We stopped here TWICE in the same weekend driving to/from Klammath Falls OR and Sacramento CA. Perfect distance/timing for a food and break. While the shopping center has plenty of shops and restaurants in the area, I picked In N Out because I know they are very good with handling gluten allergy requests. Their protein style (lettuce wrap) burgers are consistently perfect as are their fries. Despite seemingly always being packed and busy, they somehow manage to keep it all together and running smoothly. Wow! I had no idea Redding was popping but they have everything around this area! Great stop during a road trip. I always go inside, cause it's a waste of gas to be sitting in line for that long with the motor running, and it's just hot in the car. The lines move fast so no biggie there. Animal style double double and fries for me please. Service was efficient and it's just like any other In N Out, which is a good thing! The inside was clean and cool, just the way I like it. Here's a tip for eating burgers. When the meat is served on top of the lettuce and tomato and other veggies, before you slide that tastyness into your mouth, turn it over so the meat is on the bottom. Why is in n out so consistently good everywhere? Stopped by this location on the way to mt Shasta from the bay. I got a cheeseburger and my partner got a double double. The diner was about half full thankfully so we got to eat inside, not in the hundred degrees heat outside. Service was quick as usual and we were on our way. I've had a lot of In N Out over the years, A LOT. And I've been to many many locations, so many that I know the men's/women's restroom in the Placerville, CA location is actually flipped. Anywho, needless to say, I'm a fan through and through and I'm writing this review because this location provided one of the most well executed burgers I've had. Even my wife commented as to how well executed the burgers were on the night of 6/29/2023. Real talk, I could tell that the folks that made our burgers actually cared and paid attention to the assembly. Errything was in it's place and in the correct ratios. Sooooo often I get a half head of lettuce in my burger, such that I often skip the lettuce at In N Out. Not that night, lettuce was in perfect proportion. The pickles on our animal style burgers were distributed evenly as were the requested chilies. The patties were cooked just right and my bun toasted a bit extra as requested. Keep up the good work! Not the best in and out Burger. Many customers not wearing masks and employees not enforcing covid-19 policy. Burger was a bit heavy on the bland tasting tomatoes. I ordered the fries extra crispy. What I ended up with was obviously the residue from the other fries--tiny broken pieces and mini crushed pieces. Such poor quality is unusual for in and out Burger. The main reason for one star, not three, is the covid-19 risk that one accepts by entering this restaurant. Lastly, the bathroom was a train wreck. While in a road trip felt like in n out and happen to see this location right off the freeway and I've never been disappointed eating at any of the in n outs I've been to so I will say one thing on this spot we arrived around 1pm and there was no line at all which is definitely a first and absolutely amazing . The lady at the register was really nice and fast only took a couple minutes for us to get all our food .
