Yummy bbq pork bahn mi! Will have to say - I may ask for additional meat next time, doesn't come with much. The spicy version is definitely that! Tried BTC for the first time last week as a treat for my daughter! The woman at the window was helpful letting us know what they were out of and we ordered a Guava Lemonade with Peach Pearls. I've always loved this spot, but the drive-thru service has slipped lately. Twice now I've waited 10 minutes at the window, only to be told to come inside for my sandwich--without so much as a "sorry for the wait." My overall experience here has been pretty mid. The Thai Tea is decent, but you can find the same, if not better quality just down the road at the other boba spot. My main issue is that they constantly run out of boba around the same time every day. That feels like poor planning, honestly. And sure, running out of ingredients happens, but here's the kicker, boba is literally in the name. It's half the reason you go there in the first place, is it not? So WHY on earth am I still paying full price when there's no boba in my drink? Not a big fan of boba but decided to try their milk tea since some Yelpers were raving about how amazing it was . Unfortunately my milk tea was way too sweet. I only took two sips since it was too overpowering for me. I also tried the thai tea and wasn't a big fan either. Despite the drinks being a big disappointment their banh mi was decent. This afternoon we stopped here to grab some food. In Vietnamese cuisine, Bánh mì or banh mi is a short baguette with thin, crisp crust and soft, airy texture. It is often split lengthwise and filled with savory ingredients like a submarine sandwich, and served as a meal. I ordered the ham and steamed pork banh mi, and my partner ordered the chicken with jalapeno and sirracha. I had ordered jalapeno and sirracha as well, but after I tasted his I am more than happy that they had forgot to put those extras on mine. We also ordered a Thai Boba Tea and Green Apple Slushi, both were delicious. The sandwiches are a little small, but what they are lacking in size they more than make up in flavor, and quality. I have been told that it is best to call your order in for pickup as they can get backed up at times. I will certainly be returning. read more

Service was friendly and fast, and they seemed to be following the COVID guidelines, they also have a drive thru, which was pretty neat to see for a boba/banh mi place. Their pickled veggie was kinda weird, think it was just pickled shredded carrots? Don't remember seeing daikon. When you think of Redding, the word "Boba" definitely does not come to mind. However, this little hidden gem of a place is a nice welcome to this part of Northern California. Centrally located on the corner of Churn Creek Road and Hartnell Ave. in the heart of Redding, "Boba Tea & Coffee" offers a nice little variety of tea, coffee, shakes, and of course what they're known for, their Boba drinks. As I take a much needed break from work (since I do work in this area from time to time), I come here on a Monday afternoon in December around 12:45pm. Parking is fairly simple as they also offer a drive-thru for those who don't wish to leave their vehicle. As I proceed inside the quaint little building, I notice I am the only customer that arrives. As I glance at the menu, my eyes light up with joy as they offer Banh Mi sandwiches! The interior of this place is quite cozy and charming. Inside you will find several small stationary chairs that are great for reading and enjoying a cup of coffee or Boba. Additionally, "Boba Tea & Coffee" has a nice little shelving display that showcases small artwork, candles, and a sign that reads "Live, Laugh, Love". There are also other modern tables where several groups of people can sit and enjoy their treats. However, no outdoor seating is present. Since there is only one person working here (it looks as if she takes the orders AND makes the food/drinks), I proceeded by ordering the pork Banh Mi sandwich (for $3.75). The sandwich itself comes on the traditional Vietnamese baguette. Inside packs a variety of vegetables that includes carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, white onions, and Julienned Daikon radishes. And of course it offers the smoked BBQ pork flavor that I have grown to love at other Vietnamese eateries. I don't order any Boba as I already have a drink to compliment my Banh Mi. However, since I'm in this area quite frequently, I probably will give their Boba drinks a shot as well. My sandwich is ready within 7 minutes. Since I've been spoiled eating at many other Vietnamese sandwich shops (primarily in Sacramento and the Bay Area), the size of this sandwich is noticeably smaller than what I had expected. However, I was starving to a point where that didn't make much of a difference. One bite and the flavor was decent. All of the vegetables packed a nice punch while there was a generous amount of pork in my Banh Mi. The food was good but a bit small as I was a tad bit hungry when I left. Overall, I would have to rate "Boba Tea & Coffee" a 3.5 stars instead of 3. I think with the cozy decor and interior as well as one person taking the orders while making the food and drinks, I'll have to give this place credit where credit is due. I'll probably be back sooner than later as I want to try a nice cold Boba drink. But for the month of December (which is the month I'm writing this review), I'll stick to my hot beverages! read more

So disappointed to have to post this review. I have been buying bánh mì from this place twice a month for the past 3+ years, and I don't know what happened to this place. I get that it became more difficult to get the BBQ pork, and that sandwich option was taken off the menu. But overall there has been a slow degradation of quality and quantity of ingredients. The bread is no longer authentic, they are stingy with toppings, they are forgetting to toast the bread, and frequently make mistakes on my orders (forgetting Sriracha, cilantro, etc.). This used to be the best place, maybe even the only place in town for authentic tasting bánh mì, and eating them brought back fond memories of my childhood. Unfortunately, I think this is the last bánh mì I will order from Boba Tea, and I will no longer recommend this place for authentic tasting sandwiches. This place has somehow now become the Subway of bánh mì sandwiches, which is what the bread tastes like too. So bummed. Check out the photo and compare to years past. read more

Been going to this boba spot for 10+ years. Recently found out they have the BEST chai tea latte in town!It's so yummy and always served hot. I also love their Thai tea with boba and their new cheese foam. From drinking blended redbulls here when I was 13 to now drinking their teas! I've never been disappointed.
