If you're looking for a drive through coffee, that doesn't taste like drive through coffee THIS IS THE PLACE!! We've tried almost every coffee shop in redding and go to one most days to work. While Black Rose is drive through only, it does have some of the tastiest coffee we've experienced yet! They are also very fast. When we pulled up there were several cars in front of us and yet we still were able to get through the line with our coffees and back on the road in less than 5 minutes. If you're looking for a quick delicious coffee THIS is the place to go! Oh and btw the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Just yet another reason to stop by. Came through for 2 coffees 1 bagel and 1 breakfast burrito. Paid $4.00 for each of the food items to find their breakfast burritos are foul due to them being packaged frozen and thrown in the microwave. Then for $4.00 your expected to spread on your own cream cheese that comes with enough cream cheese for one side of the bagel. Basically threw $20 in the trash and walked away wishing lazy businesses like that didn't exist because they are truly wasting peoples money. read more

When Black Rose opened up just down the street from me, I was THRILLED! I became a huge fan immediately due to the quality of coffee and teas as well as the Paleo donuts that are made right in downtown Redding at Zoie Claire's Bakery. After living in Redding for 15 years, I have come to the point of seeking out local businesses and both of these are two of my favorites. I'm not sure how Ashley L could have had such a negative experience at Black Rose as I have only been met with people who are eager to please their customers, get your order correct and who are courteous and polite. But after working in the food industry, we all know there will always be a Debbie Downer. The thing I find most disturbing is that this one bad review can affect this business. Why would I be taking this so personally? Because I take the health of our town personally and want desperately to see it improve, and one of the ways to see this whole community thrive is to have healthy businesses succeed. Torrie at the Black Rose knows her stuff, uses quality ingredients and cares about her customers. As does Cheryl at Zoie Claire's, and if she would give the information to Ashley over the phone as was stated, Cheryl would be violating certain regulations and standards by using ingredients in her baked goods that are NOT Paleo or vegan if that is what she is advertising, which means she could be at risking her business and I don't see that as possible. if I could use one word to describe this place it would be YUM! We tried their blended coffee drinks (I got the bliss and my boyfriend got the ecstasy) and they were both bomb. We also got cheddar jalapeño bagels and they were also amazing. A really great breakfast stop and super affordable for the quality you are getting! There was nothing that indicated to us that it was a DRIVE THRU coffee place, and we were actually hoping to sit down somewhere, get some breakfast, and do some work, so we were a little disappointed that we couldn't sit and enjoy it, BUT that didn't stop us from ordering and enjoying it anyway. When I heard that there was a new little coffee shop opening I instantly followed on Instagram, I was intrigued to find out that it's a mother following her dream of owning her own coffee shop! The girls here are so sweet and food is good. I'm not vegan or on any diet but they feature a lot of food and options that cater to people with different diets. So far I'm hooked on a blended bliss.
