Service is not great at all had to pull around front and wait for my food just to receive my food with no napkins no sauces I received a small fry in a large container and my burger had half a tomato in it paying over 40$ and being completely irritated about what I received is beyond me read more

I love soft served chocolate dipped ice cream cones! My hometown lacks a DQ thus im always on the lookout for DQ. We stopped at a DQ in Hope, BC... that's how committed I am! read more

We came New years Eve and it looked closed but it wasn't. There weren't that many people dining in. The cashier was super patient. I got the three of the $7 combo meals which includes a cheeseburger, refillable drink, fries and a sundae. I thought that was a very good deal especially when I have 3 teenagers! My husband got the Honey BBQ chicken wings meal with toast and fries. I thought it was a bit pricey for 4 wings. The sauce was good but a but overwhelming. I wouldn't get that again. The prices for dessert have certainly gone up. The cheapest item on the menu would be the Dilly Bar which was 1.99. Their freezes are always good. read more

Four stars is for the price of each item being about $2 too high. The food and blizzard were excellent. Was a bit more expensive than I planned. A mini butterfinger blizzard is $5.57 (which includes tax). It was delicious but about $2 too expensive. A chicken strip basket was $10.18 (which includes tax) and the four chicken strips were a bit small. They were excellently fried and tasted delicious. But a bit small and $10 is a lot for the size. The fries at Dairy Queen have always been great. The basket came with a nice portion and tasted great. Almost $16 for a chicken strip basket and mini blizzard is too expensive. I think you can have quality and great taste with a more affordable price. read more

Chocolate ice cream machine is always broke. Broke again today 6/4/25. Ended up getting just a Diet Coke.

This location has not had chocolate ice cream in 18 months! Are we really about to face another Redding summer with no twist??? I've gone to Redding PD but they claimed they had no jurisdiction, I suspect they're on the DQ payroll. We need to come together, we can't have another vanilla summer! (The service there is fine, no problem with the staff) read more

I don't know why this place has bad reviews. We waited in the drive through line and the girl took our order. They were nice and friendly. It seemed like everyone had the same idea to get a late night snack. The ice cream was sooo good! It had so much cookie dough. This was a small. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area. read more

Very dry burger - asked for more ranch dressing (which comes on the burger) and was told I would be charged for it. I told her it was a ranch cheeseburger, and she said it doesn't come with it, just a little squirt on it. Fries cold. NOT coming back!!! read more

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill - Backyard Bacon Ranch Signature Stack-burger - Fast Food Near Me - Redding, California

Today my son and I went thru the Dairy Queen in Redding, CA to get lunch. When we ordered I repeated slowly and clearly said what we wanted. The Dude taking the order was an absolute IDIOT. First, we order the $7 Original cheeseburger meals with Hot fudge sundays with whip cream, we ordered onion rings not fries with fry sauce. We got fries and no fry sauce. Then, he gave us only one onion ring order, I asked again for the second onion rings and again for the fry sauce. Then, he had rung it up as $6.00 meals (they don't have $6 meals) the have $7.00 meals (well at least I got a discount I guess). Always check your order before you leave that window. They don't want to do there jobs correctly. This is so annoying, last time I went there and had the same problem. People working these kind of jobs need to open their ears and do there jobs!! If you can't do your job right you should get FIRED!!! read more

Craving an old favorite..chocolate malt. Asked for extra malt and it was tasty but not quite the old malted flavor. Maybe next time?!

Y'all haters be hatin'! This place is fantastic! I've never had a bad meal nor a bad ice cream run.

I like the cheese curds, they're always busy but I get through the line fairly quickly. Grandkids love it.

I enjoy Dairy Queen's ice cream but this location is just okay. No problems with anything I have ordered. Just that the drive through typically has long waits and if you go inside, the lobby area is not well lit. It does not have the cleanest or most welcoming ambiance inside. read more

Went in today at around 12:30pm. There was a paper sign on the door written in sharpie that said "no paper receipts". The cashier was a bit awkward. The same girl from that took our order came out with our food fairly quickly. However, I did not receive my dipping sauce, fries or drink I went to the counter to correct it but didn't have a paper receipt to show (because it wasn't available). I got the rest of my order with no problem. This restaurant seemed a bit unorganized and a bit untidy. read more

Fast service and delicious food . The fried cheese curds were a treat because you don't see them around here very often. They were super crispy and delicious. Love their blizzards too read more

