the chefs to assemble your tacos. (I'm seriously so impress with how efficient and quick their service goes. We waited maybe 5-10 mins and got 5 tacos and chips/salsa. There was about 8 ppl in front of us but the lines go quick. If you ordered chips and salsa then you will get the chips from the cashier and the salsa from the expeditor. * 1 Al pastor taco on flour 4/5: love the fresh pineapples on it! The Al pastor had crispy pieces and was super tasty! It was really tasty. There were pieces of meat that was dry but the salsa helped and pineapple. Season was really good! I was in awed with how tasty it is! Definitely best Al pastor in ATXi had! * 1 Campechano on flour 5/5: wow best of both worlds! I had this taco second and loved the combo flavor! Juiciness of the carne asada and crispy frol the Al pastor. * carne asada on flour 5/5: juicy perfectly seasoned and love the green sauce on it! Sauce was creamy and paired well with the taco. It was so so freaking good! The flour tortilla is super thin and let the meats stand out. Loaded Smokey taco and was differently the best carne asada I've ever had! After trying the carne asada I definitely think it's better than Al pastor! I'm glad I tried the Al pastor taco first before the carne because I think the carne asada would have outshine the Al pastor if I had it first. It was a great end to the last taco! * 1 VOLCAN- couldn't try because it was sold out * chips and salsa 4/5: chips crispy and not oily. Salsa was super spicy but good. All tacos come with onions cilantro and salsa with no additional cost. Overall do I recommend this place? I truly wish I tried this place 5 yrs ago when I moved to ATX! I truly highly recommend this place! Do not wait 5 yrs to go try this place or you will be full of regrets! It's a simple taco but made right with complex balance and flavors! I love love love it and now will be thinking about these tacos! Highly recommended! Prices are reasonable and the tacos are made with love!

Twenty minutes later, we went back up to ask about the table and were actually told by the staff that they forgot about it. Finally a table was set for us and we sat down. We all ordered drinks and asked for water at this point. The water was brought, but we waited and waited for our drinks.
