True food is one of my favorite Phoenix restaurants when I'm seeking something healthy and flavorful! On every visit, the staff and service is 10/10. Incredible, personable and attentive! Delightful find. We wanted something on the healthy side. We split the turkey burger and the ancient grain bowl and were perfectly satisfied. Not to mention the Smokey old fashioned came in the cutest carafe. Bonus was the warm flourless chocolate cake w ice cream. I think there was Carmel too but it's all gone so can't check. Disappointing experience. Before I go into it, I want to acknowledge Benjamin (who I think was a busser). He was so friendly and attentive. He check in on us and made us feel like valued guests. My family and I went to dinner at True Food Kitchen today and our initial server took our drink order and told us he would be handing us off to another server which was fine. Our new server came, noticed our table wasn't served waters while we waited so he apologized and brought some out. When we ordered our food, I ordered my favorite; spaghetti squash casserole with shrimp. When our food came out my casserole did not have the shrimp, the squash was undercooked and only half of the casserole had sauce. That could be over looked because I just mixed it around and it was fine but when I asked about the shrimp our server apologized- it sounded like he didn't put that in so he said he would put in the order. The shrimp came out within minutes, unseasoned, hard and semi cold. It looked like they grabbed the cooked shrimp from the bag and attempted to warm it up. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with that I was told that's what their side of shrimp is and our waiter was called over. He apologized and said he would send the manager. The manager took about 15+ min tires to make it to our table. He whispered to my husband, said he was sorry and said we would get a discount. That's appropriated but what I would have loved is that while I waited for him to come over that a new dish with shrimp was sent my way. My family finished their meal before the manger talked to us and I left without eating. Not once was I asked if I wanted something different, sent the correct order or asked if a meal could be packed up for me to go. I did mention that to the manager and he still didn't take the hint. When the bill was brought to us, I noticed the discount but I did have to ask for my meal to be removed from the order as I never actually got to eat it. The fries with the buffalo chicken sandwich were also completely hard and overcooked but over anything else the way my food was handled was extremely disappointing. This is not what we usually experience while dining at True Food. The service and quality of the food was not what we expected. read more

This place has a cool concept and was good, but I'm not sure if it was worth the extra money. All of the food was good though, I had the bison pizza which was delicious and the Mac and cheese was great too. I also ordered the berry cerealtini, which was very strong. My friend ordered the cinnamon toastini but didn't finish it because it was so strong. Everyone helping us was nice. read more

I love this place! Very clean eating options. So much good food to choose from. My favorite is the O.G. burger. That grass-fed burger is so delicious. I tried the seasonal vegetables as my side which consisted of cauliflower, brussel sprouts, onions, and shredded squash. OMG these veggies taste amazing. It would be great if they kept them on the menu. Service from the team is really good with friendly smiles. I was with a group of coworkers after a long day on the road. This had the shortest wait time compared to the other spots so we went for it. Everyone who ordered an adult beverage enjoyed it. I had water so I can't really comment. The food-3 stars. Salmon was over salted and over cooked. The sauce is kind of weird tasting. It missed the mark. Weird pomegranate yogurt type vibe. The guac app is weird. It tastes good, but then we started choking because they put some sort of chopped up seeds in it. Service-they did not serve everyone together. So half our party ate when the food came. And I waited until everyone got their food. Which means my seafood was meh temp. It felt weird being stared at like I was the kid at the table taking forever to eat and no one can leave until everyone is done. Lol the server was nice and give us our guac at no charge "to make it a great time for our first visit," but it felt a lot more like sorry half your party didn't get their food. It would have been better if they just owned the screw up. It was ok. Nice to have a healthier option but I wouldn't go back nor pick it again with the other options in the same area. This is usually a guaranteed winner on whatever we order. I ordered spicy panang curry bowl. When it arrived it looked like a puddle. I ate half and kept thinking it could be better. My friend ordered the Chinese chicken salad and hesitated after 2 bites. It is VERY vinegar forward. I sampled and agreed and said don't even take the leftovers. Cudos, to TFK for taking this inedible salad off the bill. It needs a warning for the typical salad eater. read more

Went for Mother's Day brunch and the place was bustling with large groups. The staff seemed like they handle the high volume well and the wait time wasn't bad at all. The matcha is premade and a bit watery, but good over all. They had many healthy breakfast options. I had the ranchers hash and there was more sweet potato than anything else. read more

We went to True Food Kitchen Biltmore with a party of 10, including out of town folks as well as toddlers, and had a great experience. We had our own room in the back, but the doors were glass so we still felt like part of the restaurant. The food was healthy and delicious, and met our needs of plant based and meat eaters alike. Our waitress, McKinnon, was exceptional. She was not only efficient, but so kind and friendly. Our out of town relatives were very impressed with the whole experience. read more

If you get a too go order, make sure you do not get it for delivery. Ordered a $42 meal and it was missing the sides. Went to the restaurant and was told they were too busy...was not offered a discount on the missing sides I ordered. Maybe 30% of the restaurant was filled but I get it, it's hard to find competent people to work these days. read more

Our party of 15 visited here on a Saturday at 12:30. By 1:00 this fairly large restaurant was packed. Our server tried his best to be attentive, but we could see that all of the servers had their hands full with many tables. I wanted to try something different, so ordered the mushroom, spinach, and lemon-flavored ricotta pizza. I added a side of the Hatch chili ranch dipping sauce. So, while the pizza was good, I loved the dipping sauce more. In the future, I will add that side to any order. One friend had the tomato soup and loved it. Another said the ribeye was very tender and cooked just the way she asked. One woman, who had been here often, ordered her favorite -- the buffalo chicken salad. There were a number of good choices of nonalcoholic drinks. However, the restaurant does not serve sodas. There is plenty of parking in nearby lots as the restaurant is located in a shopping district. read more
