Outstanding Service and Nostalgic Charm The owner is truly fortunate to have hired excellent employees like Damian & Komal. They are a class act, kind, respectful, and genuinely attentive to everyone who walks through the door. In today's world, it's rare to find such exceptional staff, Damian and Komal are absolute gems who deserves to be recognized and promoted. The shop itself is spotless, the air conditioning is perfect, and the food brings back the flavors we all loved as kids. It's the kind of place you want to bring Grandma, Grandpa, and the whole family to celebrate something special like any day that ends with day in the name is recommend. read more

There was only one person working when we came for a banana split. Because of the line we waited for about 20 minutes, but the worker was sweet and kind. I especially liked the espresso Oreo flavor! Great price for what you get. Nothing crazy, but a good stable for Ice Cream. read more

If you enjoy eating plain, dry icecream cones, order from here. You will pay top dollar for a tiny scoop of icecream resting on a bare cone. What a joke. We gave them several chances and left disappointed every time. We won't be back. read more

Extremely poor service. Blank stare the entire time as they glare at you and wait for you to pick your flavor. 0 interaction just weird pressure like you shouldn't be there. Terribly over priced for the "scoops" that you get. All 3 of my scoops were different sizes and not consistent, nor were the flavors that good. Just go to 32 below it's up the street. read more

We went into this store today to buy a cake. I couldn't see all the flavors of cakes in the fridge so I opened the fridge to take a look. Almost immediately the person behind the counter very rudely told me to close the fridge because he said it gets warm. The problem was his condescending tone and speaking to me as though I was a child. I decided to not give my business to a company that severely lacks in customer service. So I went to Rallys next door and got a bigger cake for half the price. read more

It's a business, for profit. That's the bottom line about this particular franchise. Money, they are in it to make money. That's it. That's all, they want your money. It's fast food, ice cream, overpriced, served mostly by teenage workers ill informed about their rights, have no clue their manager/owner of this place is taking advantage of them. This place should be scrutinized by public officials. Please take time to ask the employees here about working conditions, the shady things. The late hours they work sometimes to accommodate the owners/managers family, serving them after closing time and not even leaving a tip for the poor employees. Do they get overtime pay? Are they asked to serve ice cream even if it fell on the floor and the manager says, it's not dirty it still good and the scared employee serves it to an unsuspecting customer. Imagine if that ice cream is for you or your loved one? Your 6 yr old kid? This franchise is run Third-World country style, applied to the folks here in Redding, and they are getting away with it. You wonder why you get mediocre service. The owners are rotten. They care not about the young people of Redding who desperately need jobs. They care not for the struggling people here in Redding. They peddle overpriced ice cream, workers are expendable, exploitable, young and naive. You choose whether you have the conscience to support a business who does not care about your son, daughter, your friends, your kin. Ask current and former employees, they will tell you the owners of this place are just honestly greedy. You choose if you want to support this franchise or find other places you can get ice cream. For me personally, there are other ice cream places not owned by the couple who operates this baskin robbins. It's overpriced fast food ice cream, served by scared teenagers, owned by a greedy uncaring couple. Public Officials need to investigate the owners. read more

The last ice cream we got here was not regular 31 Flavors. Very poor quality in 2 different flavors. They have changed their product and it is poor. read more

My husband and I had absolute best Sundays from Baskin Robbins today with the Jamocha almond fudge, ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry. The way it's supposed to be. I love this Sunday so much because I've ordered it for over 20 years and it's consistently the same. I walk away every time saying damn that was good. Also a nice little pick me up on a blah day. Thank you, Baskin Robbins, for being part of our great day! read more

Ordered 2 Oreo milkshakes. The young woman who took the order was clueless - literally acted like she'd never heard of a milkshake in her life. There was no manager or supervisor for her to ask how to make them - like it's that hard to put ice cream and milk in a blender! Took 15 minutes and it came in these very tiny cups. $12.00 for 2 kiddie sized milkshakes. Was very disappointed because we've been here before and it was great - probably because there was a manager on duty. Also the music was very loud and there was an annoyingly loud whining noise. Not a comfortable place to sit and have a treat. Hint to the owners - either train your staff or have someone there to step in. You lost a couple of customers - I'll stick to Cold Stone or Dairy Queen or Sonic. Lots of places to go for ice cream treats in town. read more

