I'm sorry but I took a few bites and couldn't finish them. They tasted so much like dog food I actually checked the label to make sure I wasn't eating a dog treat. The smoothies are good and the only reason I am not giving this place a two star. Maybe I just have bad luck with this place but after multiple visits I'm over it. Anyone that rates this stand a 1 star is higher than a kite, I've been going to this stand since it was java jolt and the new owner puts ALL the previous ones to shame. The girls are all very educated on their products, and I trust them with my food allergies. From time to time a order may get confused that's only human but if you're looking for perfection, quite frankly black rose is it, you not only have your coffee ready for you (if you're a regular) before you even get to the window, but these women actually care about their community, the owner handed out free drinks during all the fires, I've heard of them doing several donations around the community, they give you service that best fits YOU which is unique if you ask me. Because we're all particular about our coffee. Not to mention, they sell all organic yet charge cheaper than Dutch, so you're actually getting more than what you pay for. 10/10 recommend I'll never stop coming here. Black rose has excellent coffee. I prefer mine black and I've found most places have bitter tasting brew. Not so at black rose. The coffee is so smooth and full bodied. I love it! Can't wait to try their teas too. They have a nice selection. I'm so excited to have found a local place with such great coffee and customer service. I only wish they were open later. Black Rose Coffee is soooo good! They have a large variety of coffee blends, and teas that are full flavor without the burnt - bean taste of some of the competition. There is also a variety of quick treats. They even offer vegan and vegetarian food options! The service is great too! The Baristas are knowledgeable, kind, funny, and personable. Best Coffee ever!!! Gluten and Paleo pastries are awesome! I am allergic to...EVERYTHING, so I love having gluten free and corn free options to eat. I have been to Zoe Claire's in downtown Redding where the pastries come from and double-checked on gluten and paleo ingredients and it's 100% good to eat.