Went inside for lunch, ordered double cheeseburger, fries & drink. Had to ask for the cup (shoulda been a clue). Sat down waited 15 minutes. Started looking around to see if it was busy. It wasn't. Only 3 other tables with customers, no customers at the counter and 3 cars in the drive thru. Waited 20 minutes and thought this is taking too long. Waited until 26 minutes had passed and went to the front. Told them how long I'd been waiting, handed the man my receipt and said I needed a refund because I couldn't wait any longer. The man processed my refund without saying one word. No apology, no explanation, not one word. Terrible. Very disappointing. I was hoping to get a peanut buster parfait for dessert. Probably woulda had to wait an hour for that!! read more

This was the largest Dairy Queen I've ever seen. Very busy drive through . They had all kinds of ice cream n cakes for sale. Hand sanitizer everywhere. Friendly servers. Loved my chocolate dipped soft ice cream ! read more

THE WORST EVER. The wait in the DRIVE-THROUGH was 45 minutes with only two cars in front of mine. I could of made my own bbq chicken tendies in that time. read more

Burgers from this place are nasty, they have holes that look like barnacles on the patty. Cheese curds had no cheese and the cheese that was in there was burnt out of the actually ball, don't recommend getting those. HAVE AGAIN: Old fashioned chocolate shake was very good and made correctly. Not an easy location to get to, but worthwhile.

The girl behind the counter which I believe was Nicole. She did an amazing job on the blizzard and made sure to do the flip we live down in Red Bluff so we made the trip here since they're no close Dairy Queen's but it's decently clean, good lighting and decently fast service for you much stuff they had going on. The food/ice cream was great we got m&m blizzards and kids enjoyed them a lot. read more

We drive 15 minutes and waited in drive they for over 49 minutes . First we were told several flavors not available . After getting 4 different Blizzards we left and when we stared to enjoy the product we discovered $26.00 dollars of Blizzards tasted like frozen Milk My butter finger was only on the top not mixed well ! We could have goto store and purchased several gallons of better ice cream ! Corporate need to step in and check product and employees have bad attitude and rush orders. During COVID we wanted to support the employees and this is what we get !!!! read more

I came here with my girls long wait (20mins). Which we don't mind being patient. But there was no one ahead of us. There were 7 employees that I could see and a manger barking orders and pulling employees to the side. It looked like she was reprimanding them. I think the manager or shift leader, whatever she is... is the reason for the horrible service. Ice cream was decent. But their management needs help or better training. I'm sure we will return at some point because ice cream options are limited In our area. But hopefully someone reads this and helps them out. Also want to point out that after reading the other reviews. The Dairy Queen Corp Business Manager leaving the same generic response to the negative reviews here is pretty tacky. Don't bother sending a reply off you are just going to auto fill it with the same response. Look at the what people are complaining about and address the issues. Thank you for you time:) read more

Driving through the area on the way home and we wanted ice cream so we stopped here. In the meantime, we figured we should eat something before dessert and, in the interest of making good time, decided just to get burgers here too. The burgers and fries were ok, nothing special but nothing terrible. Dipped cone: my wife enjoyed it but I feel like you can't really mess up soft serve. Milkshake: my daughter liked it, she wanted whipped cream but they were out. How does DQ run out of whipped cream? My peanut buster parfait: it was good. They were out of whole peanuts so they used the chopped nuts which doesn't bother me but they put about 3 big old cups of chopped peanuts on top (which was a bit too much) and then put the cover on. So you may ask, how can you order a peanut buster parfait and complain about too many peanuts? Well, when I took the top off to eat it, most of those chopped peanuts just fell out all over me. Really just made a mess. Also the people working there seemed to not really care about anything more than just kickin it with each other. Their attitudes and just watching them talk instead of work really just said it all. On top of all of that, the food and the dessert took FOREVER for us to get. I don't live close but even if I did, I wouldn't be back. read more

My Daughter went online for my birthday and ordered me a $40 gift card, first off they don't let you use them for curbside pickup.. I have a bad knee hard to get in & out of my vehicle. Second I called to ask if I can use it in the drive thru and the kid gave the phone to the manager who had no clue how to work the gift card & said they would call back after they talked to another manager, hours later they called back saying they didn't know how to use it either. I said ok so I have to come in? They weren't even sure how to do that either... idk about this card thing!!!!! read more

