A just opened Korean corn dog, mochi donut, tea spot right across the street from the Shasta mall. Clean interior with limited seating, but the aesthetic of the interior was nice and inviting. Korean corn dogs were crispy and fresh. The cheese pull was pullinnnn. It was overall tasty and the garlic aioli was such a good pair! The lychee tea I ordered was refreshing. I ordered half sweet which was perfect for me. The owners are friendly and try their best to keep improving. This spot is a great addition to the food culture here in Redding. read more

First of all, I want to take issue with people who complain that boba teas were too sweet or that it took too long. I've been having milk teas and Boba teas for years, starting years ago in Hawaii. I have my favorites mapped out in Honolulu, Cupertino, San Francisco, and even in Boston. This Is my first time coming to Modo, and I waited the same anmount of time I would wait in San Francisco or Honolulu or anywhere else. Unless you are getting a milk tea or Boba tea made from some kind of a fast mix, it always takes time. There's always a wait. If you can't sit and chill for a few minutes while you're waiting for your tea to be made, maybe you should get a soda instead. Also, as for people who say milk teas are "too sweet," a good milk tea/boba shop will always offer different levels of sweetness. Modo does that. So if you don't want 100% sweet, you can do a percentage of the sweetness instead. You can also ask for less ice or no ice, and they will not short you on the drink. I was psyched to find out they had Hokkaido milk tea, and since I like a sweet milk tea, I went with 100% sweet and less ice. I wish I had ordered two of them because when this one runs out, I'm going to be sad. It is so delicious! It ranks as one of my top two favorite milk teas (behind an Assam milk tea in a tiny shop in Honolulu). My only real disappointment is that they ran out of their cute Modo cups! I will definitely return, the quality of their milk tea is on a par with the best of the teas I've ever had. Well done. Ono kine tea for reals! read more

Very cute new boba place in town! Everything was great and was not very busy at night. Drinks were a little too sweet, but delicious. Will ask for 50% sweet next time. Corn dog was very yummy and was literally half hot dog and half cheese. Mochi donuts were okay. May be fresher in the morning compared to right before closing. The Okinawa milk tea is good. The boba however was alright, a little bit on the harder side but overall it was good. I got the Korean corn dog with corn. It was a lot of breading. The sausage inside the corn dog was good. Service was really nice and fast. Very clean place. Probably will be my go to place for boba or milk tea now. I Love how they open at 10am! I ordered two of their all beef korndogs, one with potato topping and another with hot Cheeto. They were both amazing! The hot Cheeto was def my favorite. Next time I'll def have to do half and half. I also order their strawberry milk tea, they didn't have the honey boba quite ready yet when I came in, but the nice lady suggested the coffee jelly, which in my case tasted actually super amazing and lastly I order one Nutella mochi doughnut and it was super fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness and dough. I was so excited to see Bulgogi fries on the menu! they were delicious and the perfect portion. it kept me full for a while. the Taro Ube Milk Tea was sooo good! very flavorfu, sweet but not too sweet. So happy that we finally have Korean corndogs in Redding and they are sooo good! I had the mochi donuts, matcha milk tea, and Korean corn dog half and half with potato batter and a little bit of sugar it was all delicious and the workers were all so nice. I'll definitely be back and would recommend because they have great customer service and awesome food/drink. Worst drinks we've ever had. We love boba drinks and we're excited to try this new place but it was unfortunately horrible and we threw all our drinks away full. Tried the strawberry milk tea it tasted like cough syrup, the passion fruit green tea tasted very strong of flowers and same with the mango green tea. Nothing like normal boba places. First time was a charm trying this, we asked the worker if we could do two toppings, she went and asked the cook and said that was okay, it was amazing with hot cheetos and potatoes on it! I came back 2 days later and they said "we frequently change the rules" and didnt even bother to ask the cook if they could. The worker said its more difficult but I've went to other places with multiple toppings for the price of what they give you here. They put about a quarter of the mozzarella stick/ corn dog in hot cheetos. Im paying extra for a portion of what i would actually get on it at other places. The wait time is also ridiculous, ive waited 30-45 minutes every time for one mozzarella stick. For a one topping corn dog/mozzarella stick, its pretty over priced and takes forever. read more
