These guys are top notch. They asked the right questions ahead of time and came prepared to secure my tricky old house. The setup and response couldn't have gone more smoothly. The software makes it sooo easy to secure and adjust settings on the go. Thank you to Ivan and John! read more

Absolutely the best. As soon as you meet John Jarvis you will understand all of these great reviews. He is honest, trustworthy, and knows his business inside and out. He'll help you understand what best fits your needs and will be there to back it up anytime you have a question or need assistance, even long after installation. You just can't go wrong with John and True Protection. read more

We had True Protection installed in our newly built house! This is our first alarm system and the entire process from start to finish has been smooth, educational, exciting and had the added bonus of great customer service from John Jarvis. The system it self is really easy to use with simple instructions and a phone app for ease of use when you are away. We plan on renting our house out during Austin events at which you can create the renters own passcode which you can track every time they enter the house or don't arrive. This is also great if you have a pet sitter so you know for sure they are showing up for your animals! Say you want to someone to go by your house and pick something up for you, you can unlock the door for them with your phone app! So many options! So far so good!!! read more

I spoke with several other security companies before deciding on True Protection, and I'm so glad I did. I have received excellent customer service and William, who installed my system, is an excellent technician. I hope the company knows what an asset William is to customers like me who expect professional, courteous customer service. He is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure the alarm system works perfectly, and that I understand how to operate it. My house had just been robbed before I called True Protection, and William was exceedingly patient with all my questions and concerns. Thank you, William! read more

John Jarvis at True Protection is absolutely the BEST in the security business and knows how to protect your home the "right" way! It is simply a privilege to do business with such a stellar, honest and reputable business. My husband and I PAID to get out of our old security company when we moved to sign up with John so we knew we were protected with the right equipment and reputable monitoring. Billy was incredible at installing and explaining our entire system. We now have peace of mind. Thank you John for all you have done for our family! read more

John Jarvis and True Protection are first class! Highly recommended by our neighbors, we didn't even bother to shop around! Awesome security system at an affordable price. John went the extra mile to make sure we had the additional camera set up just as we wanted and spent ample time teaching us how to use the system, the app, etc. He's super responsive, knowledgeable, and dependable. We highly recommend John and are happy to support a local Austin business! read more

I chose this local Austin, Texas company because you can call and talk to real people on the phone who are there for you. They guarantee their products and have come back to fix equipment without any hassle or charge. They offer everything the other companies do at competitive prices. I've been very happy with this company and would definitely recommend them. read more

They were very helpful and hassle free. John knows what he is doing and all about customer satisfaction. Highly recommend to anyone getting bids and comparing for services and equipments. read more

Our system works flawlessly, install was simple and quick but the best part is that when you use True Protection, you speak with John directly! Always! He's always easy to get ahold of and you can tell he and his team work hard and truly care about their customers. We love the peace of mind that comes with a security system but we also really love supporting this company. There are plenty of businesses out there who care about your money, but not too many who care about you! I urge you to vote with your dollar and support the right ones! read more

We recently moved into a house that was fully wired/setup for a home security system. Because of this, I decided that maybe it was a good idea to look into home security. I'm the kind of person who likes to do a lot of research into finding the right solution, and so the process began. I talked with a number of companies, both big and small. I talked with ADT, Guardian, Vivint, and a few local smaller companies, including True Protection. I also read as many reviews as I could find. True Protection was actually the last company I called. They had solid reviews online, so I figured I'd find out what they had to offer. I had a long conversation with John, and it was so refreshing compared to everyone else. The professionalism, honesty, and non-salesman-like personality was a nice break from everyone else. John was incredibly knowledgable about the industry, their competitors, and about their own systems and offerings. He didn't just want to sell another account, he wanted to offer us a great system that was fitting for our family at a very reasonable and competitive price. The decision was easy. Installation day was great. Very personable, very professional. He gladly answered all of my questions, and walked me through everything. I wasn't left with any unanswered questions or any unclarity about how anything worked. I was continually impressed over and over again as I was walked through how the system worked, and how to use it and program it to our needs. The system ended up doing a lot more than I expected it would do, and had some very cool and intuitive features. True Protection clearly values exemplary customer service, and they do a phenomenal job at it. They are not a company that will try and nickel and dime you for different features. They want to get you a great system at a great price, and provide a level of service that you won't get from the other guys. I trust that if you do your own research, you will find the same result as I did. Do yourself a favor and at least give these guys a call. I couldn't be happier with my decision to choose True Protection. read more

John was and is so great to work with. I am so glad we chose True Protection. He instantly made us feel comfortable and confident in choosing a security company. read more

I contacted Matt at True Protection based on otherYelp reviews. He was professional and knowledgeable. His company has been prompt and they updated my system. So far everything has been going smoothly and I would recommend giving Matt a call to set you up for your home security needs! read more

