TLDR: Poor and unprofessional delivery service, but the fresh drinks taste great! I've ordered both online & in store (dragon fruit bowl). This review gives 2 stars for the delivery service. I've purchased $90 worth of fresh juice + bottled pressed juice delivered to a residential address. The bag of drink was dropped off without any ice packs in around 105 F degree weather under the sun. I had expected better customer service for a bulk order of fresh perishables! Otherwise the drinks are delicious!

Absolutely LOVE ROOTS JUICE. BAR. It's not only so yummy and delicious but it's healthy! They make all the drinks fresh to order. And the staff at this location is always so amazing and helpful in suggesting. Items to add or swap in your drink of choice. Also very friendly and outgoing people. I highly recommend

Juice was good. We would come back for that and to try açaí bowls, which look great. But.... ...the staff doesn't put their masks on correctly and wasn't telling customers to do so either. We spotted on employee wearing her mask down, under her mouth and talking within 2 feet of customers... some of which did not have their masks on their mouths either. Gross. Such a simple thing. Put your mask over your mouth and nose... save lives and keep your germs to yourself.

Sooo good and refreshing! I have friends and coworkers that come here for smoothies and wraps so I had to give it a try. I ordered the Açaí Bowl with granola, banana, and almond butter. YUM! At first look I was worried there wasn't enough almond butter but it goes deeper down into the bowl than it appears. The açaí seems previously frozen but has amazing flavor. Overall it is a yummy, healthy, and filling lunch option.

Oh my gosh this is the best juice bar I have come across in a long time. Redding seemingly does not have many healthy options, but this is a saving grace for this town. The juices are incredible I got the hulk green juice which is actually filled with mostly organic produce had very green vegetables I am drinking it now and I feel amazing. The smoothies are rich creamy well-balanced and absolutely delicious. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Bathrooms are clean. I am so impressed, Two big thumbs up!

Kid with a mask below his nose giving medical advice on how to clear gallstones to the customer in front of me. When he takes my order he finished with "will you be tipping with cash or card today". 25 minute line for 2 cars ahead of me. Yea I'll pass next time. read more

In Redding for the holiday - wanted something healthy and found.... Roots! Love the background of how it all started. Support small businesses! Best wishes. The product: tried two different smoothies on the day before and after Thanksgiving. Both were amazing (something with blueberries and the Bahama mama - and I don't even like bananas. The smoothies have banana as a base - I don't think you can substitute something else. Added protein on the second day - worth it. Too advantage of the fresh juices... buy 5 - 6th one free. Great smoothies and wraps, super yummy. However I am very concerned for the staff as none of the employees were wearing masks or face coverings. Gov. Newsom did put out an order requiring all California residents to wear masks in public, especially in the workplace. I am disappointed by the lack of masks on the employees and customers other than myself. I hope Roots decided to make masks and face coverings mandatory in your shop, since you are so "health" focused. COVID-19 is still a huge concern and people are dying. Thanks read more

I stopped in last night (9/26) at around 9:30pm. I told the employee who helped me that I hated to be THAT PERSON coming in so late - 1/2 hour before they close - but he was so kind and told me not to worry about it. He had a smile on his face, a kind and patient voice the whole time he was taking my order and I felt very welcomed. I ordered the Funky Monkey smoothie and he had it out to me within five minutes! I was impressed. I wish I would've caught his name. He was broad-shouldered, about 5' 10", tan, black hair.. my guess is he was of Hawaiian ethnicity. Anyway, I hope they keep him around. He's a quality employee for sure. read more

The food is great (I love their wraps)! As much as the folks here care about providing healthy food, I do wish they would care about having a healthy environment by asking guests to wear masks. Ordered the dirty tumeric ginger shot $3.50, small apple nachos (apples with peanut butter, coconut shavings and granola), hummus with veggies and a 16oz green machine juice $8. Ginger shots are good however they need to work on customer experience. Waited 5 minutes for someone to take our order and once they were ready, they answered the phone and told us to wait longer. Customer service 101, you always help the person in front of you. We walked out. read more

