When I insisted she put them in large containers and scraped the blender to get close enough to a large. Then the advertise the rewards program but upon signing up, this location doesn't actually participate in it. Never again. read more

The staff was super patient with our large party. They were friendly, and helped the kids make their flavor-decisions. The ice cream also tasted super yummy! The reason it is only 4 star instead of 5, is because it is pretty pricey. A small cup of ice cream with one topping is $4.65. Maybe cold stone should do a discount card? Or a frequent buyer card to help people get a kick-back of some kind. We all know icecream is not that expensive to make. :) read more

The customer service is lovely, they have such very friendly and very patient staff! Its the first time I've been to ColdStone since 2012 in Santa Cruz so I practically just stood there and stared at the menu board for 15mins assessing the different kinds of flavors and cones I'd like to get vs What I should get. I went with "The Blonde strawberry" ice cream, while my companies settled for "No Fair Funnel Cake" and a "Cookies & Cream" Milkshake I remember my mother getting a Caramel Frap from here months ago and I recall it tasting pretty darn legendary, and after tasting the Cookies & Cream we all came to an agreement that their Milkshakes are the better place to go! So inloveeee! In the other hand, I now realize that I chose a very basic and average ice cream and ...that's what I got, it's very similar to Ben&Jerrys strawberry shortcake minus the good amount of graham that B&J provides. Also, their No Fair Funnel Cake literally was Not Fair! I died in the inside, the funnel was stale, the vanilla ice cream was bland, heavy on the whip cream! I think there was more whip cream than the actual ice cream, the strawberry syrups taste more artificial than average, it really just wasn't a good experience---and we felt sick afterwards. I'm sure I could have chosen a better ice cream, I'll definitely be back to try again! It's the infamous ColdStone after all! The interior and ambience, oh boy, oh boyyyyy. Too much going on! Windows are covered with posters, walls including, ceilings have hanging banners, it's just too heavy and busy for the eyes. The quarter tile wall makes me feel like I'm inside the restroom with the marble plated tables as the finish. It's not the most pleasing setting to spend your time in. Not to mention that the floors was wayyy too dirty, but it's been raining the past couples days that I won't even blame that on them. Hoping for a better experience next time. I would have given a zero to the his place. The quality of the workers is dwindling by the day. Today I watched two girls mixing the ice cream on the stone for customers. One girl was tall and the other was medium height. The tall girl had colored a few locks of her hair in the front and had left her hair untied. Well she put the ball of ice cream into the cup and then noticed a strand of her hair in the ice cream . She removed the hair while the other girl noticed it and then served that ice cream to a customer. atleast when the Mask mandate was in place all these servers had a mask on and had their hair tied behind their head securely. With the mask mandate gone, the discipline is gone too. Then the same tall girl went inside and got a rubber band and secured her hair and scratched her nose and wanted to know what I wanted. This girl is awful and needs to be trained. I eventually bought my ice cream and left the store very disappointed. My receipt says 8:22:17pm run your tapes between 8:05 pm and 8:20 PM and see what your servers are doing. Have them Wear a mask and secure their hair. read more

Went in at around 9:30 pm and was met with a very different tone from the female worker (red hair). Not welcoming at all. A second worker made my order and made it incorrect after I had communicated with her what it was. Ice cream was already melting and dripping off to the sides by the time it reached my hands. There was no apology nor acknowledgement for getting my order incorrect and there was not even a "thank you" after I had received my order. Better customer service is needed here (or, at the very least, retraining). I won't be returning here again. Do yourself a favor and consider bringing your business to a better establishment. read more

Just went in about 15 minutes ago, worst customer service I've came across. Started off as a nice visit and almost instantly turned horrible. There were multiple staff members waiting to serve us but one in particular, who I later found out was manager (probably not the best decision they made), was rushing us and acting like she hated being there. Then she asked which customers were a part of our group and we let her know the small group and she obviously didn't understand, and came back with a snotty response. I asked another staff member if there was a customer satisfaction survey I could fill out and she clearly overheard, as she went into the back room and talked to other employees and then they all turned their heads out and glared because they can't admit their manager has shitty customer service and respect for the reputation of the company. enjoy!!! read more

This place has been a great memory for me my while childhood. The flavors are sweet and creamy and I love to mix and match so I can have both fruity and rich flavors in one visit. One time I went and I was very impressed by how the staff handled a computer malfunction. Decided to stop in after taking a walk on a HOT Redding summer day. Needed to cool off and this place is usually a hit with the kids. Since I've been living in San Luis Obispo, I've gotten used to "better" ice cream but this is still ok. The place isn't as modern as some Cold Stone's I've been to but the staff was super friendly and smiling. We got the flavors we wanted and enjoyed them there in the store.