John Jarvis was great. The current security market is very confusing with lots of different offerings and new technology. Lots of noise to get through. I met with numerous security companies and did a lot of research online. John was truly the most helpful person that I met. John was very upfront and transparent and never seemed to have an ulterior motive (like many of the other folks that I met). The install was great and the pricing beat all other alternatives. Highly recommend. read more

I'd confidently recommend John at True Protection. He communicated well, and was very professional, as was the installer. They made the whole process of arming the house very easy. read more

John Jarvis is a "true" hero. After hearing about how my house was broken into this past Friday, he personally came out after a long day at work to install my alarm late into the night on Monday. I found their rates to be quite comparable to other companies-a bit cheaper than ADT and they are AUSTIN based. The important thing is that they don't treat you like a number. These guys are down to earth and want to make sure you have the best system to fit your needs. Give these guys a chance before you talk to some big Corporate company. read more

Excellent team from start to finish. I've had several security systems over the years and this has been the best firm by far. We received the right system for our home at a reasonable price. The owner is easy to reach and very accommodating and the installer was friendly, efficient, and did everything right the first time. We continue to be very happy with the service now that it has been installed for a few months. read more

Great business and great team! Easy scheduling, and we are loving our new security system.

My husband and I purchased our first home this last month and I was SO excited to get an alarm system. My husband works out of town half of the month, so I am home alone more often than not. I am also" that girl" that lays in bed at night, can't sleep because I'm scared, hears a noise, and starts thinking that someone is going to break in and kill me :). We have always rented, so I couldn't have an alarm installed until now. When we closed on the house I was ready to have the alarm installed the day we moved in. I talked to multiple security companies around Austin and was not too thrilled. I decided to go with True Protection after talking to John on the phone. He was very personable and seemed like a genuinely nice guy. He was very flexible setting the appointment, and even came at 6pm on a Tuesday, this really helped since I work from 9am-5pm. I was also worried about the cost, after just buying a house last month we couldn't afford to spend an arm and a leg. John didn't charge me an installation fee, he said he would tack that onto my monthly fee over our 3 year contract and the monthly fees are very low! We also had wiring on our house from the old alarm system that was no longer in use so that helped. He was very quick and had the alarm installed in a couple hours. He even put an additional touch pad in the bedroom after he was already finished that my husband insisted on last minute. I am very happy with the alarm system. I feel so much more comfortable when I leave the house and when I'm there alone knowing there is an alarm system. I also like having the extra touch pad in the bedroom (my husband insisted and I didn't think it was needed) but I am glad we did it. I can turn it on right before I get in bed. I feel so safe and I am sleeping great knowing that if anything happens to me when I am home alone true protection will protect me :)! read more

We can't say enough good things about True Protection. They have been fantastic to work with and have displayed the utmost professionalism to-date. John Jarvis met with us personally for a free consultation during which time he outlined the optimal set up for our home and walked us through their security protocols. He answered all of our questions quickly and effectively and ensured that my wife in particular was comfortable with the process. During the actual physical install, he took the extra time to walk us through all of the features and ensured that we were comfortable with its capabilities. It was very clear from the beginning that John and True Protection wanted what was best for their customers and worked with us to find the right package at the best price. We are extremely pleased with our system and highly recommend them to everyone. read more

We moved into our first house with a new baby about a year ago. The house is at the back of a neighborhood on a cul-de-sac and only has one adjacent neighbor. Although the privacy is great, I felt like we were sitting ducks for a break-in. John and True Protection to the rescue! As other reviews mention, the service is great, and True Protection works with your existing system. I never felt pressured to spend money on services or equipment. Now when I hear a "bump in the night," I just roll over and go back to sleep! read more

After my neighbor's car was stolen in the middle of the night, I decided it was time to install an alarm. I shopped around and chose True Protection for our home security needs. We were extremely pleased with the options and pricing presented. The install was quick and professional. It has been 2 months now and we are very happy with our system. I would highly recommend using True Protection! read more

As a welcome to the neighborhood, we recently experienced a home invasion. Our home had no security system. Not for long! John was very knowledgeable, utilizing more advanced technology than bigger companies. We give them 5 stars for customer service & installation.....John gave no pressure, just good info; they were quick to install, on time, cleaned up after & left no holes/ no need for patchwork, etc. even with all the cameras installed. 5 stars for technology, all of which works from our phones & user friendly. 5 stars for competitive pricing with lots of option. I love arming our house from my phone on the nightstand before bedtime. Zzzzz! read more

This is a long overdue review. We had our security system installed by True Protection back in January and were very happy to be dealing with a local company that truly cares about customer service. I first contacted John Jarvis to see if his company can give me a better bid than what ADT was offering. John was very responsive, informative, did not hesitate to match ADT's bid (offering a more advanced system for the same price point), and did not pressure me like other alarm systems salesmen out there. John was present during the installation and sat down with me to answer all my questions, went through the paperwork and the alarm app setup, and gave a basic tutorial of the system. What impressed me the most is the company's commitment to customer service, even after their job of installing the system was done. I've called him a couple of times already post-installation for questions and he was always very responsive. Very refreshing to be dealing with a company that strives to keep its customers happy even after their part of the deal is done. Will not hesitate to go with them for future security system needs. read more

I have had security for my home and business for over twenty years but have never felt "secure" about the experience or relationship. Generally it has always been a hard sell with lots of ties and very little service. When I had finally had enough I did a lot of detailed research and found True Protection. John's relaxed, honest and low pressure approach sold me from the start. My home system needed to be updated and even when I stated that financially I would not be ready for three months, he stood behind his original offer. For the first time, I feel good about my decision and would highly recommend True Security. read more

Awesome...helped me fix my problem over the phone. John was super cool and very knowledgeable. Definitely using True Protection again.