I can stop at Roots every day and never get tired of their delicious smoothies and fresh juice. My favorite is the Morning Dew. It is a great replacement for coffee to give you a morning wake up. The Funky Monkey smoothie reminds me of my childhood favorite PB&J. The wraps are tasty and the Apple Nachos are a meal unto themselves, great for breakfast! read more

Smoothies are great but it is SO incredibly hot in the shop, you can't sit in there and consume your food. Unhealthy working conditions for the poor employees. The staff stated that there is something with the system that won't let the temp drop below 20 degrees cooler than outside. It must be close to 100 degrees in the store, though. The afternoon sun is shining into the all glass walls. Crazy! I won't return until they do something about it. My wife had to go wait in the car. read more

Pretty disappointed with the launch of the new wraps they're offering. WAY over priced. It's literally going to cost you $12 for a wrap with just normal wrap ingredients, ie: turkey, avocado, cheese. You can get much better if you go just to Country Organics or Orchard Nutrition and for a lesser price. I get charging extra for avocado... but for cheese and meat? Why not just makes it a salad then? Roots should probably just stick to juice. read more

I joked to my husband this is where the skinny people hang out. I love going to Roots for the people watching and I think I would love to get to know and hang out with about 80% of the people I have seen in line there. What I love about Roots is they will make any drink you want. The menu is just a starting point. My favorite drink is Green Machine which yeah it is green and super low carb compared to a fruity drink but still tastes great with a real bite to it (the ginger does that.). Best time to go.... midway through a bike ride. The medium cup should fit in your bottle rack. read more

Amazing people, yummy, healthy products. Great customer service and I LOVE the stamps to earn free juices. Anna was the first server I met and she knew her stuff, was patient with my indecision and she gave me a card with 9 free stamps in it so the next drink I buy would get me one free. She rocks!! Such a great experience. I'm a regular now and I go to both locations. The juice is a little more affordable on Bechelli but I love the cold processed. Love them both! read more

Only one outside seat? What if I want to bring a friend? People who drink smoothies don't have friends, because they are too inwardly focused on their cacao and plant protein. The bushes outside are full of rocks, because people fear wild plants. "Smoothie people" only like plants that they can stick in a blender, and anything else will be stoned and shamed. I award 2 stars for great service, and 1 star for a tasty snack. 2 stars have been deducted for lack of compassion on the bushes. read more

I'm from Redding born and raised. So lucky to have a place like this in town. I always try juice bars most places I visit and nothing compares to Roots fresh juices,smoothies and shots! Most friendly an amicable staff ever!!! I'm visiting Redding for work and this place makes me feel like I'm right at home:) They really cater and treat their customers like their friends! I went in one day with a plethora of questions, as I had an ailing daughter. He patiently educated me on several different remedies, and I was especially enthralled by his level of knowledge and expertise on the subject of mushroom species and their benefits. At home I implemented the vitamin regimen he had suggested for my daughter, and within a month I watched her flourish and heal significantly. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for Anthony's sincere concern, and his willingness to educate me (and later on my sons as well) on various natural cures for physical health issues. He's a truly good person and should be lauded for his outstanding customer support.

This place is the coolest! I think I got the green mean, they said it was their best green juice and they weren't kidding! I've made juice at home and it's just not the same, they've got the magic touch! They even said if I didn't like it they would make me another juice FOR FREE! Then the cool guy at the register HOOKED ME UP! He gave me a stamp card with 9 stamps that's almost a FREE JUICE ALREADY!!! They just spoil me every time I go. There is no better food! If you're looking for healthy and fresh and an accommodating staff, this is the place to go and they even have a drive-through. I keep going back and back. I have to be on a gluten-free diet. They hand make their tortillas. Yum. I know a thing or two about the owners and this place mirrors their lovely personas can't wait to go back. read more

You just have to come in and try us out to know what it's all about :) great place for breakfast or lunch, lovely staff, and good environment to hang out in.
