We stopped in here for breakfast last Wednesday after reading the yelp reviews and I'm so glad we did! Very friendly, prompt service, great kids menu and SUPER reasonable prices. I had scrambled eggs with really flavorful breakfast potatoes, plus a biscuit with homemade strawberry jam that was delicious. And for $5, the mixed fruit was the best deal. When you think of mixed fruit, do you think of those sad little cups with unripe melon, grapes, and pineapple? NOPE. Here it's a big bowl with blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, ripe peach chunks, banana, and apple. I even watched as the staff brought out a table and chairs in front of the restaurant so some customers that had a dog with them could enjoy a meal, too. Great customer service! read more

Trendy's use to be hands down our favorite breakfast place in town. Their food was made with quality ingredients. The recipes were creative, flavorful and always left us happy that we stopped by. This is something that's hard to come by in Redding. When we found out that the previous owners were forced sell, we were heartbroken for them. We were warned that the new owners weren't going to meet the same standards that they had already set. Well, today on Mother's Day, we took a gamble and picked up food for the first time since ownership was transferred. The food was absolutely terrible. Sooooo tasty! Their food always satisfies and the staff is so friendly! It's a small cozy place but I've sat with 8-9 people before. If there is a wait it's worth it! We first tried stopping at another place and left immediately. So glad we did. Trendy's was a wonderful find. From the minute we walked in we felt we were coming home. Everyone is so friendly. The service is unmatched. Luckily the food was as good as the service. We had the Reuben sandwich which was delicious. We also had the garlic fries. She warned us that they are very garlicky. She wasn't kidding. They're more like garlic with some fries. I'd say just get the regular fries. Still a great find!! read more

In my previous rating I mentioned that I was cautiously optimistic and gave Trendy's only 3 stars. I am very excited to update my rating to a very solid 4 stars. Upon a recommendation, I tried their carnitas. I was there for breakfast again and requested their Taco Omelette to be prepared with carnitas instead of the ground beef. They obliged graciously and was I delighted they did! Their carnitas are some of the best I've ever had. They are cooked slowly over 16 hours and infused with extraordinary flavors. So good that I suggested that this combination should be placed on the regular menu or, at least, be a regular featured special. I was looking for that WOW! factor and they came through big time. This will be a must visit restaurant every time I'm in Redding. Can't wait to try something new. Thanks Bryant K.! read more

Trendy's is a place I go each week with a couple of friends. We enjoy the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. The fair is very good with some healthier options that make going there a treat. Beast fruit side substitute of any restaurant I have ever been to regardless of price. Every thing I have tried there is very good. The garlic potatoes are awesome, but they are deep fried. That makes them tasty, but definitely rich. I really enjoy Trendy's and I will make a point of going there often. Good old fashioned American breakfast. Pancakes are offered as a substitute option for toast and I would recommend that option. The variety of syrups makes the pancake experience pretty fun if you are into trying different fun flavors. Corned beef hash is too potato based for me, but the apple sausage is very good as is the ham. Really good coffee. read more

We JUST had breakfast here for the first time this Sunday. It was RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING. I've lived in Redding 7 years and have never been led to leave a review. Service was personal and patient. The atmosphere was kind and bright. The food... This sounds kind of funny for a review, but I felt SO loved. The fruit cup with the omlete was georgous and perfect. The omlete was the best I've had in years. The homemade jam with the biscuit!! They even handed out Valentine stuffed monkeys to the littles. Precious. My ONLY negative is that is took an hour to get our food. So I reccomend not going on Sundays... If you do, just be prepared to wait. I was feeling grumpy waiting but then the food came out and all my sorrows were washed away Great Family, great story. So GRATEFUL you took the leap to open a great restaurant. Trendy's took over the old Gold Street Cafe, and is amazing. Great food, prices, staff, and decor. Seriously the best breakfast place I have been to in a long time! I was driving from Oregon to San Francisco and saw this place on yelp and that is the only reason we stopped. The service was excellent and quick for a sit down. I had ordered French toast (fluffy) and we also got corn beef hash and eggs, toast with homemade ham and a few other things.
