I was just over at the Lowes's getting some stuff and already made a stop at Home Depot, so it's time for lunch! This Habit is located in the same parking lot, well sort of, as Lowe's so just went over after working up an appetite after walking all over those hardware stores. I haven't been to this Habit Burger cause the prices have been going up to where I get a better deal at Applebee's and get served at the table for $9.99 including a drink! But I'm here, and I do love that Double Charburger with cheese and extra grilled onions added at no charge. I'll skip the fries this time, gotta cut back on the carbs! Our orders got taken fine and repeated like a good trained cashier should. I got the buzzer thingy and got seated at a nice booth. There's out door seating but it was too cold this visit. The buzzy goes off and we go up and get the food. Just water for me this time. The burger looks really good! My first bit into my Double Charburger with cheese was wonderful. I close my eyes and let that cloud of happiness come down over my head .... yes, I love this! The cheese was all melty this time and the extra grilled onions really made the whole flavor explosion go off! I rarely get to go to my favorite burger spot and The Habit is the place. I was quite saddened by today's visit though. The food was lukewarm when it arrived. The burger had pretty good flavor but the bun was somewhat overdone. The patty was not large and overall, the delicious flavor that I remember of the burger, was not there as it had in the past. The fries were lukewarm as well. The chocolate shake was the highlight. For 5 people, it was over $100. I really don't know if I would return to this once favorite of mine. read more

Stopped in with my daughter for a day out treat. Neither of us had dined at a Habit Burger before. We received a friendly greeting when we entered a beautiful and clean dining area. They were patient with us as we browsed the menu and settled on there $10 meal deal of half a smashburger, chicken tenders, a side and drink. We didn't wait long and took our food to go. The burgers were delicious with a lot of flavor, but quite messy. She had a side salad which was standard, and I had the tempura green beans. I loved them! They weren't super greasy and had great flavor. We also really enjoyed the chicken tenders as the chicken to bread ratio was perfect and they were also not very greasy. We have been regular customers at the Habit as the hamburgers have been consistently good. Where we run into trouble is when we order something else on the menu. A few days ago, I decided to try the "beer battered wild Alaska cod fish sandwich even though my partner had tried to discourage from doing so. Then when I received the fish sandwich, I was horrified, it no longer resembled beer battered fish it was about 1/3 of the size of the fish in the picture and it was a dark brown color looking more like a hockey puck much smaller than the bun and when I tapped on it, it sounded like I was knocking on wood. I immediately took it back to the cashier who replied she could do nothing she would have to talk to her manager. When she summoned over the manager her words were, "she didn't like it," when what I said was, "this is unacceptable." Actually, what I should have said was, this is 'inedible.' The manager mumbled something like do you want another one, so I said no just give me a hamburger. Needless to say, by the time I got the hamburger my partner had finished his hamburger and so our pleasant and expensive dinner out was unfortunately a disaster. And to add insult to injury, it is worth noting that the fish sandwich was $11+ and the hamburger was $7+, so I was due a refund of the difference which of course I never got. One more reason for one star is because the tables were filthy as was the floor underneath. We dampened paper towels with water to wipe off one of the tables. Here's my point the Habit Burger does well enough with hamburgers but not so well with other items. The fish and the chicken bites both had the same issue as though they had been dropped in the fryer then forgotten about likely because they were busy grilling hamburgers. Even the sweet potato fries tend to be overcooked or burnt. Obviously, there was no quality control because it is unbelievable anyone would serve items literally cooked or fried beyond recognition. Habit Burger is supposedly all about quality and that is only believable if the quality is consistent. Maybe it's time for corporate or the owner to get a handle on the failures at this restarant. read more

So disappointed! I have not been to Habit in quite some time due to how expensive it has gotten. Having a gluten sensitivity, I can only get their salads off their menu. The Santa Barbara Cobb salad has always been a favorite of mine, and Habit has completely changed it! It's terrible. With the price and changes to their menu I will definitely not be returning, and do not recommend anyone giving this chain their money. If a corporation is going to purchase a chain of restaurants, keep their menu the same, do not change it! read more