Love everything about our experience with True Protection. We bought our house in May and did some renovations. It's been kind of terrible so we were anxious to start a new project of alarm shopping but we were so pleasantly surprised. Our experience with True Protection and the overall installation of our alarm system has been smooth and easy. We love the alarm "face" and would recommend this company over and over. Thanks John and everyone at True Protection! read more

Very happy with my True Protection system, including the two cameras. John has been very helpful from the very beginning and has kept in touch to make sure everything is running smoothly (which it is!). I would highly recommend their system, which is intuitive and easy to use, and would especially recommend them for their great customer service. read more

John Jarvis did a great job in explaining the security system we were upgrading. The installation was on time and he personally did it. It has been over a year now, and no hiccups. We could not be more pleased and secure. Touch screen interface panels and it uses separate Verizon 3G-4G receiver which is very dependable versus in-house wireless connectivity. read more

Great service and system. From the first phone call to the install, these guys have got it down. And all at a good price. Not much more that I can say that other reviews haven't covered. But my biggest concern was them coming in and drilling holes all throughout my newly constructed home. And I didn't want gaudy equipment. No issues with True Protection. And they are locally owned and operated. How could you not go with these guys! read more

I had John at True Protection setup my home alarm system back in 2017. It was exactly what I was looking for and the process and installation couldn't have been smoother. I ended up putting my home for sale and moving into an apartment while my new home was being built. I reached out to John & Katrina back at True Protection and they got me over to Brinks who helped reduce my monthly payment for a few months. John told me to let him know when my home was complete and he would help get me set back up. I let him know I know that the cameras he installed were left back at my home I sold and he didn't even hesitate to offer to install them at my new home. I told John I preferred a different camera setup which was more expensive but John offered an option I was excited to accept. Fast forward to my new home being complete, I was worried that John wouldn't remember what he offered. I reluctantly reached out to him feeling I would be out of luck but John remembered our conversation and was ready to send someone out within 24 hours! This blew me away, it's rare to have someone be a person of their word. Especially with businesses making promises but John & True Protection proved to me that their 5 star rating isn't fake or bought reviews but they have earned and deserve every singe 5 star review they have received. The tech that came out to get me setup was Alex. Alex was another great compliment to True Protection and my experience. He asked my opinion and also gave me his professional opinion on my setup. After he had a game plan, Alex sprang into action and got my home all setup! Alex made sure I was completely satisfied with everything before he left. I can't thank John, Katrina, Alex and True Protection enough! I highly recommend John and the whole team back at True Protection! Thank you read more

John and Mo were great to work with. Very clear about setting out expectations, fair on pricing, and fast on installation. We had a break in a couple days before while I was out of town. The dog scared them off, but I certainly feel more at ease for the family. I went with them not only because of their reviews, but also because they're locally owned and operated and it sounds like they intend to stay that way. read more

Just what you want from a security company. Polite-True Numbers, customer service, the guy shows up, go to work, explain until you understand. Clean cut, on time. I would give 6 stars. I am happy I finally found what I have been looking for. read more

This review is long overdue but I'm glad I waited. I was very impressed with John Jarvis when I called TrueProtection but when installation time came, he was unavailable (he had a good excuse... his wife was giving birth that day). I was not happy with the team that came to my home and was left with a system that I did not really know how to use. I waited a full year before I called John back. He apologized and explained that the previous guy was no longer working for the company and he sent Ivan over to walk me through the system, especially how to use the app to manage the cameras. Ivan was knowledgeable, patient, and humorous and made me feel completely comfortable. I'm so happy that I gave John the chance to make things right and change my perception. I would highly recommend True Protection and John Jarvis' team to anyone and especially to technically challenged people like me. read more

We've been with True Protection for over a month now and we couldn't be happier. Their customer service is excellent (and is how we found them on Yelp). John Jarvis returned my call the very next morning to schedule a in home walk through, answer all of our questions, thoroughly explain our system options and give us an estimate. The estimate was reasonable and seemed on point with other comparable systems. Mo performed our installation and was very polite, professional and efficient. Our security system itself is incredibly easy to use and gives me a renewed feeling of safety in my home. Since our installation a month ago, True Protection has followed up several times to ensure that we were happy with our customer service and security system thus far. Their customer service is really top notch! We highly recommend True Protection to anyone considering a new or better home security service. read more
