We've traveled across the US a few times and love a great diner breakfast. Our party of seven agreed: this place is a winner. Most everything is from scratch, including the outstanding homemade jellies, best fluffy pancakes, huge and great-combination omelettes, sausage (large hand formed patty that my picky husband said was the best), amazing breakfast potatoes (the foodies among us tried to figure out how she made them), fluffy biscuits, homemade corned beef hash... The food is amazing but I think it's more like a $$$. It's a little pricey for what it is. The people are fabulous and even though it's always pretty busy they get your food out quickly. I'm a huge fan of the chorizo eggs with pancake on the side instead of toast. YUM!!! Their pancakes are delightful. read more

Holy cow, what a wonderful first meal of 2017. If I weren't just passing through Redding I would eat here often. I had the Breakfast Trendwich -- the chipotle garlic aioli and Gouda sounded too good to pass up. So glad I got it -- amazing. The potatoes weren't as great as I had hoped, but they were still good, especially with the egg yolk that had dropped from the sandwich. If I'm ever in Redding again I'll be back for breakfast, no doubt. read more

Great place, great atmosphere, and great employees. Got the philly melt and my sister got the teriyaki burger. My was pretty good, like mine with a bit more salt, but still good regardless. The fries with parleys flakes were cook to perfection. But my sister teriyaki burger had this extremely good sauce, it was a smoke teriyaki sauce maybe I don't know but I am loving it. read more

Let me start by saying, I love this place! Growing up, this was called gold street cafe and owned my great aunt and uncle. It was a place I went all the time and has such an important place in my heart. After they sold it, I went a handful of times, there were different owners than the current ones, it was nothing special. Well since it has become Trendy's, I have had nothing but wonderful experiences there! Amazing food, a creative and delicious menu. Everything is fresh. And the service is wonderful! The people who work there are lovely and welcoming. I highly recommend this place, I go there most Sundays for brunch and it's my favorite spot. Also, they make their own veggie patties if you don't eat meat, which I thought was so awesome! read more

This place is so cute. Came here with my boyfriend because of the good reviews and was glad I did! Everyone here is friendly, and there's a really warm vibe! Haha, the coffee cups are extra big and always filled. The food is good, really large portions though so you can definitely share between 2 people. Went for lunch and WOW I'll be back! I had the taco salad which was not your normal taco salad. No tortilla shell or beans. Instead, fresh favorable carnitas, on a bed of fresh greens with jicama, onion straws, and tomatoes. The salad dressing was unique, I believe an avocado flavor. I actually used very little as the salad itself was so flavorful. I passed on the garlic bread but I tried my husband's and definitely will get it next time. It's made on the sweet bread! I scoped out the other tables with food and everything looked delicious most customers were eating breakfast and it was noon, which made me wondering what I was missing. read more

Really enjoyed breakfast here. I had the stacked Benny sandwich. The hollandaise sauce was incredible... order extra if you're like me and enjoy a good hollandaise. French toast was awesome and crispy. My husband had the corned beef hash and that was also incredible! This is a great find in Redding. All of it was very tasty and the service was excellent. The food took longer than expected to arrive but well within tolerable especially since it was moderately full. We stopped in here for breakfast last Wednesday after reading the yelp reviews and I'm so glad we did! Very friendly, prompt service, great kids menu and SUPER reasonable prices. I had scrambled eggs with really flavorful breakfast potatoes, plus a biscuit with homemade strawberry jam that was delicious. And for $5, the mixed fruit was the best deal. When you think of mixed fruit, do you think of those sad little cups with unripe melon, grapes, and pineapple? NOPE. Here it's a big bowl with blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, ripe peach chunks, banana, and apple. I even watched as the staff brought out a table and chairs in front of the restaurant so some customers that had a dog with them could enjoy a meal, too. Great customer service! read more
