To start with, this is not about the employees or the food. Both of those are consistently good. This is about the owner of the store. I'm not sure if she's a new owner or what, but I've never seen something like this from management until this past year or so. When I was waiting in line today, she apparently saw a piece of meat or something that the girl on the meat slicer dropped, and berated her right in front of everyone in the store. It was uncomfortable for everyone. All of us customers and the other employees just watching, that poor girl getting yelled at in front of everyone, it was just terrible. After that the owner just grabbed her things and stormed out, too. Like a toddler storming off to another room after throwing a tantrum. Super unprofessional and immature. Honestly I don't know how this woman still has any employees. God knows I wouldn't work for her. This isn't the first time I've seen something like this either. I've seen her yell at at least one other person, and I've heard her make several rude comments either at or about other employees. read more

I was passing through town, and had to stop and drop something off to somebody who lives in town. They said, do you wanna meet at Jersey Mike's? I said sure! I love Jersey Mike's. The restaurant is spotless, and we were served quickly. We each had the regular sized roast beef and provolone. My dining partner had it on wheat bread, I had the rosemary Parmesan bread. we had our sandwiches "Mike's way, with onions, lettuce, tomato, spices, and Mike's "juice" (red wine vinegar, and olive oil oil blend.) Of course, I forgot to take a picture. The sandwiches were excellent. We both liked them very much. The proteins were generous, and you could tell they used a good quality roast beef and cheese. The veggies were the right amount, and I really liked the "juice". the bread was tender and flavorful. We each ended up taking half of our sandwiches home with us. I have a cooler in my car, and when I got home to Sacramento, the rest of the sandwich was just as good. Two sandwiches, two sodas, and one bag of chips, and the price was very reasonable. Especially for the quality of food, and the fact that we got two servings out of it each. I will be back. Thank you. read more

We have eaten here a few times and are always super happy with our experience. We like to get a Giant size sandwich and split it as it is well enough for 2 people. It saves money in this expensive economy! My favorite so far is the California Club. The sheer amount of items you can add without an extra cost is also beautiful and appreciated. All the employees are very friendly and have lots of answers when it comes to their menu. The store is really clean and perfect temperature for comfort. I also really love the riddle of the day. I ordered a Tuna Salad Sandwich for Take Out. The online menu did not offer a pick up time for me to select and I could not reverse my path online. So the order was very untimely. Whoever made the Tuna Salad apparently was not instructed to drain the Tuna and add mayonaise before putting it into the Sandwich. Every bite dripped onto my napkin and shirt. Had absolutely no flavor even after my adding more salt and then pepper. Lots of liquid. Very disappointing meal. read more

As usual Jersey Mike's does not disappoint! Fresh and tasty. Bread is always fresh. We ordered a variety of sandwiches with adds and deletes on the app and they got everything exactly right. My personal favorite is #8. But everything we've ever had here is good. Ready when we got there for curbside pickup. This was a couple nights before NYE. We didn't go inside so I can't speak to cleanliness. Every JM we've been to has been scrupulously clean, however. Employees always friendly, polite and helpful. Never feel rushed. Prices have not gone sky high like other places. We fed 6 adults for dinner for $60. They labeled sandwiches by the name of each person who ordered it, so there was no confusion as to who's sandwich was whose. Wish they had BBQ sauce. Overall, since we first ate at Jersey Mike's we have NEVER returned to Subway. Absolutely no comparison!!!!!! read more

First, if the owner of Jersey Mike's is as socially conscious as he seems, I like the place better already. For a sandwich chain I really like their bread, but it isn't the same as locally sourced bread from a company who lives and dies by the quality of their bread. They cut the meat in front of you, but it's a loaf of meat... I mean really most of these meats don't normally come in a loaf..... The end product is tasty and consistent, and the staff has been ebullient and engaging every time I've gone. First I had someone pick up my order. Where I usually get my order, they hand you the cup. This empty cup was placed in side. So no soda! Because the person picking up didn't know what the order was. We did order another customized with a name, it only had the customization written on the bag. First time ever trying jersey mikes! I went with my fiancé and our 2 kids. Right away, the woman with a septum piercing and glasses was extremely rude! She was mad and snarky with every question we asked. She yelled at me because they don't have pepper jack cheese. And when I asked what the hot honey tasted like, she rudely said, "Honey, that's hot." Worst customer service I have ever in my life experienced. As soon as I step foot in this place it is completely obvious that not one of these 4 employees wan't to be here. The female who made our sandwiches just straight up lied to us and told us that they don't heat up any of their meats, melt any of their cheeses or toast any of their bread (all the while she's saying this while standing in front of a flat top stove). Using the app is super slow, I ordered 1 sandwich and it took 18 minutes after the promised pick up time. As I waitlisted watched a line of 12 people order and have their food before my 1 sandwich. I could see mine was done and sitting unfinished on the counter while the girl did everything but mine. I know that most people read this for food reviews, I am going in a different direction. A shout out to two employees who know how to give good customer service, which doesn't happen often enough anymore. Being able to give the customer what they want is easy, and Logan and Brooke are great examples. When I started my order with Logan, he was polite, he listened and was funny. Next was Brooke and was a great listener of what I wanted on the sandwich, and I didn't have to repeat what I said. She was polite and funny as well. Two employees who know what the customer wants and helps you get it. Some people just get it, take it from someone who used to do the same. read more

I was using the app so I could make some timely appointments. However the 4 items were 15 minutes late, and no one said sorry were late. What was disturbing was that I got there early because Jersey M sandwiches are usually early. There was about 10 people in line so I wasn't worried but soon everyone had their sandwiches and I am standing near the counter. If there were issues I thought someone would come over say I am sorry or txt I had to approach counterwomen talking about how busy they were. I can appreciate that but then she left and at this point there is no one behind the counter. It would have been nice not just to say sorry but how long it was going take to get a sandwich. Its now 15 minutes past the time the app says you will have the sandwich. As I am standing there a associate goes and put a bag on shelf but he never looks at me or says anything like I know its my bag??? My sandwich is always ready on time and I have never had to wait, it's ready when I ask. Of the dozens of sandwiches I've ordered online, not one has been wrong. That speaks to the quality staff they hire, their organization and efficiency. While eating there and provides for a break in the middle of the day, the ability to take out and take out an order that as you asked and on time provides a bit of extra time in the day if you need it. The Redding location is impeccably clean and the staff is friendly. Sandwiches are made to order using meats and cheese that they slice while you watch. Vegetable toppings are always fresh. The "juice", an oil and vinegar topping is what separates Jersey Mike's from other sandwich shops. It's truly an east coast tradition. A lot of California sandwich shops both independent and chains offer an oil and vinegar topping option, but they never get it right like Jersey Mike's does.
