Just tried this on a friend's recommendation. Definitely quality food and quick friendly service. The roast beef in the French dip was pleasantly pink and tender. The bread had a great crust and was soft inside. Everything you want in a sandwich. The place is super clean, the restroom is well decorated, tables are shiny. It's all new and looks very welcoming. Right now there is a Christmas music track playing with a huge tree in the room. All in all, this is a nice place. I'll be back and I'm sure they will do well in a great location.

Bria, the shift supervisor at Sourdough Bread Company, and her staff are exceptional. The owner or general manager did an outstanding job hiring her. The bread is delicious, the sandwiches are delicious, and everything is great. I am not quite sure why some people left the negative reviews they did. The only thing I can think of is maybe it is friends or family of the competition. Ignore the bad reviews and try it for yourself. You will love it. And right next door is a place called Crumble with great desserts that you will love as well.

My first visit to the SBC. I was in the mood for a salad and was very pleased with their Cobb! I ordered the small and it was very filling and delicious. I was super impressed with the ample and fresh toppings! So much avocado, what a treat! I thought the lettuce could have used more cutting up though, as some of the pieces were so large I put toppings inside and rolled them up and dipped in the dressing like a wrap. Counter guy was nice. There was no wait and they made my food in just a couple of minutes. Inside is clean and new. Will return to try some of the other offerings like soup and sandwiches.

Update-- the manager reached out to me and rectified the situation. We went back for another meal and everything was great.

Cute place but uses yeast !! Not true classic sourdough! Very surprised but I did ask and the manager confirmed they use yeast to bake .

For the same price Panera charges for theirs, here you get a sourdough bread bowl that is at least 50% larger, softer, and more bready.

This particular location (Churn Creek Rd.) is the best out of all 3 stores in the city in regards to interior and general vibes. The prices are a bit high, but in contrast to its contenders, I know what I'm getting and I'm happy when I go. My personal favorite is the Peruvian Steak Sandwich (specifically with subbed-in sourdough bread) and truffle fries. Sizing of things like the fries admittingly have shrank since I first went three years ago sadly. I have yet to have anything bad off the menu that didn't please my tastebuds. (It also has working machines for their lemonade options compared to the College View location. Those drinks are an absolute huge plus!)

When asking if they use tamari or gluten free soy sauce, she said she wasn't sure and pointed to a list of salad dressing options that were marked. Not their rice bowls toppings - heads up- it's regular soy sauce. Also since I was asking all the gluten free questions, it would have been nice to be informed that the tacos were also served on flour tortillas. Not the cashier or the menu indicated this. Luckily I do not have a severe allergy, or I'd be furious. Obviously this place is a bakery, so there's gluten everywhere. I'm not mad, honestly. Just a little disappointed. Any information is best. I got the chimichurri steak tacos, which are covered in chipotle aioli - I'd honestly rename them to be chipotle steak tacos. Get zero chimichurri, the aioli completely takes over. I do like the steak isn't tough though, so still get some points for the attempt. For me, and my gluten sensitivity, probably won't be back since there aren't many options that are actually gluten free.

I'm a sucker for their Monte Cristo sandwich and my husband always gets their eggs. Their hash browns are perfectly crispy, and he likes their blackberry jam. The reviews were spot on because Trendy's did NOT disappoint. I love a good Monte Cristo and have tried a lot of them, but this one is hands-down the best I've ever had. The ham and turkey tasted like something straight out of grandma's kitchen on a special holiday, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the bread-to-meat-to-cheese ratio was absolute perfection. The service was just as amazing--Alma, our waitress, suggested I try the mango jam with it. I was hesitant (I'm usually a berry jam girl), but WOW... it was so good I ended up taking some home! My husband ordered the BEN sandwich and said it was delicious. He also had the fresh-squeezed orange juice, which brought back sweet memories of his grandma making it for him in a little amber glass when he was younger. Portion sizes are generous, prices are fair, and parking was easy--which is always a win. If you're passing through or local to the area, make sure you stop by Trendy's for breakfast or brunch. There's a reason they have so many great reviews!

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

They also serve some teas and coffees, including espresso-based drinks. They do seem to run out of some of their popular items, so be aware if you're visiting a little later in the day. The service is great, and the food doesn't take long to come out. I feel that the prices are reasonable (though for some items, they err on the higher side of what I'd consider the average price range). I find that I like their pastries a little more than their savory food options (the lemon blueberry danish is wonderful), and the coffee isn't bad either. There are a lot of snacks and small purchasable items displayed around the store, largely from their own or other small businesses. I like the selection offered, and I do think it's wonderful that they seem very supportive of small businesses. I would fully recommend stopping by for a nice breakfast or brunch, or even just to pick up snacks or dessert for a treat later in the day. It wasn't too busy when we visited, so sitting down to relax here was also very nice. Overall, a very solid spot with good food and a nice atmosphere.