Sunday- They're suppose to close at 10:00pm. I went by at 9:45pm and they had a green SUV blocking the entrance of the drive thru sooooo they lost money by closing early ... Update...8/31/2020 They close at 9:00pm Now. Hours aren't updated at all anywhere. read more

Well if you've been here you know why I gave this place 1 star.We ordered 5 cones....it took them 20 mins to make them, they made them wrong....the the idiot manager then kicked us out of their dining room.....the damn store was open when we orders you morons!!!!! Won't be back!!!! read more

I went to try their new take five ice cream today not realizing that it has chunks of peanuts in it. Went inside to look at the menu and the lady serving up ice cream was extremely rude to me when I simply asked if peanuts was supposed to be in the ice cream because I have a vision problem the lady proceeded to give me a big attitude clearly does not belong working there Would not recommend this business to people with kids as the staff is extremely slow and rude for the minute we walked in the door it took them 10 minutes to serve us and then once they took our order the guy ignored us instead of handing us our receipt we had to reach across the counter route to grab a receipt very very rude staff employed at my local DQ very bad mannered staff read more

If I could do zero stars I would. Literally everything I asked for was unavailable. How do you have a joint that sells ice cream and ice cream associated foods and have NOTHING available?!?! And whoever the jackass was on the drive thru mic should be fired. After I'd ask for one thing and was told it wasn't available or the machine was broken or whatever, they'd say in a very annoyed voice "what else do you want?". Finally I said, I want nothing and ended up sitting in the drive thru for a total of 29 minutes until I could though the line. Now I understand why they make the drive thru's in a way that you can't get out. Worst. Place. Ever read more

Decided to stop and get a treat, took about 15 minutes to finally get up to the order box. Ordered 4 shakes 2 large, 1 medium, 1 small. 3 of which were Cake Shakes...... After ordering, it took Literally 30 minutes to get to the window THEN another 7-8 minutes for them to even acknowledge our presence. As we waited we watched as they worked our order (mind you still No ,"Hey there, sorry for the wait." Or "Hi there welcome to DQ" nothing.) No Masks while preparing our order, No gloves while preparing our order and Definitely weren't any gloves or washing of Bare hands after handling our money and going back to finish our order they STILL hadn't even gotten done. Now idk about you but I thought cake shakes....HAD CAKE IN THEM????!!! SO disappointed will never be going to this Dairy Queen EVER again. I'm no Karen but I can tell you I WANTED TO BE ONE. I guess my 4 year old son made her upset by saying ,"why are you taking so long?" Because our change was shoved at us and the window shut in our face. I would definitely recommend going to any other DQ then this one. Just saying. One more thing....pointed directly at the So called Manager who keeps telling people to give them one more chance....maybe you should re-read ALL of the complaints and look in the mirror and actually make a change. It is disgusting that you allow your employees to continue to keep working there without wearing masks and worse of all GLOVES. Disgusting and I would love a refund seeing as we couldn't even ask since she slammed the window in our face but not even worth it. Again pointed directly at the owner/manager FIX YOUR PROBLEMS WITHIN BEFORE YOUR BUSINESS....GOES OUT OF BUSINESS. Gross read more

The service tonight was atrocious. I get it....ok....its a fast food place. We ordered a chili cheese dog....the girl had to "check" and see if they even had them. They did. (P.s. on the menu) Then a corn dog. They were out. Ok fine. Then the salted caramel truffle blizzard. This is specifically how I ordered the blizzard. Me: can I get the mini salted caramel truffle blizzard Snarky girl behind the microphone: a medium? Me and my fiance: a mini Her: medium? Me (louder and irritated): a mini Her (yelling and with attitude) Oh we dont have the stuff for it. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU ASK FOR A MEDIUM IF YOU DIDNT HAVE IT? We left before they could spit in our food. read more

I ordered the flamethrower triple burger combo which was $14.36 out the door. It included fries and a drink. When I opened the bag after arriving home, the burger was tiny and missing a patty (so it was a double) and it looked like it had been thrown together by a 3 year old. The burger was complete garbage. It tasted like it came of a griddle that had never been cleaned! For the price I paid, I would also expect more than 10 french fries! I would not recommend this dump to my worst enemy, Go to In-N-Out instead! At least you get what you pay for and its good no matter which restaurant you visit. read more

Worst Dairy Queen ever. Went in to get a chocolate shake, all of their machines were broken but they didn't tell us that until AFTER the one hour wait in the drive thru. You can't get out of the line once you're in, as there are cement walls around the drive. Horrible service! read more
