I really wanted to give 5 stars after our first visit to Five Guys a couple of days ago. We thought the food and dining area should have given them 5 stars. We really liked the menu and the variety of options and in my opinion the best fries ever. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, it is hard to understand why they would have excessively loud blaring music, not just a little bit loud but so loud we could not hear each as we attempted to have conversation across the table from one another.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Is the staff just oblivious or hearing impaired. This is so offensive and so annoying and so unpleasant that they should receive only one star, but I had to give at least a point for the food. But, really, where is management? And does management actually think that overly loud blaring music is an enticement. If they do, they are totally wrong, it is unbelievably offensive. Was craving a delicious burger after having a couple hard days of exercise and visiting Redding California. And they did not fail the deliver. The burger was excellent. Had cage and fries that were on point and the service was excellent smiles excellent greeting, and took care of me timely. This Five Guys is pretty easy to get to if your on the 44 freeway coming in from the East. We came here, just cause getting to Habit or In N Out was more of a hassle and not on our way. Plus I do like the fries here. My main problem with Five Guys has always been the pricing, cause $13 for a fast food lunch is too much in my book, when compared to Habit Burger or In N Out. Yes, the fries are the best at Five Guys and the burgers are good when you can get them to melt the cheese, but not at that price point. So, I decided to see if I can bring the price down to a reasonable level by ordering a little different this time. There was no line this time either. The burgers .... They try to shame you into a regular burger (2X patties), by calling the single patty burger a "Little Burger". Awww, you're such a unmanly man, you need a "Little Burger"! Girls don't have as much of a prob ordering a Little Burger. The regular should be called a Big Burger with TWO patties of meat and the single should be called a "regular burger" The bun size is the same as are the toppings. But the price really drops down ordering the "Little Burger" and you still get all the free toppings, like grilled onions and mushrooms and tomatoes you want. I got the Little Burger, no cheese, but extra grilled onions and grilled mushrooms along with lettuce, tomato, mustard and catsup. For fries, stay with the small! It's plenty for 2 people even! Big overfill on the fries always. Here's an insider tip: if you dine in and eat most of your fries, you can just go up to the pickup area and ask for a re-fill on the fries ... FREE! You get another big bag of super hot fries to take home if you want or eat right there. The fries are always super hot when served. I do like the Malt Vinegar available now ... just like Habit Burger! The price was more reasonable and we were able to finish the order of fries dining in, so we got another free! Having just one patty instead of 2, made the burger just less of a meat experience and more of a total lettuce, tomato and onion experience. I'll go the one patty way next time I come to a Five Guy's. read more

Ordered a small fry and burger also a dbl burger and regular fry for just over 32 dollars. No drinks. Opening the burger the buns were super soggy, uneatable for both burgers. Lots of fries, but so salty only a few could be eaten. All the wall plaques praising 5 guys you'd think this was a mecca of burgers. Think again people. Won't b back to waste money. read more

This has got to be the best burgers I have ever had! I love how simple and easy to understand the menu is, it is straight to the point which makes it easy to order. Their Cajun fries are very good with the right amount of spice and I would recommend getting a small order of fries because you get a huge amount of extra fries in the bag. read more

The food wasn't bad so i wasn't disappointed but it wasn't good enough to justify all the hype. I didn't really care for the cajun fries at all. As much as you pay for the food I expected it to be one of the best burgers I've ever had. 5 Guys is definitely not as good as Red Robin or In-N-Out burger. If you are looking for a mouth watering burger then I don't recommend 5 Guys, but if you're looking to spend too much for an OK burger then this is the place for you. read more

First time at any five guys and I have to say I was really impressed with how the burger came out. It was well seasoned and juicy. Got a bit messy but that's the fun part. It was first overwhelming to figure out how the menu works but the girl in front was kind enough to explain everything in detail. I ended up getting everything on in including the bacon with grilled jalapeños on the side. The large fries could feed about 3. Plenty. The only downfall is the price. Five guys has amazing quality burgers with a wide selection of toppings ranging from jalapeños and barbecue sauce to many other combinations. I'm sure some of my issues/complaints about 5 Guys may be what others like about them, but I was very disappointed. 1 Prices were way too high for what we got. $4.49 for a small malt, come on now. 2. The french fries were greasy/soggy with grease, unpeeled and you could see what looked like field dirt/goop was still on the skins. 3 There was so much fixings on the burger that it was very difficult to not squeeze the fixings out. 4. I will give 5 stars for the food and the service to REGULAR customers because I've been one. However, they are not pleasant to Door Dash drivers when picking up orders. This Easter 2019, they have so many pick ups. Seemed that they were one of the only places open that people wanted. I heard one worker (young male with glasses)saying ....... "They just keep coming and coming, when will it stop?" Well I hope you know this keeps YOUR JOB! IT GIVES YOU HOURS AND MONEY TO PAY YOUR BILLS KID. I get it, I've worked in fast food.. it's hard sometimes and probably only a minimal amount over minimum wage but come on, we are trying to make money on the side. OK so I'll preface with this: I get that covid-19 has affected all of us in negative ways, especially local businesses and particularly restaurants. I have worked a good portion of my adult life in the restaurant and retail industry, I know how hard, how frustrating it can be. That being said, the way I was treated at Five Guys tonight was ridiculous. Tonight I was that guy. You know, the customer that walked in near closing time. Trust me, I didn't wanna be that guy but here I was, being that guy. I have 3 kids at home that wanted Five Guys so off I went, trying to get take out burgers near closing time. I showed up at 7:55pm. They close at 8:00. Cringe. I check, the open sign is on, I see a customer being rung up, I decide to head in. I'm guessing from the time I pulled in to the time I walked in was maybe 2 minutes since I had to dig out my mask and get my phone off the cradle. I figure I walked in the doors at roughly 7:57pm. So I stand in line, looking at all the awards and other decorations adorning the walls while I wait for the guy in front of me to finish ordering. The cashier girl and one other girl cooking plus myself and the other customer were the only folks in the store. Here's where it gets interesting. Once the cashier is finished with the customer in front of me she gets my attention and tells me they are closed. I thought I misheard her and said "what?" She spoke up and said "I'm sorry sir, we are closed." Not sure I was hearing what I was hearing, I tuned around and pointed at the open sign, which was still on, and said "oh ya? Why is the open sign still on?" to which she again replied "we closed at 8:00 I just haven't turned it off yet." Now I'm sure. Now I'm sure I'm getting pissed off. I pull my phone out of my pocket, it says 8:01pm. I start walking toward the front door and held my phone up and said "no, you want to close early I guess because it's 8:01 now and it was before 8:00 when I walked in here." She stared, I left. I won't be back. If there's one damn thing you don't do in food and retail work is open late or close early. It is unacceptable from a management perspective. You open and you close on time. When you're the employee that has to make food late, it sucks, I've been there. Many times. I hated it, but I also did my damn job. That's the funny thing some kids don't seem to get about jobs, you don't have to like them but you do have to do them and if you don't, someone else will. Managers and customers don't have to care if you like doing the job, they only care that you do them because one of them wants to buy a product and the other one wants to sell a product and if an employee screws that process up, neither of them are happy. I'm sure not. Given everything going on this last year I'm betting the owners and managers wanted to sell me enough food for a family as much as I wanted to buy it so it really sucks that kid chose to do that. read more
