    Bacon cheeseburger and milkshake!

I recently visited Five Guys in town, and I must say, it's a burger lover's paradise! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is kept very clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and unlike In-N-Out, their burgers are highly customizable with over 10 toppings to choose from. The juicy, perfectly seasoned beef patty, nestled between soft, pillowy buns is simply irresistible! The fries at Five Guys are legendary. Cooked in peanut oil, they're crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. While the fries might be on the expensive side, the portion is three times the size of what you'd get at In-N-Out and much better!

This Five Guys is pretty easy to get to if your on the 44 freeway coming in from the East. We came here, just cause getting to Habit or In N Out was more of a hassle and not on our way. Plus I do like the fries here. My main problem with Five Guys has always been the pricing, cause $13 for a fast food lunch is too much in my book, when compared to Habit Burger or In N Out. Yes, the fries are the best at Five Guys and the burgers are good when you can get them to melt the cheese, but not at that price point. So, I decided to see if I can bring the price down to a reasonable level by ordering a little different this time. There was no line this time either. The burgers .... They try to shame you into a regular burger (2X patties), by calling the single patty burger a "Little Burger". Awww, you're such a unmanly man, you need a "Little Burger"! Girls don't have as much of a prob ordering a Little Burger. The regular should be called a Big Burger with TWO patties of meat and the single should be called a "regular burger" The bun size is the same as are the toppings. But the price really drops down ordering the "Little Burger" and you still get all the free toppings, like grilled onions and mushrooms and tomatoes you want. I got the Little Burger, no cheese, but extra grilled onions and grilled mushrooms along with lettuce, tomato, mustard and catsup. For fries, stay with the small! It's plenty for 2 people even! Big overfill on the fries always. Here's an insider tip: if you dine in and eat most of your fries, you can just go up to the pickup area and ask for a re-fill on the fries ... FREE! You get another big bag of super hot fries to take home if you want or eat right there. The fries are always super hot when served. I do like the Malt Vinegar available now ... just like Habit Burger! The price was more reasonable and we were able to finish the order of fries dining in, so we got another free! Having just one patty instead of 2, made the burger just less of a meat experience and more of a total lettuce, tomato and onion experience. I'll go the one patty way next time I come to a Five Guy's.

I've never had a hot dog with tomatoes and peppers on it before, but it was so good. The spice complimented the hot dog well. Neither of us were a fan of the potato salad but if you like a spicy potato salad, you might like it. We will definitely get a hot dog from there again though! There was a bit of a line but it went by so fast. I guess that's why they're called Fast Weenies lol. The two women working were super nice as well!

I got a Casper Dog with everything on it and a potato salad. When you state homemade for 42 years, there's no way I'm not trying it! This is where my review is going to differ from the majority that I see here and maybe I just have different tastes !!?? but I wasn't happy with the food at all. The hotdog itself had a weird consistency and the casing was strange, making a squeaky sound against my teeth when I bit down. The toppings were fine, but it was really messy and kind of offputting to have a ton of cold toppings with a lukewarm hotdog. Costco hotdogs are better in my opinion. The potato salad was OK. I can see see how people would love it and it's got a good spice to it; however, it wasn't my thing and actually left my tummy feeling a little yucky after eating everything. Great concept, but I don't think I'll be back .

I don't fear the street food. Some people do. As Thucydides said: The bravest are those who see…read morewhat is before them -- glory and danger alike -- and go out to meet it. I'd like to think that's me, but Aristotle was probably closer to describing my kind of bravery: Moral excellence is a habit......we become brave by doing brave acts. Ari, true dat, because I've practiced eating the street food, and it's made me brave. In a prior Yelp, I praised the street-food vendors in Portland for producing the best fast food I've ever tasted, hands down. Plop me down in Vientiane, Laos (please), and first thing I'm doing is checking out some street food, Bourdain-style. Busy day, I was at the Post Office and hadn't yet had lunch at 2:00. I was on my way from the P.O. to Mike's Barber Shop. I was starving. I saw the hot dog stand sitting in front of the Post Office..... Soggy bun. Ancient steamed Polish dog that the proprietor nuked back to just above ambient temperature. Available condiments: yellow mustard and catsup dispensers, and little packets of mayo -- that's it. The mustard dispenser was empty after one pump. Odd taste to the Polish dog. I felt sick for the next six hours. Not food poisoning, but just that queazy feeling where your stomach is saying, "WTF? :::urp::: WTFF?" Two comps come to mind, one familiar to many readers, and one perhaps less familiar: (1) Costco serves up a better Polish Dog with a better selection of condiments. Hot Diggity Dog comes nowhere near meeting this modest standard. (2) Fast Weenies is little more than an immobile hot dog cart where you can get spicy mustard, onions, sauerkraut, jalapeños, and home-made sun tea. Fast Weenies leaves Hot Diggity Dog choking in it's dust, and it's not even on wheels. I don't feel like being nice, because the owner of this fart-cart isn't even trying. Run away.
