Juice was good. We would come back for that and to try açaí bowls, which look great. But.... ...the staff doesn't put their masks on correctly and wasn't telling customers to do so either. We spotted on employee wearing her mask down, under her mouth and talking within 2 feet of customers... some of which did not have their masks on their mouths either. Gross. Such a simple thing. Oh my gosh this is the best juice bar I have come across in a long time. Redding seemingly does not have many healthy options, but this is a saving grace for this town. I went into Roots for my first time this evening, and it was such a wonderful experience. The guy working the register (I believe his name was Jacob) was so kind and patient with me as I figured out what I wanted. He was also just genuinely happy and nice. He made sure I had all of my items packaged up, and that I was good to go. And the smoothie I got with my juices was delicious! I'll have to come back to update on the juices themselves after I drink them tomorrow for my makeshift juice cleanse. Great drink, I went for the cacao coffee one. Also just got a basic wrap with turkey and avocado that I enjoyed. Didn't expect it to be warm so that was nice. I placed my order through yelp, when I got there about five minutes later to pickup I was told it would be a little late, no problem. The girl working was so profusely apologetic, she accidentally dropped the wrap she made me and had to remake it. I was in no hurry and it honestly wasn't a problem anyway. There was tons of traffic in and out so understandable there was a wait- pretty sure she was the only person working. She ended up giving me stamp cards to compensate my time, which honestly wasn't even necessary. I really like this place. I've been to both locations each of them twice. They provide an excellent quality of juice, and I'm from Los Angeles where juice is the game!! Literally, there's a juice shop on almost every corner, like there's a bar on every corner of my hometown Buffalo. If you're looking for a coldpressed juice only one location has it, the churn Creek location. They do add fruit to everyone of their juices, so if you're like me and you like a very green juice without fruit, you can't get it cold press. There's always Apple or something added to their cold press. If you do get the fresh centrifugal juicer, know that they always add ice to it. Adding ice to fresh pressed juice decreases enzymatic quality of the juice, and I would've told him not to do it had I known that's what they were going to do. Just something to note! I'm a big fan of adding plant protein to my smoothie and they have a really good plant protein blend. Overall, I will go back again!! read more
