I love Orchard Nutrition, and shop there once a month to replenish my family's vitamins. One of the employees named Anthony has been particularly helpful. I went in one day with a plethora of questions, as I had an ailing daughter. He patiently educated me on several different remedies, and I was especially enthralled by his level of knowledge and expertise on the subject of mushroom species and their benefits. At home I implemented the vitamin regimen he had suggested for my daughter, and within a month I watched her flourish and heal significantly. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for Anthony's sincere concern, and his willingness to educate me (and later on my sons as well) on various natural cures for physical health issues. Here's the truth. 1. The Beverage Incident Was Not Theft * I was standing in line, it was my turn to pay, and I took a small sip of the drink due to extreme thirst. * My card malfunctioned temporarily. I offered to run to the ATM, but your staff refused and demanded the drink back. I handed it over--still nearly full. * Your staff said nothing about it being "opened" or "consumed" at that time. * You later filed a claim, were reimbursed, then made me pay again months later when I returned. * I asked, "If I'm paying, can I at least get the product?" The response: "It was already claimed out." I was told I'd be contacted when it came back in stock. I left empty-handed--you got paid twice. * That's double-dipping and potential insurance fraud. 2. You Lied About the Product Being "Consumed" * The drink was 98% full. Staff couldn't even tell it had been opened until I said so--your own employee admitted this. * When I came back to pay, I was told I would receive a replacement. Your staff wrote down my name and phone number. No one ever followed up. * Instead, I was threatened with a store ban unless I paid for a product you already got reimbursed for. * I've spent thousands at this store. To be treated with such reckless disrespect is unacceptable and discriminatory. 3. Sea Moss Incident - Expired, Defective Product * I purchased the product between June 20-23. The expiration date was July 7. * The product is meant to be taken once per day for 32 days. It expired before the 32-day protocol could be completed. * I returned it on July 29 with my receipt--only a few days past your "30-day" policy. * The product was barely used, still 80-90% full. I wasn't scamming--you sold me an expiring health product. * Staff gave multiple contradictory excuses, refused to process the return, made a scene, and humiliated me publicly. * Jen, your own staff, looked at the bottom of the jar and said: "This product is expired--some clients use it three times a day because it goes bad quickly." I told her: "This was my first time using sea moss, and I planned to take it once a day per the instructions. There are 32 servings in the jar--it wouldn't last if I tripled the dose." 4. Racial Bias Is Happening in Your Store * I have personally witnessed white customers getting flexible service, even without receipts. * My experience as a Black woman has been: * Aggressive * Publicly humiliating * Dismissive * Punitive * Your public response proves that instead of accountability, you prefer gaslighting and damage control. * DEI statements won't save you. Well, the owner wanted to remove the misconceptions she thinks I had and responded to my review. Interesting. To be clear, I WAS comparing their prices to other grocery stores in the area. Most are chains and larger than Orchard, but not all. Regardless of the reason, I think it's useful for folks to see a review stating the fact that their prices are very high. There is some kind of misunderstanding about the anti-vaccine event. Perhaps they advertised for an event that not their own? Perhaps one of the health seminars was about alternatives to vaccines? It's vivid to me and from before COVID. It affected so much that I stopped shopping there for a year. My review is unchanged. They have some unique products that cannot be found anywhere else in Redding. I've had lots of positive interactions with staff. The filtered water is terrific. If people value these things, they pay the prices. Most won't care about a vaccine thing from years ago anyway. It's about choices and we plan to continue purchasing some items there. read more

I have shopped at Orchard practically since they opened and I have seen it evolve into a truly wonderful store. I love the new look, so roomy and clean. I focus mainly on whole foods so I find their prices to be very fair and many times, lower than I can find elsewhere. I have gotten to know many of the employees and find them very friendly and helpful. I do most of my shopping here and can find most everything I'm looking for. If people complain about prices being high, look at your diet. If you focus on processed foods, yes, you will pay the price and this is true of all stores. We have considered moving nearer to my daughter and the first thing I think of is, they don't have an Orchard Nutrition, where will I shop? Almost a game changer. I came here seeking only a seasoning that for some reason I could not find anywhere else and I am accustomed to finding in health food stores. Not only did they have it they had it in different sizes and quantities including the low sodium variety. This store, this Mecca of Health, is like a shrine to both common and unique nutrition that's not only healthy and flavorful but interesting there were things that I've never tried that I couldn't help but get. They of course had the usual Staples fresh peanut butter, honey, organic healthier snacks, but then they had the more interesting things especially in the produce and meat sections. I haven't tried their food, but their customer service is the absolute worst. Other Yelpers have mentioned it as well. I checked Yelp and it says that they close at 9 p.m. today, but when I arrived they were having what seems to be an employee meeting. A woman, who identified herself as the owner, told me that they close at 7 PM. When I pointed out to her that Yelp indicates that they close at 9 PM and that I drove quite a distance to get there, she told me: "I am not on Yelp only Google." Seriously? I saw that someone has been responding to reviews that people posted about your business and you tell me in my face that you don't have Yelp. This is unbelievable shady and disrespectful. And you should know your business, period. I will never come back again and wouldn't encourage anyone with self-respect to be treated the way that even the owner treats customers. I love Orchard, reminds me of Down to Earth back home in Hawaii. I love the wide selection of grocery items they have to fit any/every dietary/lifestyle choice at an affordable cost. I purchase everything from essential oil, bath products, supplements and groceries here and they have always had what I needed. Their supplement section costs are very similar to Amazon, which surprised me so I don't mind paying a few extra cents or even a dollar to support one of our only natural grocers. Sometimes you can even find supplements at a better price here than online. They also have baked goods, I've tried the vegan chocolate chip cookies and they were pretty good. Most times everything is sold out by evening so if you want to try some you have to go during lunch. The deli makes the best sandwiches ever, you have to try one! Everything there is mostly organic, natural, preservative (nitrate/nitrite) free. I love the girls working back there, especially Tesla, she is so warm and friendly and always greets you with a smile (which is the cherry on top!) A sandwich is 7.99 and worth all of the money you'll pay for it because they do not skimp on anything they put in it. A veggie sandwich is 6.99 and I believe half a sandwich is 4.99, which honestly is a full meal in itself. They have fresh juices and soups as well. Redding is better off for having this amazing not so little health food store! Sandwich counter in the back, I went there SEVEN TIMES to get lunch, breakfast and items for my week stay in Redding. The prices beat Whole Foods in other cities (how could they not!?) but it was a nice surprise to get organic blueberries and grapes and raw sauerkraut and kombucha and alkaline water and not pay an arm and a leg. they also have a plentiful amount of staff so questions are welcome. there are two tables outside to eat lunch as well! but better drive over to the Sundial bridge and have lunch! read more

Their other produce is very good! I buy spices because they are just right in size for me.The honey, water. The eggs are organic, one thing is the egg shells are so brittle. My Nieces husband raised chicken had to add more Calcium to the diet! They live to far away to buy their eggs! I buy their Smart Chicken but I didn't know that it could stay in the refrigerator for 13 days before you have to cook or freeze. That is iffy to me! But that is not Orchards problem! So read more

Delish! The boba tasted great, and was told they make fresh batches every few hours! The staff was super friendly and informative. We tried the blended tarro vanilla phat tea with original boba, strawberry phat tea with rainbow popping boba, green apple smoothie and their fresh pressed sugar cane! I have shopped here for years, for all of my veggies until a couple weeks ago. They only had red leaf and green leaf lettuce very small heads and no romaine. 5.49 a head.
