I know this because my brand-new car battery was swap out without my knowledge after having some minor repairs done to my car at this shop... I'm updating this review to 4 stars, but still deducing 1 star for my original experience. 4 months after taking my car to Triple T, my check engine light came back on for another misfire. It was likely a system error code that just needed to be reset. Other shops were going to charge me several $100 for diagnostics even though I already diagnosed the problem myself. Despite my car being out of the warranty period that Triple T offers, they took a look at my car, confirmed my diagnosis, and reset the codes. And they didn't charge me. My driver side mirror was damaged during a hit and run. Fortunately the damage was minimal so triple T was able to fix my mirror in under half an hour. Service was maybe on the pricier side of $60, but for the convenient location and speed at which my mirror was fixed, it seemed a reasonable price to pay. Would definitely use them again read more

I brought my 2015 chevy tax in they order motor that was never installed proper check engine light would pop back on a few days later my panel would say front right tire low but my back tire would be low engine never ran proper at least eight trips back there never ran proper had to replace same parts they put on two turbo's they blow out with in weeks then had to buy some parts again and they said take to chevy they need too re program it do i did it more expense. Still no change i brought code reader told them what codes popping still they did not fix right now cant even drive car they want 300 less than what I paid for motor and install again to fix sofiled court case let ya know results when lawsuit over one very unhappy customer read more

I had been coming here for the last few years, unfortunately, there has been an increasing decline in the customer service. I called early this morning to arrange a tow to them for my car that won't start. I am told he will have the person they use call me to arrange the pick up. 3 hours later, no phone call. I call to follow up and was told, that is wrong. We don't do that. When I said I would have to arrange my own tow, I was put on hold, he then came back and told me they are not accepting tow ins. For how long? We are to busy and not take them anymore. I will not be back and do not recommend a business this unreliable. read more

Tien (the original owner) is no longer at Triple T anymore & the work performance is trash!!! I took my car there & they fixed one thing & then deliberately messed up something else on my car & tried to tell me it would cost $800.00 to fix it! It does not cost $400.00 to put on a power steering line, nor does it cost $400.00 to put on a rack & pinion on a 1990 old school!! I would never recommend this shop to anyone ever!!! When the original owner was there I dealt with him for 15yrs because of his good honest work (good man, miss him), now that he's gone they are in that shop beating people out of their money & they'll mess up other things your car so you can bring it back & then over charge you!!! Blown Head gasket....frick! Couldn't take it up to bumfrick Lynnwood to my favorite guy. I don't think it would have made it..... ....My sweetie wanted to try a shop closer to us. It's always a gamble when you walk into a shop without a recommendation; this was a great turnout. Tien gave us a fair $35 diagnostic charge to determine the problem. Budd & co and Deere Auto charge upwards of $80.... They told us three days, and got it done in two. The shop is large and CLEAN. They stuck to the estimate price and were pleasant when I went to pick up the car. Tien even wanted to explain why our car was overheating; how it lead to the blown head gasket. It was clear, and I appreciated it. I would gladly recommend this shop to anyone in the valley or south-end. We plan on bringing another vehicle to Triple T when we recoup from this unexpected repair. IT'S A GO! read more

They've been able to work on my car quickly both times I've been there. Since I only speak English, I've had to look for the manager both times because he seems to be the only one who deals with the customers. The first time I was there I got a great deal because they charged me only 1/3 of what it'd cost elsewhere. I took the car back for a much bigger repair and the second time ended up paying at least 1/4 more than the reasonable cost. I also found out months later that they did the second repair incorrectly. I recommend shopping around for quotes to make sure you're getting a good deal. read more

Do not take your car to these people. They don't do good work. When I first went to this place it was good. But overtime I can see they are cons. Every time I took my car to them something else was wrong and it was always 350. I spent a lot of money there and all they ever say is " that'll be 350!" This guy is like a doctor of cars, and his prices are very reasonable too. He'll put his hand on your engine while it's running, like he's feeling its heartbeat. He's been doing this for almost 30 years, so chances are he'll spot a problem sooner than the lazy tech at the dealer or the guys who can't diagnose anything that doesn't throw a code. Like others said, he only charges 30 to 35 bucks for a diagnosis, and it's probably going to be more in depth than what you get at the dealer. I went to Budd and Co too, and they were totally useless for my issue, unlike Tien. read more