Had the WORST experience here last week. I ordered two oreo milkshakes through DoorDash. Each milkshake was 8 dollars, plus a 3 dollar delivery fee, plus a tip. For two milkshakes I ended up paying 25 dollars which was fine because the point was for me to not have to leave the house to go get them. The driver dropped my order at the door and left, when I opened the door there was only one milkshake and a little bag that contained a single scoop of ice cream. I immediately called the store (because DoorDash won't do anything) and told them they made my order wrong and I paid a buttload for two milkshakes that I didn't even get. The girl I talked to tried to blame it on the delivery guy because "he doesn't speak english". How is it the delivery guys fault? He doesn't walk in and make the orders! It was the store's responsibility to make the order correctly. I asked if I drove to the store, can they make me the milkshake that I ordered and paid for. She assured me that if I came to pick it up they would have it ready. I drove to the store (which completely defeated the purpose of ordering delivery) and walked in. No one even acknowledged me. I got someone's attention and said I had just called and I'm there for the milkshake. The girl says "okay, you talked to *girl's name* and she's in the back talking to the manager. I said okay and waited probably 7-10 minutes for this girl to come out of the back. She comes out and I tell her I had called about the milkshake and I'm there to pick it up. She then says that the manager said I have to pay the price difference between the single scoop I received and the milkshake that I want. I explained that I already paid 25 dollars that included a delivery fee, a tip for the driver, AND I still had to drive across town. I'm absolutely not paying another 5 dollars because they messed up my order. She had a complete attitude and argued with me. I asked to talk to the manager and she said I can't because he/ she wasn't there. I explained one last time that it is not fair for me to pay 30 bucks for two mediocre milkshakes. She then rolled her eyes at me, and began to make the milkshake. She puts it on the counter when it was done with ice cream that spilled over all down the sides, slaps a lid on that makes more drips stroll down the cup and says "HERE". The main points of the story are the customer service was trash, the girls who were on duty that night had trash attitudes and why would anyone think it's okay to blame someone else for YOUR mistakes thinking it's okay because they "don't speak English"? The staff were completely clueless and rude. What a horrible experience. read more

Apparently, when the server messes up and doesn't get you the flavor of ice cream you ordered and paid for, you are unable to get it fixed and you get whatever they give you. Horrible management. read more

I like this place it always smells so good when I go in they make their cones right there. The employees are always so kind and it always pretty clean inside. read more

Definitely do not order delivery from this place. 9 times out of 10 they will either forget half of the ingredients in your sundae or they just short you on the amount of ice cream you were supposed to get. I'd rather pay the higher prices for Cold Stone, which is what I will be doing going forward. read more

I love the variety of flavors they offer, it's so hard to choose just one! Their banana splits are always made with perfection and the bananas are nice and ripe. If you order a pint to-go they pack the ice cream in there and definitely give you your money's worth. read more

The best ice cream and the best staff! I have been a fan of baskin Robbins since childhood back in the 80's. I've been to a lot of different locations in my lifetime; including one in England! I ordered a cake for my sons birthday, the worker wrote down the correct date with the wrong day of the week. The owner called me one time during dinner the night before pickup to clarify and didn't leave a message then just didn't make my cake. When my mother in law arrived to pick up she said she called over and over and nobody answered so she went with the later date. She called one time and didn't leave a message. Why not just make my cake to be safe? When I went in to speak with her she blamed her workers and offered me a $10 gift card to make up for my son not having his birthday cake. We won't be back. read more

There are few ice cream shops in the world like Baskin Robins on Lake Blvd. Perhaps there is somewhere in Rome that serves gelato that is on par with the ice cream at the Baskin Robbins on Lake Blvd. But it is certain that no ice cream shop on the planet that offers the level of customer service and culinary acumen that you will find here. The ice cream cakes are made with an old world attention to detail and design. The employees at Baskin Robbins on Lake Blvd have an attention to detail that harkens to a simpler time when artisans would spend countless hours crafting an ice cream cake. O. M. G.!!! What a bummer of a visit. So I paid for my ice cream. She gave me back $0.22 it was supposed to be $7.22. So she called over somebody with a different colored name tag and either one could not figure out how to open the cash register or how to give me my money back. So as it won't let me buy a cookie and that way that'll open your register and I can get my change and be on my way. So I did I paid for a cookie, she figured out how to give me my change after about 10 minutes. So I get home and she doesn't put the cookie in the bag oh O. M. G. If I could express my frustration I would but I am insane with frustration right now. read more

I was really excited that baskin Robbins was coming back to Redding. The first time I visited, the ice cream and service was great and I was excited to go back and try a milkshake. However, the second visit was far from satisfactory. The 4 young girls working didn't seem to know what they were doing and had to keep asking each other if items were on the menu and how to make things. Two $6 cookies and cream shakes were served in fairly small sundae cups, tasted like watered down ice cream, and were served without straws. Hard to justify the cost when the taste isn't justifiable. There are better options in the Redding area with much better results. Maybe this store doesn't serve milkshakes? read more

We were so excited that they came back to Redding and enjoyed our ice cream. The only downfall for me was they don't carry their bubble gum ice cream and that one is my favorite. I went there specifically for the bubble gum flavor. The young guy that helped us was nice enough but looked and sounded less than thrilled to be there. Overall we had a good experience just wish they would bring bubble gum ice cream back! read more

Ice cream cakes, cones, shakes... it's all so good. The other night I had a couple of samplers in front of me (see Curb your Enthusiasm Season 6 Episode 3) but they were friendly and allowed me to order while they were partaking in the multiple flavors. Personal favorites are mint chip and pistachio. Quick and friendly service. Consistently great ice cream during the hellacious summers of Redding, can't go wrong. read more
