After driving past Croffle Craze so many times, I finally tried it. The interior is cute, the walls are painted yellow and pink - a perfect location for a coffee meet up with a friend or a fun dessert after a date. It was a tad expensive, but I am willing to pay that for a unique experience. The waffle was great, I even liked that she pre-cut it so it was not difficult to eat. The Mango Ice Cream was all right, it was just Mango pieces with what tasted like milk ice-cream. Nothing too crazy, would probably not get again. The food is so delicious and light, the croffles are amazing, the coffee is so good, the smoothies are delicious, the service is excellent and the ambiance is so cute and sweet. This place is so perfect in the summer for a light sweet treat or a light savory snack. I love this place so much, brought my teenagers here and they loved it too. The owner here is the sweetest old lady, definitely give this place a try for a unique experience in food and ambiance for the Redding area. I wasn't expecting to like this place as much as I did. But right when I walked in, I saw how cute this little place is, run with love and it shows through in their food. The coffee is so delicious and I ended up coming back the very next day after my first stop. I saw the 4.8 stars average across 38 reviews and figured this place would be a can't fail. Went on a Sunday afternoon for coffee. Open signs near front door were both dim, one on the side was lit so I checked the front door / it was open. No one in there except a young Chinese woman. Ordered drip coffee and matcha tea. All racks that might normally have pastries - empty. Big stuff bears at front center. Am I in kindergarten? Big Front of store windows - 95% covered with posters - can't look out..outside cannot see in. Wood seats with a quarter inch cushions. Not comfortable. I asked for half and half. She said they don't have it but have something just like it. But she couldn't tell me what it was. I saw it was in something like a large ketchup squeeze bottle like they used to have a Burger King. I had her put some into the coffee and it was not good at all and not like half and half. And who runs a store that can't even tell you what is it they have in lieu of half and half? What cafe shop on planet earth does not have half and half? Well I found one that doesn't. When the mystery liquid didn't help she ask me if I wanted milk - I said yes, then she pulled out one gallon jug of non-organic milk. But based on the impact to the color of the coffee, I'd say it was non fat milk. With how desolate the place was - only the three of us there (me , my girlfriend, and the worker) and no food products - I had to wonder what exactly is going on there. Is it a money laundering operation or a front for something else? To be fair, the young lady was ok to interact with. I only had two sips of the coffee and we left, glad to get out of there. Their soft serve was very different than normal soft serve and was amazing. Croffles are croissant's that are in waffle form and can get them sweet or savory here. Tried the Nutella waffle and what a sweet suprise. Also, drinks weren't too sweet and perfect flavor. They even put on this sweet cream on top that makes it better. The matcha latte was great as well; usually I have issues finding great matcha, usually they are too dilute/milky or too sweet. Stopped by for breakfast for the first with my girlfriend as a quick break from the pouring rain and was immediately met with the bright, comforting decor. We were greeted by the staff who directed us to the kiosks so that we could place our orders which was very intuitive and easy to do, even with such a diverse and intriguing menu. After our orders were placed, we found our seats and waited a few minutes for our food. Once we got our food, we were both blown away by how good it was, (we both ordered the smoked salmon sandwich) and shortly after we had promptly dispatched, the host was kind enough to give us both a sample of their Matcha/Thai tea sorbet to try.