At their prices, we ordered one charburger with raw onions and pickles . Also ordered a crispy chicken salad that we would share. no drinks, cups of water. An extra salad dressing is another dollar. Reluctantly the mgr gave me an extra fork and another cardboard holder so we could share. My burger came totally dry, meat, pickle and onion only. Cost, Pennie's under $20.00. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. We have eaten at this location many times. This visit was very disappointing. I went to order (only a few people sitting at tables, and no line) and was told it would be a while before they could take our order unless we used the kiosk. So I used the kiosk. I ordered the sirloin steak sandwich, and a few sides with additional honey mustard and additional avocado ranch, which I paid extra for. Asked to add napkins on the kiosk as well. Order came, and sirloin sandwich had gray toned meat (no char) that was raw in the center. It was not at all warm -- cold to touch inside. They took it back and when it was returned to me, it was still gray on outside and still pink at center, although less pink than before. Again, barely warm. Seriously, it looked microwaved. Sweet potato fries were burnt, and we had to ask for the additional sauces, and even then never got the avocado ranch. Employees were rude and unfriendly. Very disappointed. Photo is AFTER the sandwich was supposedly recooked. I did not eat it, as too much raw juice soaked into the bread, which was dry and did not seem to have the garlic aioli either. Not happy to spend over $40 for food poisoning on a bun... Also, if your restaurant is going to offer "family boxes", you might consider staffing up. The food is always good and fresh but I hate how strict they have become with the sauces. I paid for 2 ranch and then wanted the fry sauce (which wasn't even an option to select on there self order system) went up to get my food and asked for a fry sauce and she told me it was going to be .60 cents or I could trade one of my ranches. Ended up having to go back to get my wallet and pay for the sauce. You'd think after paying 34 dollars for 2 meals they would just give you the sauce. read more

I have to revise this review. While I was unhappy to learn the purpose of selecting this particular restaurant was for the unavailable chocolate malt, I was told, "We only have shakes." when I began to order. I almost walked out. But I know Habit makes a good burger, the way I like it (pickles and mustard only), and I wanted to try their onion rings. So I ordered those with a chocolate shake. And everything was great. "Char" on the burger, bun was fresh, onion rings perfectly cooked and crispy, the shake was amazing. You know when you are alone and use the straw to Hoover up every last bit in the cup? Yeah, I did that. So, sure, I wasn't happy to see the "malt" option on the cup, but the food was beyond good and the service was quick and friendly. My apologies for the original two star review. It was undeserved. Sure, the service was fast and food was good. But o came here for a malt. When I searched "chocolate malt" on Yelp, Habit Burger came up. I saw a review which talked about a malt and referenced five guys which no longer serves malts. Guess what? Neither does Habit. read more

I was craving a chicken salad sandwich, so I went into the Habit. Unfortunately, they didn't have that on the menu (my bad). So I decided to have a grilled chicken sandwich. It was expensive, but I decided to get it anyway There was one couple in the dining area, and noone in the drivethru when I arrived. Even so, not one of the 4 employees came to the counter when I came in; I was told to order from their little computer instead. I did, and it was not that difficult; however, I was a little surprised that it asked me for a tip! Not only asked, it was difficult to circumvent giving one! Even with only two other people in the restaurant, it took 10 minutes for my name to be called. The employee placed the tray on the counter and walked away before I got there - no interaction with anyone whatsoever! Yet they asked for a tip? I was in the restaurant for about 20 minutes. Not once did I see any one of those employees cleaning a table (though the couple left during my stay). In fact, another couple came in when I was about to leave and cleaned the table themselves before sitting down. These guys are getting a good wage - about $16.50 more than I got when I worked fast food - and yet I got nothing from them. I will NOT be back - too expensive (I can get a good meal from panda express across the street for the amount I paid for just a chicken sandwich) - and they greet me when I come in and actually talk to me! This used to be my go-to for lunch during the workweek. A grilled chicken sandwich on wheat bun, teriyaki and grilled onions with a side of green beans. But during Covid the staff became pushy and unhelpful. The green beans are pretty worthless without ranch. Twice I ordered online (Covid restrictions) and arrived to pick up my order. Twice I asked to confirm there was ranch in the bag, and twice I was told (with a condescending attitude) that it was in there. And twice, after driving back across town there was no ranch. The attitude was the icing on top. I used to go about twice a week. Now I just don't go. Lunches have become too expensive. I have been going to Habit for a decade, including this location and have never even written a review for any restaurant. In those ten years or more I've never had to pay for sauces, but this time only the fries came with ranch, not the chicken bites or tempura green beans. It's one of my regular spots because of my ranch-a-holic family. I don't mind paying for ranch if they at least fill up the cups. I couldn't even get bbq sauce for a burger or extra dressing for a salad without paying. I was just at another location and didn't experience this. The employee explained, without prompting, that they could get fired because they had previously given out sauces. I have experienced this type of ownership in past years when I used to work in food service. I probably won't eat here again, there are other places to eat. I'm giving this a 1 because the fries were good. I ordered a salad here and the base (lettuce) had been frozen. It was still frozen when I got home and I ended up throwing it away. The burger was coldish and pretty pink in the middle. I waited 25 min as expected. The person taking orders was telling everyone it was a 25 min wait. Then reluctantly taking orders. It was crowded I'll give them that. This Habit is nothing like the Habit Burgers in other city's. We go out of town and I assure you those habits are not serving frozen salad.
