Me and two other people walked in at about 12:55pm, totally not realizing that they close at 1 because I'm more familiar with the weekday hours. When we ordered, the woman at the register was very sweet and patient. However there was a woman that was a bit shorter with brown hair that was cleaning & while my friend was ordering, the worker cleaning asked behind her what the time was & huffed with a sour face when she was asked to make a smoothie. While we were waiting for our orders, I noticed the woman cleaning had taken a table & chairs from customers talking outside, while we were sitting at the register waiting she came and told us that she was going to sweep right there really quick. We had scoot over but not far so we can grab our order, and she proceeded to sweep my friends feet. When we were figuring out where to sit, she said, "were actually closed right now," we said that we're so sorry & didn't realize it, which she responded, "Yeah," and held the door open until we walked out. I completely understand trying to close & customers keep coming in (as an ex-cafe worker) but a simple, "Hey guys, just wanna let you know that we're closing in 5 minutes," when we walked in and we probably would've just let them close & catch them the next time the cafe was open. I would like to add that the food and drinks were still amazing, every other time I've been here I've had great experiences, and I still plan on returning/recommending. read more

This is an adorable cafe in Redding. My mother's personal favorite, she tells me. As soon as you walk in you get immediate cozy and homey vibes. I love that they make their own cold foam. I added the salted caramel flavor to the top of my cold brew and it was perfection. I also ordered the vegan breakfast burrito that was also pretty great. I love that their walls are decorated with art from local artists. My only regret is that I didn't visit this cafe more often during my stay in Redding. Next time! read more

I love coming here. We live nearby and I'm grateful I don't have to travel very far to find the place that has it all. I like the coffee - it's dark like coffee should be; none of this citrus stuff. Their food is good if you want a quick bite. What they don't make in the shop they get from local vendors. There's always something for our daughter and the staff and owners are very accommodating. I probably spend 10-15 hours a week working here and the Wi-Fi is definitely up to snuff. It can get a little loud during the school year when students from across the road come in for the flavored Red Bull but that comes with the territory. read more

They feature specials lovingly handwritten on the board and myriad options for those of us who have food restrictions, without sacrificing flavor or enjoyment! I would have thought they'd be use to foreigners since it's got Bethel church. The customer service was meh and the food is terrible. I'm not just saying that because the customer service is so so. I ordered the egg white bites and they had a weird flavor. The yogurt was tasteless as well. I've never tasted yogurt like that. The coffee was great so if you go, just stick to the coffee but don't stick around because you'll get a stare down until you leave. I'm from NY and we tip big. First visit today - I ordered a couple cups of tea, a breakfast burrito, and a Caprese open-faced sandwich. Everything tasted great, lots of local products, and the baristas were incredibly friendly. The community art and bulletin board gave this a real sense of place; the decor is artsy, kind of eclectic, and warmly cheerful. Good seating options: a big group table, small tables, window bar area, sofa, a few sidewalk tables. Lots of outlets and great WiFi were a bonus since I came to do some work. Clean & comfy, also feels like a great place to meet a friend. Strip mall location with plenty of free parking. I just started sitting inside places again, and I thought OSCC did a great job with Covid precautions while making everyone feel welcome. (Employees wearing masks correctly, hand sanitizer available, customer masks required until you eat/drink, seating is spaced out, some tables are tactfully placed to put a bit more distance between the register and customers.) For the most part, customers were respecting the precautions and just happy to be out enjoying some drinks. Small town kind of feel: people seemed to be greeting acquaintances they hadn't seen in a while. I missed the happy vibe of places like this! Can't wait to come back! read more