I called this place of business to see how much it would cost to have my oil changed there. I was told it would cost $55. I took my vehicle there, and when I dropped it off I verified that they would do an oil change on my vehicle for $55. A few hours later on called to inquire about the status of the repair. I was told that the oil change was complete and that I could pick it up. I again verified that I would be charged $55 for the service. When I got there to pay for the service a different person there processed my order. He told me that my charge was $65. I explained to him about how I had verbally spoken to another THREE times and was told that the charge would be $55. I even pointed out the person I had spoken to earlier. The manager person processing my order refused to listen to me and he still stated that I owed the $65 despite previously being told differently by the other employee. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated and how different employees tell you different costs. I appreciated that they could do the work quickly, and in a timely manner, yet I do not like how they mislead customers on the cost of their services. read more

I'm still traumatized by a missing bolt on one of my rear brakes. I brought my own rotors and brake pads and they charged me $500 for labor. I drove 30 miles on I-5 Seattle home to hear metal-on-metal sound on a side street as I arrived home. I called Triple T that a brake was not bolted in. The mechanic told me to drive back. I said no, it's rush hour traffic and unsafe. They drove to my house without any tools. One guy laughed when he say the brake was not bolted down. A guy didn't know where the closest O'Reilly store was to buy supplies, so I hoped into the car with him, while the other guy waited at my house. Minutes later, the guy at my house called for us to turn back because he found a bolt. When we arrived at the house, I asked where he found the bolt and he pointed to the coffee canister of random nails and bolts in my garage. Brake bolts are not interchangeable with household bolts. I was so afraid of driving my car after that and had to stop at Les Schwab to get the correct bolt installed. My rotors were scratched from the grinding and had to be fixed. Save yourself a headache, don't go here. Your safety is worth more. Brakes are the most important part of a car. They take cash payments and do not provide a receipt of work. It will be your word against theirs in a lawsuit. read more

Even with a few good reviews from friends of friends....I was skeptical at first as I rebelled against taking my car to the dealership! I called and spoke with someone who seemed confident to address/troubleshooting the issue - I visited the shop after my car was towed in, they treated me respectfully and offered solutions. Trusting the process I ended up with an amazing experience, service and solution to my wiring, battery and alternator issues for my Mercedes. These guys were quick, honest and affordable. The took the initiative to address a few other minor things with the car to get me back rollin. These are hands down the best mechanics in the area - I will be back for regular maintenance service from them. read more

I was hesitant at first to bring my nephews car in to have his clutch replaced. I call a lot of places for price quotes and this place was by far the cheapest!! The mechanic was so honest about everything. Got the clutch replaced for 360!!!!! That's including labor+parts! Totally coming back to have some more work done to a different car!!!! read more

I've brought my Mazda to Triple T's twice now and both times it has been a great experience. My sister also had some work done on her Toyota here too! His prices are much lower than many mechanics in the Seattle area. His quote for replacing belts came in hundreds of dollars less than many shops near me. He stands behind his work and gets it done the same day in most cases. I live up in Wallingford, but it's worth it to commute and drop my car off here. I just take the light rail back to Seattle. I've used Tien as my mechanic for several years. He is a straight shooter when it comes to what needs to be done and is it worth it to fix my older worn out vehicles. His prices are very fair. I only speak english and his mechanics don't, this has never been a problem as Tien is always around. I am always amazed at how quickly he can get a vehicle repaired. Today I needed my brakes done. These guys are all business. They barely stopped working to take my money. In less than an hour I was back on the road. I said in needed my rotors rotated; he could have agreed but instead he said they would work. I called this morning and before noon I was back on the road. I was very happy with the service.
